Park is wonderful, but very busy. Although it is packed full of wildlife, I would not have seen nearly as many species without the trained eye of our guide! Harold tour was very informative and educational. It was a pleasure to be in his company.

Steven did an excellent job! We were able to see many animals during our tour. I really am thankful we paid the extra money for the tour guide instead of trying to do it ourselves!

Harold was an AMAZING guide! He was extremely insightful, Finding many hidden animals and providing a vast amount of knowledge at levels both adults and children could comprehend. He was extremely patient when siting animals and plants, making sure that everyone had a chance to see them up close prior to moving on along the trail. He had a jovial sense of humor and was very engaging and inclusive to the entire group. We would highly recommend this tour and Harrold as a guide. Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 young kids) enjoyed the tour so much so that we will be returning to the park an additional day to explore further.

Watch out for the bait and switch

Be very careful when you book with this company. They're Google results showed a tour of Manual Antonio National Park in Costa Rica for $39. I clicked book now and bought four tickets then at the end read that it did not include entrance to the park. I tried to then buy tickets to the park and they were sold out for that day. I immediately sent in a refund request and was denied. The excuse was that the booking agents cancellation policy was you had to cancel within 24hrs notice and of course I bought my ticket and less time than that. They offered me a tour the next day but we were no longer in that area of Costa Rica. I bought to their attention that they had very misleading advertisements because the ad said nothing up front about needing to buy your entry tickets to the park separately. Like who would think that when somebody advertises a tour ? Had it said that I would have looked for those tickets first before I booked the tour. So they got $120 of my money for services not rendered Lesson learned , if you want to use Viator expect misleading information and dig deep before you click the buy button.

Both our active Viator description and the automated confirmation email we sent you immediately after booking explicitly detail the mandatory steps, protocols, and requirements to join our tour. We choose to sell our tour guiding services without the park entrance included to offer flexibility, but we clearly state upfront that purchasing your own park tickets is an absolute requirement to participate. During February—our peak high season—these tickets sell out rapidly.Third, you made a last-minute booking well within our standard 24-hour cancellation window, which you accepted at checkout. Despite your late booking, we acted in good faith and immediately offered to reschedule your tour for the following day at no extra cost, which you declined because you were leaving the area.We did not receive $120 for services 'not rendered'; we kept a slot secured for you that could have been used by other travelers, and we incurred standard operational costs. We are incredibly proud of our more than 100 5-star reviews from guests who follow our clear instructions, and we will continue to operate with the highest standards of clarity and honesty.
