The cold and hot springs were both a refreshing end to our week in NPR. Narayan (guide) was incredibly knowledgeable about PR and told interesting stories about a variety of aspects of PR - it made an already enjoyable trip even more so!

NaRyan was amazing! He was prompt, courteous and was just and all around great Host!! He took his time and gave us a great tour of the Island and gave us some History as well, That within itself was well worth the experience! I will definitely use him again for a different experience on my next vacation!!

Lack of due diligence made the trip a dud but food was good

What was going to be a pretty awesome cold water springs adventure turned out to be more of a dud. Tour started off great with some tasty pork derived foods that we hadn't tried before and the food was delicious. Though tour operator was lively and fun, he hadn't checked the locations from after the storm so the cold water location was filled to the brim with sediment. The waterfall was nice but we couldn't swim or jump off the rocks or really do anything except take a few pictures (usually the water is really deep and can be jumped in from even the top of the waterfall). Because this was a letdown, he took us to a 2nd location to hopefully stand under a different waterfall but unfortunately, flash flooding crept up during our time we were there so we were only able to look from afar (great picture location though). Hot springs were working just fine, unfortunately couldn't enjoy it because of 10,000 mosquitos and gnats landed on us every second. Stopped for ice cream at the end but the drive was too far to do what we were supposed to that we didn't get to do. Tour operator really needed to check out the tour terrain and locations beforehand.

Dear RANDY_F, We are very sorry your expectations weren’t met. We apologize for this. Thank you for reviewing us and telling others how it went. We will now provide some context from our end. It is true that we had a tropical storm in September 2022. It became Hurricane Fiona after leaving Puerto Rico. This spring was not affected by category 5 Hurricane Maria years ago. We were not expecting this to happen with a passerby, lesser storm, without direct impact and we never expected it to become due diligence for us. None of our team members live close to this place. It would have been hard to know. Addressing the Cold Spring stop specifically, the water was crystal clear as usual. Those sediments you have mentioned were more like rocks and pebbles, the group were able walk on them. Our guests’ shoes weren’t sinking in some dirt and water, like quicksand. We couldn’t perform jumps, but we did get wet. As you mentioned, because we didn’t spend the same amount of time there, our guide Narayan, traveled to a second place to show another waterfall, only there was flash flooding in that different town. We believe this showed a good heart on his part, and that his intentions were honest and up to the standards we expect of our personnel here at Seeing Puerto Rico, LLC. Also, our Ice-cream stop is in Caguas, on the return leg of our travel back to San Juan. We do go far on the tour, but not for this specific stop. When this situation happened, we closed all feature calendar dates for this Cold & Hot Spring Escape to Nurture Body & Soul, on all our booking platforms. We wanted to safeguard this wonderful Puerto Rican experience from additional lesser reviews. There’s quite a lot of work that goes into making this an awesome tour. We didn’t cancel anyone, but we stopped taking bookings. We honored very customer. We informed each of the situation, and we offered another Cold Spring as an alternative. This process has been done without a hiccup with no additional bookings having been taken. Some of those who decided they would still come and do the tour, despite this change, have already left their opinions here. Yesterday, March 29th, 2023, while in the process of fulfilling our prior bookings, and phasing out the tour, a customer asked to be taken to the original place. The one filled with rocks and pebbles anyway. On arriving there our guide and customer found that the Cold Spring has been altered once again. Recent rains have made it deep. So, we are happy to inform everyone reading this that we are reopening and taking bookings once again for our Cold & Hot Spring Escape to Nurture Body & Soul. This tour is provided between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Fridays. As a part of keeping the tour going, we are looking forward to contacting community members in the area there, to learn of feature changes that may occur to the Cold Spring ahead of our tours. Na’Ryan was great! We came on an all girls bday trip for me and let me tell you this was a hit! We loved that Na’Ryan explained every detail of the culture on the ride. The falls are amazing. Hiking was amazing. The local rest was amazing! We will definitely return.

The best tour if you’re looking for a mini adventure into the “wild” and off the “touristy” path. The hike through the rainforest was amazing as well as the springs. Our guide Narayan was super amazing and so knowledgeable!

The cold spring was so beautiful and fun to swim in. If you’re adventurous you can jump from a high point. Make sure you wear sandals or water shoes because some parts of the walk are through water. Narayan our guide was very knowledgeable. Vegetarians: the restaurant has limited options so eat a bigger breakfast. The hot springs are so relaxing and calm. The ice cream at the end is so yummy! Small group size and unique tour makes this tour a must!

I fell, scraped my knee and got all bloody, it was all worth it. Getting to the cold springs was a challenge because I have lot of problems with my feet and I’m seriously overweight. The tour guide was patient, and amazingly inspirational- he basically held my had the whole way through. This does involve a bit of climbing down and up a rocky path, going thru water, walking through a little “jungle”.

This is definitely a Mind and Body experience! I was challenged by the hike through the rocks, greenery and creek then rewarded with the beautiful cold spring and mini waterfall! The hot springs was good to loosen muscles after the hike! Lunch was a delicious authentic meal and ice cream was a great treat! You get all that’s described and more!

I had a great experience. The tour guide was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with us. He educated us on everything from the flowers that we passed on the high way, to the backroads that we traveled, and the mountains that we viewed. Great tour...we even jump off the rocks into the cold springs! An overall great day!!
