This was great! Our guide, Jesus, was friendly and knowledgeable. The camels were amazing. The ride was short but then we took pictures with the camels and explored the beautiful property and had a great meal. Then we tried different tequilas and watched the sunset. The whole thing was fantastic.

This was an amazing adventure. Diana our guide was awesome. She was able to translate from Spanish to English amazingly!! She was so knowledgeable and funny. I wish the camel ride was a bit longer. The food was delicious. I Highly recommend this adventure!

Itinerary

Depart from your Los Cabos hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and drive along the scenic Pacific coastline. Escape the tourist crowds as you venture deep into the scenic countryside to Rancho Tierra Sagrada, an idyllic oceanfront ranch. Listen as your guide regales you with tales of Mexico’s colorful culture and history, admiring the cactus-lined roads and unique ambiance of the surroundings.

On arrival at the ranch, gain insight into the Baja peninsula’s ecology as you enjoy a scenic stroll on a coastal trail. Climb atop an awaiting camel to admire the seaside scenery from a unique vantage point; venture over the soft sands on a 20-minute beach safari atop your camel.

Return to the ranch and smile for special shots on your camel. Once your unforgettable moment has been captured on camera, settle into a comfortable seat overlooking the ocean for a flavorsome and fulfilling Mexican lunch. Treat your taste buds to the unique taste of traditional specialties, observing the ocean for humpback whales if you’re visiting between December and April.

Then, pleasure your palate with samples of tasty tequila. Return to your awaiting vehicle to enjoy the journey back to a central Los Cabos location.

Our favorite excursion ever!

Coming from the cruise tender drop off, the pickup location is a short walk from the pier (by the surfboard circle). We had bad weather in the morning, so we missed our earlier time (12:00 pm) because we couldn’t get off the boat via tenders. We were able to secure a later time (4:00 pm) by communicating through the app and it actually worked out better as we got to see the sunset and it was cooler. Check in was in the air conditioned building, with bathrooms. The shuttle to Tierra Segrada was about an hour. Once we arrived, check in was smooth and we paid our $25 each. We waited only briefly and were divided into smaller groups. Bill was our guide and he was amazing! We met Marvel the camel, got professional pictures taken with him, and learned all about the program. We then donned our caps, helmets, and white turbans and boarded our camels from a platform (and sat on mats). We rode Sammy. The ride began through the scrub and then opened out to the beach. The views were amazing! The camels were so gentle. The guides made sure we were all okay. We walked up and down the beach. The photographer took pictures and drone video. The scenery was fantastic and the ride was about 20-30 minutes. No cell phones - so you enjoyed the experience. We went back through the ocean foliage and got off the camels. There is a platform and they assist you the entire time. From there, we walked to a covered outdoor area where we had time to explore and take pictures of the beach. We also viewed and purchased the professional pictures - around $120 but risky worth it in our opinion. The buffet was filled with authentic and homemade Mexican fare (with vegetarian options). The variety was good and we so enjoyed the brewed hibiscus tea and tamarind juice. We could also have beer, but we aren’t beer drinkers. Dinner was accompanied by socialization with our group, lots of laughter. We could go back and get as much as we wanted. Bill then demonstrated how to make a tortilla. Tequila tasting followed and included Spanish toasts and camaraderie. Finally we had some time to watch the sunset and take in the scenery. We took at buggy back to the front area and boarded the shuttle to take us back to the pier. Tierra Segrada is like an ocean jungle with camels - like Jurassic Park). It was clean, well maintained, and there were clean bathrooms, a snack bar, and a gift shop. The eco-tourism aspect was refreshing from the push of the water-based and boat-based activities at the marina. The conservation aspect was informative and the animals were well taken care of. Overall, this was by far our favorite excursion ever. The weather delay worked in our favor and would recommend the later booking time.

Overall, the camel back riding and tequila tasting went well! We did have communication issues in the beginning. Unfortunately we didn't know that the excursion location is an hour away from the meet up spot and they left within 10 min of the pick up time which was not stated when booking. We missed them by 7 min and check in area couldn’t help. Thankfully I was able to message through viator and we got rebooked for the next one - yay! Then we got in the shuttle bus and the driver was talking on the phone the whole time and driving slow then randomly pulled over at a bus stop and we had to switch to another shuttle van. We were confused and worried at the lack of communication there but everything was smooth afterwards! Our tour guide Daya was amazing! Definitely recommend! Food provided was ok!

This was an unforgettable adventure for my mom which has a desire to ride camels in Dubai. I’m glad that this is offered in Cabo, now we’re ready for a international experience. This excursion offered a scenic camel ride with a delicious, hearty buffet lunch. Our friendly guide Alina was welcoming, funny, shared local insights, the animal handlers ensured everyone felt safe the entire time. Tierra Sagrada was wrapped up with incredible views of the beach, swings, and pool area., and flavorful food. The pick up is included which is a plus our driver was also great! Highly recommended for families and couples alike!

Very well organized tour. My family and adult kids loved it, they said it was our favorite part of the trip. And my 11 year old ate everything from the buffet. The 4pm time slot had an absolutely gorgeous sunset. Great activity and value!

Our guide Pablo was great and food was a good sample of Mexican cuisine. Camel ride is only 20 minutes but the set up for it was worth it.

The tour guide was AMAZING! The food was good. My only reservation is there is a weight limitation!!! If youre over 250, you cannot ride!!!! NO EXEMPTION! NO EXCEPTION!!! I tried to get a refund, and was very strongly told absolutely not! I was embarrassed... as I did not know that there was a weight restriction! I had to get on a scale in front of EVERYONE else, then they placed a white bracelet to ensure i did not get on the camel! Everyone who was present was trying to inquire as to why I couldnt ride and I had to explain to everyone else that im too overweight!!! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS OPTION FOR AN EXCURSION!!!!

Truly an amazing experience. Just know that the camel rides were only 20-30 minutes of the total day, but the grounds are beautiful (on the beach) and the staff goes above and beyond to make each guest feel welcome. The food is great and you also have some interaction and photos with “Hercules” who’s the coolest camel in their stable.

Overall experience was just fine. There was no clear itenery of the trip and the camel ride was only 15 mins, others are buffet and sunset viewing at the beach which was fine but was not what it was advertised and expected. Long story short it was a ok trip if you look for a chill day. But not very worthy considering the comuting and waiting time.

It was a wonderful camel ride, though it’s never long enough. 😃 Our guide, Alina, was so energetic and knowledgeable. She made the experience that much more fun. The rest of the staff very polite. It was relaxing. My only negative is the single photo price is higher than other adventures. I would have bought two had they not been $50 ea. and the full file of photos just $119.

It was great to be able to say that I rode a camel, the food was good, and our guide (Daya) was amazing…. That being said, the cost was really just a taxi ride since you still have to buy a ticket for the experience once you get there.

The camel ride was enjoyable and a different experience. Diana, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The Mexican lunch was a big disappointment and was not Mexican at all. We ate very little due to what was served. We would not do this tour again due to the food which we were looking forward to eating.

This tour was amazing, so fun, knowledgeable, organized, professional, and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery! The driver was very punctual, picked us up right at our hotel, and drove us 45 mins to the ranch. The camels were so calm, healthy, well behaved, and treated properly by staff. Seeing how much they cared for the camels was very wholesome and def gave us peace of mind. The camel ride itself was about 25 mins on the beach and we were allowed to take pics and record with our phones during the ride which we appreciated! The only time we couldn’t use our phone was when we were having professional pictures taken with the camel..they turned out so good we ended up buying the package. The tequila tasting and food they served were also so good! Overall great experience! This tour was worth every penny so glad we did it!
