10/10 Private Snorkel Experience – Safe, Seamless & So Much Fun!

This was hands down one of the BEST experiences of our trip! It was our first time in the Dominican Republic, and I was honestly a little nervous about leaving the resort — but Hispaniola Aquatic Adventures made us feel safe and taken care of from start to finish. We booked their private boat for up to 10 people (not one of the group tours), and everything was seamless. They arranged private pickup from our resort, had clean restrooms when we arrived in Bávaro, a boat taxi ready to take us out, and a private van waiting to bring us back at the end of the day. So organized and stress-free. The crew was incredible — the captain, first mate, and bartender were all equally amazing. On the way to our snorkel spot, they went out of their way to look for sea turtles and rays so we could see them up close (and we saw a TON!). They kept the cold drinks flowing (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and provided snacks while we cruised. During snorkeling, the first mate actually got in the water with us, showed us where to go, and fed the fish so they stayed close — which made the experience even better. They even had a slide off the back of the boat that was a huge hit! After snorkeling, we headed to a bay where their private seafood cooks prepared a fresh lunch for us — and it was absolutely delicious. On the ride back, we got to play our own music and basically turned the boat into our own private party. Bonus: the first mate brought a GoPro and took photos of us both on the boat and in the water — and we were never pressured for extra money for photos or anything else, which we really appreciated. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. We felt safe, cared for, and completely spoiled. We will 100% book with them again next time we’re in the DR!

We had a great time on the catamaran. Our tour guide’s name was Baby and he was amazing!!! The entire crew was amazing!! They were so friendly and accommodating it made our trip even more fun. We booked the private catamaran for mom’s birthday and we had the time of our lives. My mom had a little incident while getting off the boat and lost her shades. Everyone on the team was so quick to action to make sure my mom was ok, Baby even rode back with us to the resort because he was concerned. Gabriel called the next to check on my mom and make sure she was good and he also informed me that they found my mom’s shades and will have them delivered to the resort. I want to thank everyone so much for the great time and hospitality that you all showed us. Even through the chaos we had a great time.

Graduation trip/moms and daughters

We had a wonderful time on our excursion. We were on a graduation trip with moms and daughters. Edwardo and the others were very friendly and lots of fun. We weren’t able to get off on the island for the coconuts because of the seaweed but they brought the coconuts to us :-) This is the second time we’ve used this company and again had so much fun. We will definitely use them again when we return.
