Quebec walking tour

Our guide was very knowledgeable but dragged this tour out for way too long. There were 37 people on the tour which was ridiculous, plus it was scheduled on the day of the Grand Prix bike race, so streets were blocked off and at times it was difficult to keep up. Also there was a helicopter hovering overhead covering the race, so that made it difficult to hear. He did not have any type of microphone. We finally left the tour after 3.5 hours, and he did not even seem to care that people were being left behind while trying to follow him. As I said he was very knowledgeable, but it was just too much information for too long at each stop.

I didn't really enjoy this tour. It didn't seem to have a coherent theme; just a wander from place to place without context. I've gone on many walking tours in other cities. This one was not a fave. However, our guide was personable and friendly.

Don't call it a free tour at the beginning when there is a charge involved. We got lost from the tour guide early on and was separated. He left the park going up the stairs even though he mentioned there was an option without the stairs. We never rejoined the group. It doesn't make sense to make people climb stairs if there is an option without stairs.

Juan gave us the tour in Spanish, it was very friendly, we made stops in cafeterias to warm up a little, because it was very cold. But overall everything was perfect!
