Great experience. The crew were amazing and we saw some whales and dolphins! Everyone got one plate of snacks. The only confusing part is checking in. There were different events/tours happening at the same time. You kinda sit around until 3:30-4. Some staff tell people to wander until 4, so if they aren’t back when the boat arrives, then the rest of the group has to wait. The tour itself was from 4-8ish, and it drops off the first lot of people then the second. Some people were annoyed by this, but we were sitting outside the business waiting for instruction. Overall it was fun, good music and vibes.

The boat left an hour late and then lasted an hour longer than planned, so a 3-hour activity became 5 hours, To long.

First, I sincerely apologize for the delay and the extended duration of your tour. A 3-hour experience turning into 5 hours without clear expectation is understandably frustrating, especially if you had other plans.
Occasionally, departures can be delayed due to port authority traffic, safety checks, or coordination with marina logistics — particularly during high whale season. That said, we should always communicate timing clearly so guests can plan accordingly.
Sometimes the return can run longer if we are actively watching whales or waiting for safe docking clearance, but we understand that not every guest prefers an extended trip.
We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours helps us continue improving both our operations and communication.

This was a wonderful whale watching cruise and sunset. The alcohol was flowing and we got to see a lot of whales and dolphins. I would recommend this tour to anyone and we'll go back on it on my next return to Puerto Vallarta.

It was better than expected. The waiting was marginally tense but when we boarded, we found a very comfortable space and welcoming crew. We were immediately asked if we wish any type of beverage as we sat with anticipation.
Instructions were explained as well as expectations. This was important since the whale watching season was ending and the chance of seeing whales might be limited. We had many moments where we saw many whales. Food was brought to guests on the ship to avoid mishaps. Food was sufficient to satisfy. If food is your priority you may want to consider a cruise. Kudos to the crew for doing a marvelous job.

Saw maybe 40 whales! very good time and food and drinks were great as well as staff. only thing is they tell you to be there at like 3 and your there waiting til 430 for the rest of the people. staff was great!

The boat was large and comfy. The snacks were not so great and the drinks were watered down. Staff was nice and accommodating. They gave good explanations of the whale behavior.

Bring a windbreaker and maybe some light pants as it can be windy, lots of options for seating sun or shade, great service no shortage of drinks had to really search for whales went up by La Cruz but the best show was moma and baby on the way back to PV, got on the boat at 3:30 and back to paradise port about 8:30 , chips for snacks nice cruise night lights of PV after sunset march 5 2025 also pick up on time , great crew

When I booked the sunset and whale tour, the pictures for the boat showed this beautiful ship. I didn't know if we would actually be on that particular boat, and yes...We were. The boat was awesome and so were the crew! The snacks were great and drinks were flowing and they tried their best to find us whales!. We got to see the as we were heading back. Totally worth every penny:)

Chicago Locco Tours was not only professional but provided a very fun event. Check in at the office was easy then we waited to be walked through the port security where they check everyone. There is a fee that you would pay with other tour companies but it is included with this tour so keep that in mind. The boat had very comfortable seating, the staff were courteous, and always made sure we had any beverage we wanted. The chips and guacamole as well as the cevi he were delicious. And the whales, wow! We had so many breaching whales close by and we also learned a lot. They also played great music that had us up dancing. Sunset was also wonderful to experience out on the water. I highly recommend this company. It wasworth the cost completely!

Feb 2025: Our adult family of 6 had an awesome and epic time with Isaiah and his crew on Chica Loccas Sunset Whale Watching Tour! A great 3 hour tour that had us see some 25 humpback whales and the largest schools of dolphins too! The crew was so attentive to the 55 passengers with drinks and wonderful ceviche, guacamole, and chips. Served to you wherever you were on the ship so you wouldn’t miss a thing. And the trip ended with a gorgeous sunset! This tour is so worth it during whale season. Book it you will not regret it.

We went to the wrong pier and the staff helped us by shuttling us over to the correct pier. They were so kind and accommodating of us and our situation. We felt like we got a private tour. Once we arrive at the correct destination it was just as awesome! Great food, great service, unlimited drinks. We saw whales, dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. At the end of rhe. Ight we danced and had a blast going back to the dock. I could not recommend this tour more. Professional and fun staff. Don’t hesitate on this one. You will not regret it!
