A wonderful experience from start to finish! We were met on the beach by our boat captain, Alex, who spoke English and Spanish. Instructions were clear and he made sure everyone was safe. Our trip was perfect and he was the first boat in the area to find a large pod of spotted dolphins. We found numerous sea turtles, and a pair of humpback whales too! Alex was knowledgeable about the area, the sea, and marine life etc. He was respectful of the wildlife while viewing too. He had great sense of humor and made the trip interesting and fun for everyone. I highly recommend Omar's for your sea adventures in the area.

This was an absolutely amazing tour, more than surpassed my expectations. Our guide Alex, who I believe is one of the best guides there, took us past the crowds to an area where we saw hundreds of dolphins. He also knew when and where to go to have the best viewings of whales. And he made sure not to crowd the animal alongside other boats. We even say manta rays, which are not as common, so very successful morning outing to say the least!

Great experience! We saw 5 whales and a lot of dolphines and some turtles. We had an experienced guide who cared for everyone. He also went to quieter spots and kept a safe distance from the animals.

Everything about the guides to the transport to the tour itself was efficient, super amazing communication, pickuo from the door of my lodging ect. I even left my purse in a taxi and they made sure to return it! Everyone is so lovely and kind!!! I think my review is a bit more complicated. It is about the environmental/human impact of whale watching. We saw all the animals as listed in the tour. It was amazing. BUT!!!! There were 18-25 boats surrounding four whales all with approximately 8-12 people. Did I love seeing humback whales? Yes. But I also felt terrible, something felt very wrong. Maybe four/six boats at a time could go out to observe?? There were too many of us trailing them and literally encircling them and it made me very worried for the well being of the whales.

Everything was fantastic - from the communication to the organisation to the magic of the experience itself.
We were booked on for the 07.00 tour (highly recommend for the beautiful sunrise on the water) and the taxi, organised by the guides, arrived on time and got us there smoothly.
Alex was our captain for the day. He was kind, funny, very knowledgeable about the marine life and did everything in his powers to make sure that we saw as much as we could in the three hours. He was constantly in communication with friends/colleagues/other boats to discuss if and where there had been wildlife sightings up and down the coast. He managed to find us many turtles, many dolphins, manta ray, flying bonito and four humpback whales (including a calf and its mum!) Thank you, Alex!

Amazing day out whale, dolphin and turtle watching! We also saw yellowfin tuna, jumping manta reys and mating turtles! Our captain, Alex was super informative and great at putting us in good spots to watch the wildlife!

We had a great morning whale and dolphin watching. They were on time to pick us up at our hotel, there were only 8 other people and it was the perfect amount of time on the water. We saw tons of dolphins, whales, sting rays and even mating turtle. Great trip!

We did the 7am tour and saw so many animals! Turtles, manta rays, whales, and lots of dolphins. It was worth getting up early to be out on the water before it got too hot.
The tour was well organized with convenient pick up from our hotel and punctual tour departure. The boat was small, with only 8 passengers and 2 crew members.

My family with two kids 9 & 8 enjoyed this tour. You park at a small beach and board a 10 person boat. We cruised the harbor and watched the surfers. Then we headed out to sea to look for dolphins. We saw a large school of them! We were not able to swim with them because there was a lot of jellyfish. We also saw multiple humpback whales and turtles. It was a very good trip and the guide was light hearted.

The dolphin watching was great. We saw loads of dolphins and sea turtles, including a pair that were mating. Alex was a friendly guide and shared lots of information with us. He also tried his best to find a whale, but it just wasn’t to be.
My hotel was nearby so I walked, and it was really easy to find him because they set a clear meeting point and sent a photo so I knew who to look for. Overall, a really good experience.

