First of all, the drinks at the bar are top notch! Our tour guide’s name was Rogelio and he was very informative. We really enjoyed the history tour and also we enjoyed the privilege of tasting the fine rums, especially the 4 and 5 stars. We loved the certificates too! We are going to keep them in our bar area at home. This was worthwhile. Also, the property itself is beautiful.
I think it might save some money to buy this tour directly on the website of the distillery instead of through Viator because there really was no “line” to skip. But it was useful since I booked other tours on Viator so I kept track of things easier on the app.

The rum was delicious and the history of this company and the behind the scenes tour of the factory where it’s made and bottled is very special. The signature cocktails at the bar are excellent and the hand shaken pina colada is not to be missed!!

Skip Bacardi and go straight to the good rum in Bayamón . Complete with a thoughtfully crafted cocktail, the rum tasting and distillery tour was an excellent choice to get out of the busy city to see the lovely estate in Bayamón. The guide was thorough and enticing, while still allowing us ample time to ask question and walk around. Suffice to say, we never felt dragged around or missing out on any information due to the smaller tour size. The proceeding rum tasting was of great value and I left excited to say I’ve tasted all their rums from 2-5 star ages.

This was a fun experience. The tour is interesting and our guide explained tbe history of the company and the family along with how the rum is produced. The tasting was great. If you love rum, you will enjoy this. The tasting includes the good stuff. Between tis tour and the one at the other place (Bacardi), pick this one.

High end experience similar to distillery tours in the states. Would definitely recommend. Good value between the tastings and complimentary drink from the bar. Nice place to enjoy drinks and a cigar on their back patio.

Knowledgeable guide but not cost effective. Mentioned the gift shop 4-5 times. Was disappointed we had to buy a full bottle or wanted a small sampler to purchase.
Very expensive and would have appreciated a charcuterie to absorb some of the alcohol.

Very informative loved it. Pedro was superb very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely recommend. The bartender made this Pina colada which was out of this world. I have never in my life tasted such a drink like this. Can't forget the shop guy thank you so much great kind man. Amazing staff keep up the great work.

The best Rum I ever tasted. In an elite class with your top self whiskeys, bourbons and cognacs. The up close and personal tour of the family history the facilities where the process happen was amazing. The tasting tour allow you to be a part of history. Marjorie was a exceptional tour guide, her energy and her personal dedication stamps the tour with 100% Authenticity!

After reading recent reviews of another rum distillery in Puerto Rico, I did a bit of googling and found out about Ron del Barrillito. As those reviews said, this tasting tour is nice and intimate; we were a group of 10. Our tour guide was very informative, fun, and welcomed questions. The history of the distillery is quite interesting, and it was neat to see the different parts of the distillery and taste their unique rums. The 4 and 5 star are excellent, but the 3 star is very nice as well. Their rums have a bit of a different flavor, being done in a style like Cognac, but are great sipping rums. If you aren't a fan of big crowds and want a fun, unique rum distillery tour with great rums to taste, this one is worth it.

Incredible tour experience! Our tour guide Marjorie was so kind and funny and she was very knowledgeable about the distillery and its history. We learned a lot about the history of the distillery and got to see the entire operation. The welcome cocktail was so delicious that we came back to the bar for more cocktails after the tour!! Our bar tender was also so kind and helpful. The rum tasting at the end was awesome, 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic tour of the small batch rum distillery. We would absolutely recommend this one and will definitely do it again if in the area. The tour was an hour and the tasting was great! Lots of details that should be a surprise, and they left us very happy!

This is a pretty good value as you get a welcome drink, and then during the tour you get a tasting of their 4 rums. I would recommend.

I am SO glad that we chose Ron del Barrilito’s for this experience! Very, very lovely people greeted us as we waited for our tour to begin. They gave us a coin for a free drink (which was delicious). We went through the family home and distillery, as well as the barrel house. So much history about the making of rum! Then we got to the good stuff! We tried five different bottles of their delicious rum, from their one-star bottle all the way up to the five star (which sells for a mere $750. 😮 This was a fun, informative tour. Thank you, Viator!

Our tour guide, Timmy, was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. The rum was amazing and the drinks were even better (I recommend the Pina Colada and the Cigar Old Fashion)! Friendly staff from check-in to the bar!

I loved this distillery tour! Ron del Barrilito has a small operation, where everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, meaning and the tour itself felt extremely intimate which I loved. You will learn so much about the history of the company/distillery and got to drink not only a free cocktail of your choice, but also taste the 2, 3, 4, and 5 star rums! I definitely left feeling a little tipsy and a lot more informed. My favorite part was learning about the historical context of the company, especially the story being "La Doña." If you can only do one distillery tour, definitely do this one! The space is beautiful as well to just sit outside and sip a tasty drink afterwards.
