Thank. you Emma for showing us around the sanctuary. We saw so many animals and learned why they were there and why they needed care. We saw sloths close up which was great. It is a great organization!! We were so glad we added this to our trip. Thank you Emma for all you do and best of luck in your veterinary career!!

We loved every aspect of the tour: learning about the day to day care of the animals, hearing the story of how each animal arrived, and being shown the animals in their habitats.

We attended this and enjoyed the experience, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. They offered fresh fruit and drinks at the end of the tour. There was a lot to learn about and animals to see up close that were hard to locate in the wild on other tours

Marian, the onsite veterinarian, was an absolutely charming guide for our tour of the rescue facility – full of stories about each individual animal’s personality and history, alongside a wide perspective on the challenges of animal protection and rehabilitation. It was fun to have a close-up view of some of the animals and get a chance to learn more about them.

Jose was incredible! He took the time to answer all of my questions, give me detailed information about each of the inhabitants, and how they found themselves at the rescue, and generally make me feel so welcomed. If you have any interest in wildlife conservation, the Costa Rican ecosystems, or saving animals...this tour is for you!

This is a wonderful facility and Jose gave a great tour. This is not a zoo. It’s a facility that rehabilitates injured animals and will hopefully be able to release them back to the wild. Some, those which we see, will never be able to live in the wild again due to the nature of their injuries. They are lovingly cared for, fed and receive the medical attention they require. You get very close to many animals, but they are in cages and you cannot touch them. Their well being is of primary importance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It’s a special place.

Thank you for your kind words about our facility and our passionate employees. We work
hard to upkeep our facility and give our animals the best life possible. Thank you again for
supporting our project.
