Great way to learn gentle waves with a local surfer who is patient. Oni trained us on the basics at the shop then we learned how to ride with his wave reading skills.

Amazing experience. It was my first time ever surfing and Kotani was a fantastic teacher. Really fun guy to hang out with, and he knew exactly how to give me the pointers I needed. Such a great experience I booked again
Ari was super helpful to communicate with, and he went totally above and beyond to help me out separately from the surf classes.

Good surfschool. Would book again. Cool guys! Got almost private lesson. Something to take into account is when you are a complete beginner is that it can be quite crowded in the water (Playa Carrizalillo) with other surfers / instructors.

I am a total beginner and managed to catch some waves with the help of great instructors. We were planning to surf on Carizalillo but there were no waves that day, so we drove to la Punta instead. The instructors will make sure you have a great experience!

Silva Surf School was fantastic! We walked from our house to meet them in La Punta but they made a game time decision and drove us across town for better beginner surf conditions. They worked with all skill levels and ages - 8 to 70. If you're looking for a surf lesson in PE I'm sure you cant do better.

Amazing experience! This was my first time surfing and all the instructors were super helpful, enthusiastic and didna great job of making sure everyone had opportunities to catch some waves! I also wasn't feeling well on the day of my experience and was able to work with them to come the next day. This is a fantastic company led by a group of Zicatela experts! I will definitely take more lessons from them when I come back to Puerto Escondido!

Really great experience even for newbies. We had so much fun and felt safe and well-guided throughout our lesson. The instructors were friendly and accommodating. We loved seeing all the people out there of all levels and felt like this was a must- do activity. Also it was pretty cool to be during next to pelicans catching their lunch!

Had an amazing time yesterday on the water. I skate and always wanted to learn how to surf. Instructor Oni picked us up in La punta and took us to a spot where the waves were better and no other surfers our tourists. After learning pop up techniques and few times wiping out I finally caught a few waves! He was a great instructor and this is an awesome experience for sure! I recommend bringing a bottle of water.

Honestly the highlight of our trip! They were kind enough to pick us up and take us to a calmer beach since we were beginners. Very informative and helpful in the water. I always felt safe and encouraged.

Silva Surf School was amazing. My friend and I had each surfed twice before and needed to work on basic technique. We were able to dramatically improve in just three days. The instructors at Silva were attentive and experienced. It was a "group" lesson but we had one-on-one instruction every time we caught a wave. Highly recommend.

Being able to spend sometime learning to surf (would have preferred a little longer) and getting out in the water was amazing. The waves were perfect for an novice like me and my wife. Definitely recommend drinking lots of water (not ocean water) before going and being in somewhat decent physical shape. Ari and his crew were great, but would have loved to have received some action photos. Would definitely do this again but would change the water and picture dilemmas.

Our instructor was great! My partner and I have never surfed and we were both able to get up on the board multiple times! Appreciated the positivity and encouragement. Be sure to bring water for afterwards. Our instructor was kind enough to let us store our belongings in his vehicle as well.

De ændrede vores tid fra kl 10 AM til 7 AM, pga. over booking. Der var alt for mange mennesker ude på samme tid, det var virkelig svært at komme op og stå uden at surfe ind i andre eller vælte for at undgå at ramme nogen. Men de var meget professionelle og gode til at guide os.
