This tour takes you to the Equator Museum, up the Teleferico and then on a Tour of the Old City of Quito. There were only 3 of us plus the driver and guide. Our guide, Iban, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Our driver was very professional. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you only have 1 day in Quito as I did. We were picked up at the hotel at 8:30AM and returned there at 5:00PM. The old city of Quito is lovely, the view from the Teleferico is beautiful and the Equator museum is very interesting.

Less then 24hrs before my tour I get a message from the tour company that a surcharge of $50 is required to pick me up from the Quito airport hotel, even though I designated this pickup location when I booked it months ago. Then they go on to tell me I was the only one that booked that tour, so it will be another $85 if I want to go on the same date. They pointed out in the “fine print” that they had the right to do this. Apparently having the right is more important then good customer service. They ended up canceling and refunding my money, but it was a horrible experience. I would think twice before booking another tour with Viator.

When you book a tour, you must check well the policies. It clearly says "Minimum 2 passengers in shared service" Was only you on this tour, right? We have notified you 24 hours before as our policies say. We offer free hotel pick-up and drop-off only in Quito. Your hotel is located 1 hour away from the city ( Tababela - near to the airport) we offer to pick up and drop off from there, only with an extra charge of $50 total. It is not our fault that you do not check well the cancellation policies that are exposed in Viator.

Diego was my tour director and he was awesome - very knowledgeable and highly recommended! Learned a lot at Mitad del Mundo, enjoyed the views from the look out point of TelerifiQo, went chocolate tasting and did a walking tour of historic Quito!

Our tour guide, Xavier, was excellent. Ended up in a small group of only 3 people. Well worth going to middle of the World. Old town Quito was also interesting. Sadly, when we went to the Teleferico, it was closed for maintenance so we didn’t get to do the cable car or walk around the volcano…which were the primary reasons I booked the tour. Instead, Xavier took us to the Virgin statue and overlook, which I appreciated but still left a hole in the itinerary. As the entrance fee was included in the tour cost, I would have appreciated an offer to refund or give a tour credit. In any case, overall it was a good way to see some of the city.

This tour was our second in our vacation in Quito, another fantastic time. We started by going to a muesuem that also doubled as the location of the center of the world. Although I'm sure there's some debate to that but it was enlightening none the less. Then we took the skytram all the way up to the top of the mountain and had some spectacular views despite some wet weather. A short hike was taken as well to a higher location on the mountain, if you have time you can rent out couple burros to take you even higher! Then after a short lift ride back to Terra firma we proceeded to the last and my favorite part of the tour, going to old Town Quito. It was awesome and a privilege to see one the world's first heritage sites. Lunch is held at a hidden gem of a local restaurant, (own expense) after getting our fill of historic buildings and old cathedrals we were on our way back to our hotel. A long day but worth every minute. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I had a great time on this tour. We were in a small group and got to see the highlights of Quito including a wonderful lunch. Tour guide was knowledgeable and caring when we were struggling a bit with the altitude.

My mistake to book the wrong date. But the tour company is NOT willing to either cancel, reschedule, or partially refund the payment of $119.
Today I was able to visit all the key sites along with an interesting tour with taxi rides and paid less than 2/3 of the cost with a lot of flexibilities.
Not sure about how the actual tour would have been. But other tour operators had been very helpful in similar situations before. I’d recommend to book the tour just one day before your planned date. There are plenty of options right now.

Great day trip to Mitad del Mundo/Inti Ñan Museum to explore the middle of the world and learn about the physics surrounding it. Followed by a view of the city by the Teleférico and swing. Then finished with a little walk through the historic part of Quito city, learning of its history and having a chocolate tasting. Shout out to Diego who was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly.

One of the best tour. Highly recommend for those who travel for first time in Quito as I was. Our guide Diego was super,felt safe the whole time gave us alot of tips, we learn alot ab their history. Great museum full of history. Me and my sister we pay paid for a semiprivate tour and we had a private one.

This tour is an excellent way to see the city. Diego was our tour guide. He did a great job showing us the city. The views from the Teleférico are breathe taking. Loved walking around old town and visiting the middle of the world. Don't miss the chocolate tasting at the end of the tour! I recommend taking this tour.

Sharing time and local experiences as well as the culture of Quito with our local guide made the experience even more special. The traffic was not moving by the end of the day so we made a shared decision to park and walk a bit further than planned. No problem and better than being in the car!

Very good overview. Our guide was excellent. Some of what she brought to the tour (the restaurant choice for lunch, chocolate tasting) might vary from guide to guide. Mita del Mondo was better than expected.

Diego was our guide and he was very informative. Teleferico was our first stop but it was raining and the power was out so we went to Mitad del Mundo then. Very interesting to learn about the middle of the earth.
We went back to Teleferico after the sun came out, the ride up the gondola was exciting but the view above was breathtaking, must see in Quito.
The manager, Dante was very responsive in email, responded with my concern in 10minutes! Gracias Diego and Dante for making my Quito trip a memorable one.

This tour is so fun! Our guide was Ximena and she was amazing. She knew all the best spots to go to and where to take the best pictures. The middle of the earth was actually very interesting, I thought it was going to be very cheesy but there was some really good information given. And we had the chocolate tasting included in our tour and boy was it excellent!! My friend and I both bought way too much chocolate but it is so good. Thanks to Ximena and the tour company, this day in Quito was thoroughly enjoyed.
