This is absolutely THE BEST TOUR my family has ever taken (and we book private tours all of the time). Arturo (American name, Arthur) was an incredible guide. He knew how to navigate the crowds in the various towns and took us to all of the best photo spots (and was more than happy to take an enormous amount of photos of us). He even helped my husband on the steep steps. Arthur’s kindness, big heart and love of Santorini did not go unnoticed. We ended the day with a fabulous lunch and swim in the ocean. I cannot recommended this tour enough.

Tour guide Arthur is amazing. He took us to places most crowded tours wouldn’t have access to. He explained the history behind the blue domes and explained Santorini‘s past. On this tour you get to see the entire island of Santorini. The guide will customize the day to fit your wants and limitations. That sounds good but we did not realize how it applied to us, since we knew very little about the island. This trip was Amazing. Arthur was a great tour guide. We were traveling as a family with a 1 year old. Arthur was kind and fun. So knowledge. We spent time at all of the major sites, including beach time at Black Beach, and even saw some hidden gems. The only way to truly experience Santorini, away from the crowds. Petros was our driver, and drove us to the 3 best beaches accessible by vehicle. Perfect for us. 5+ Star Experience with Artur for the Perfect Santorini Day

We’re a little late posting this review (almost two months—life was just life-ing!), but I didn’t need a reminder to write it. This experience stuck with us, and we couldn’t let it go by without thanking our amazing host. We booked a private tour through The Breeze Tour Company, and let me just say—Artur, our guide, deserves every single bit of praise he’s ever received (and then some). This was a 5+ star experience from start to finish. If you’re arriving in Santorini by cruise ship, you probably know the port can be tricky—it’s tender-only, and the cable cars only move so many people at a time. We were lucky enough to get on the very first tender (highly recommend doing this—if your cruise offers priority disembarkation, TAKE IT!). The earlier you get there, the better your day will be. Artur was already waiting for us before our ship had even finished docking. Communication beforehand was easy and prompt via WhatsApp—the company sends you your guide’s contact info, so everything is confirmed and stress-free before you arrive. The moment we met, Artur gave us an overview of his plan for the day based on our time in port. We agreed, hopped into our vehicle (exactly as pictured—spotless and ice-cold A/C, which was a gift from heaven on such a hot day), and set off. First stop? The most scenic, iconic spots—before the crowds showed up. Honestly, it felt like we had our own professional photographer. We walked, we drove, we explored hidden corners, monasteries, panoramic viewpoints, and neighborhoods full of character. Artur even took us to his own local area, sharing fascinating history and personal stories along the way. We enjoyed a delicious lunch (he waited patiently and encouraged us to relax), and later, he whisked us away to the most stunning black sand beach where we swam, sipped drinks, and soaked it all in. He never once rushed us—just made sure we stayed perfectly on schedule. The whole day was a mix of gorgeous views, history, humor, great conversation, and that “local insider” feeling you just can’t get from a big group tour. It was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We’ve already recommended Artur to two friends visiting Santorini soon, and we’ll keep doing so. Worth every single dollar. If you want an unforgettable day in Santorini, book Artur. You’ll thank yourself later.

Our experience was amazing our guide was knowledgeable and taught us so much. He even stopped for a coffee and pastry at a local shop. Have to say was truly an amazing tour. I would do this tour again. Driver was awesome. On time. Met us outside cable car area. If you do this tour, leave yourself a good hour to get off boat and up tram. We had the most amazing tour with our guide, Gorge. Gorge was incredibly knowledgable about the island and provided us with so much interesting information and history. Gorge planned the tour perfectly and expressed to us that we were more than welcome to customize the tour any way we liked. Gorge knew all the tips and tricks on avoiding crowds, especially in Oia. Upon Gorge's recommendation, we stopped in Oia first before it got super crowded, and he even knew of a "secret spot" to get pictures of the infamous blue domes without having to wait in a huge line. Gorge also took us to a delicious lunch spot that was on the black sand beach. I really can't recommend this tour enough. We were on a cruise ship and Gorge made it possible to see as much of the island as we could in a day before we had to return to the ship. It was the most perfect and memorable day!

We chose the breeze tour Santorini based on reviews and the fact that we wanted it to be a private tour for just two people. They were great with being flexible…we were able to start early to beat the crowds. I will say a lot of people seem to just wander around Santorini but if you do that you’re going to miss out. Our guide Arthur was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable, talking about the history of Santorini and lots of information we never would have known otherwise. And our own built-in photographer! He knew exactly where we should stand to get the perfect shot…in Santorini it’s all about the breathtaking views! We covered so much ground…from Thira to Oia to overlooking the red beach & the black sand beach. It’s a lot of walking and a little strenuous but so worth it! We had made our own lunch reservation and he called them to confirm for us & at the end of the tour he walked us there. Great day!

Summary: Our guide (Arthur) was great. We got a thorough tour of the island and experienced a lot of its diversity. The tour description needs to be more explicit that the wine cave / wine museum experience and tasting is an additional expense. (45 euros per person minimum) which our guide told us right away. It was worth it. Detail We booked this tour as a shore excursion from our cruise because 1- every cruise offered excursion was booked and 2- a friend did it last year and highly recommended it. The tourism season in March through October with peaks in June/july/august. But even in May it was shoulder to shoulder crowded in town. There were 3 large cruise ships in the bay the day we came. Often there are twice as many. So if we had done a group excursion we would not have seen even half of what we were able to experience in this private tour. We went all over the island and Arthur cleared paths for us to be able to get through the crowds to perfect spots for pictures. We went to 3 of the main villages (the one the cable car dumps you in, Fira and Oia) , We saw the red and black beaches, went to the hill where the monastery is for a full 360 degree view of the island, and the wine cave all with plenty of time to get back into town and get some food, ouzo and a local beer. I was really nervous about the process for getting from the port to the meeting spot but it was totally fine. Our boat arrived early and the line wasn’t bad at all so we were early. If you’re arriving after 10am you nay need to prepare for a long line to the cable car. We walked down the long path to get back. It’s steep and the rocks are uneven and slippery. You need shoes with better tread. My running shoes were a bit worn and I wished I had trail shoes on me for that. We saw someone get carried up with a broken ankle. Don’t be that person. Or take the donkey. I only saw people going up that way. I suspect that’s not a coincidence. Bring layers. It’s warm in the sun and then at elevation gets really windy. The wine tasting was totally worth it.

Arthur was a wonderful tour guide! He was always enthusiastic to show us Santorini, and made sure we saw every site possible in one day. He took some truly great photos of our family everywhere. He was incredibly generous with his time, and stayed with us for several hours past the scheduled time. I have 3 young adult sons and he did a great job engaging them, with special hiking adventures. At one point, we went to a wine tasting, and my husband wasn't interested so Arthur took him to a cafe and they spent the time together. We had an amazing time with Arthur as our tour guide. We were a large group of 9 and Arthur was extremely accommodating. We got to our port earlier than expected and Arthur was able to pick us up earlier so we can maximize our time. He showed us around the island and we learned so much. He is very knowledgeable. He knows all the great, hidden spots with less crowds and showed us all the places to get the best pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Arthur. With a big group of 9, he was very patient, kind, and generous. He even showed us a really great seafood restaurant at the end of the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting santorini! It’s a much more intimate experience getting a private tour from a local rather than through the cruise excursions and big group tours.
