This tour was amazing. Akrotiri was more impressive to me than Pompeii on some levels and I would recommend to anyone. I think what made the whole tour more special was tania our guide. She was informative and fun and I have been on lots of tours around the world and she was the best guide I’ve had. Thank you for an amazing day

The excavations visit was interesting. It was a long trek up a rocky path to view the red beach for a photo. Not good for the elderly or anyone unsteady on their feet.

This is a good, fun way to learn some history. Started with time out at a monastery, visit to old village of Megalochoria, the Red beach and the black beach of Perissa.

The tour has a great pace. Tania was funny, enthusiastic, welcoming and warm. The driver Dimitris was amazing traveling thru those narrow roads. We were given enough time at each spot, akrotiri blew my mind ( the tour guide was very knowledgeable) , Megalochori stole our hearts.The tour ends with a stop at Perissa which was refreshing although that area of Perissa ( north) isnt the best.

We went to see Akrotiri… this was fulfilled. We enjoyed the archaeological site immensely. The other stops were interesting… but the whole tour was much longer than we expected…we did not plan on eating lunch at 4 pm and returning to our hotel at 6… I think a lunch at red beach would have sufficed … Tonya was an excellent an informative guide.

Tanya the tour guide with Kamari tours was great and seemed to be having fun! It was a good value. The archeological site is a separate fee because it is run by the government and the guide there will be specially trained and licensed. Only they are allowed to speak about archeology and historical at the site.

What an amazing tour with such interesting stops, and our lovely, zany tour guide Tanya! We saw Akrotiri, Red Beach, stopped for lunch at Black Beach (Aquarius restaurant had the best food), and walked through the village of Megalochori! One of the best tours I did in Santorini! Tanya was wonderful and kept us so entertained!

Covered a lot of interesting things but group size was unmanageable, particularly during the otherwise fascinating Akrotiri tour. Could not hear much of what was said. Group leader difficult to understand at times.

Our guide for the bus tour on June 5th was amazing! So knowledgeable and kind and funny. The tour of the archeological site was wonderful. Seeing the 4,000 year old town that was preserved by the ash is unbelievable. Only wish would be that we could spend more time there.

Tanya was informative, very helpful and passionate. The itenary included an extra stop at a quaint village, Megalachori which had 70 churches, very picturesque. The tour included pick up and drop off in the price and I emailed Kamari tours after booking to find out the pick up point in Imerovigli. Be prepared for a 1km walk to and from Akrotiri museum to Red beach where there is only time for photos. This allowed 30mins rest at black beach. All in all an excellent day woth a good mix of history, beauty and beach time.

Bus was late. Much traffic for such a large bus with 50 people on narrow hard to navigate streets. Couldn’t hear tour guide. They need headsets with a large group!!! Tour of excavations was beautiful but too rushed!! Fee is not €10 it is €12 and there is no wine tasting as advertised on the app.

Our tour guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the day. The monastery views were incredible along with the Red beach but the tour of Akrotiri was so engaging and the guide there was another fountain of knowledge. Highly recommend to history lovers and day trippers alike.

The bus was a bit late to pick up, but they did provide the hotel transfer requested. Tanya, the guide was wonderful, so friendly, knowledgeable and helped to take photos at the sites we visited. This was especially helpful for large groups, and for myself as a solo traveller.

Fabulous tour and Tania was the best!! I thought this was just a bus ride to Akrotiri with a couple stops along the way...I was sooo wrong!! Tania treated us all like family from the moment we got on the bus. She shared lots of history, pointed out sites, took pictures for us, and entertained us with stories and even some singing!! Each stop on the tour had enough time to enjoy the sites without waiting around for long periods of time. Take this tour, you won't regret it!! Be sure to wear good walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring along some snacks.