Pick up was right on time and the overall experience was great. Another party was running behind so that delayed our departure from the port so keep that in mind. Although Mexican's have a loose idea of time, tours like this do keep to the time schedule. Johnny, our guide, was great. I appreciated how mindful he was about the disturbance to sea life and whenever there were too many boats crowding around the dolphin pods, we'd move on. Same thing when we went hunting for a whale sighting. It's early in the migration season so there aren't many but we were able to find one before heading back to shore. We waited for a while to see it come back up but as soon as other boats were rushing over, he didn't hesitate to take us back in.

Guide was really great and we saw dolphins which was amazing! But I was expecting to be able to swim. Part of this was my own fault for not asking but before I knew it after we finally found dolphins and watched for a while the guide said we were heading back! It seems from other reviews people did have the ability to swim and some did not. It should be noted that swimming with dolphins is listed as included in the experience on Viator. So I’d say if you’re considering clarify during booking so that you can advocate for yourself during the tour.

This experience was definitely worth the effort. We rearranged our itinerary and took the bus down from Oaxaca for this, and the experience did not disappoint. Our captain Johnny and his mate Greg made sure we located a giant pod of dolphins, and everyone got to swim with them. They provided masks and itas a truly magical experience we will never forget.

We saw lots of dolphins and sea turtles! Even got to see a family of humpback whales as a bonus.
Guide was great and knowledgeable. I appreciated his aim to be away from other boats - at our first spot of seeing dolphins, a number of other boats came up and our guide decided to go look for a different spot that was less crowded. It worked out great because we then found an area that seemed to have 100 dolphins playing, jumping, etc with no other tour boat in sight.

Absolutely incredible experience, we saw a Whale, loads of dolphins and turtles. We even got the opportunity to get out and swim with dolphins using a snorkel. Exceeded my expectations. Our guide was brilliant, knowledge and super friendly.

We had a great experience with Alex! He took his time and knew where to look. We saw sea turtles, manta rays, and a large school of dolphins. The highlight was seeing 7 whales, including 2 pairs of calf/mother whales!
Only downside was that we did not swim with the dolphins as advertised. We took a dip in the ocean, but it was probably not safe to join the dolphins, but we would have liked to know it wasn't an option in advance.

Really great experience. Alex had great knowledge and stayed longer than the 3 hours just to see more of the whale we were tracking. Saw dolphins, sea turtles and a coral snake aswell.

Loved the tour and was happy I chose to book it after reading the reviews and most of them being amazing. The only reason I give this 4 star out of 5 is due to the information about this activity stating you will get the chance to jump in and have a swim/snorkel which we weren’t giving. But otherwise we’re so happy to see a large amount of dolphins and even plenty of whales aswell as turtles and a few other things. Tour guide advised he was not the normal one that usually runs this tour however he was still great and super informative.

Be patient, Fernando knows what he’s doing. It felt like we were headed nowhere especially leaving the group of other tour boats. But man was he right, we found what seemed like a hundred dolphins. Along with other sea mammals. But the cherry on top was the humpback whales. We were the first to arrive and had the best and closest view over every other tour.

An unforgettable experience! 🌊🐬 I absolutely LOVED this tour! The small group made it feel so special, and Israel and the co-captain (whose name I sadly don’t know) were absolutely amazing!
The ride was a bit bumpy at times (haha! 😄), but I honestly didn’t mind, and everyone else seemed fine with it too. It was 100% worth it for everything we got to see and do. There were so many dolphins—everywhere! 🐬🐬🐬 And the whales… WOW! 🐋 I’d never seen a whale before, and I was in total awe. Huge thanks to Israel for his patience in taking us to several spots to find them—it was incredible!
The absolute highlight of the day was helping rescue two sea turtles 🐢🐢 that were tangled in a fishing net. Who knows how long they’d been stuck? The co-captain didn’t hesitate for a second before jumping in to save them, and when they invited us to help, I and another woman jumped in too! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll remember forever.
Thank you SO MUCH to the amazing crew for your kindness, patience, and for giving us such an unforgettable adventure! 💙 This was truly a magical day that I’ll cherish forever!
