Fantastic tour with a great tour guide and awesome views for the boat ride! There was lightning and thunder on one side of the sky and then beautiful views of the stars on the other side, which created such a magical experience. The bioluminescent plankton was super awesome. For us, they weren't as intense as usual apparently (not quite the blue that can occur), but it was still really cool to see the shimmering/glittering light that occurred when moving your hand through the water. Highly recommend! Such a unique experience! :D

I went with my partner. After a confusion regarding our location, they picked us up. They offered us refreshments for the 1 hour ride to Chacagua National Park where the lagoon is. When we got there we used the toilets for a 10 peso fee. We got on the boat and it was pitch black. They took us into the lagoon. After a 15 minute ride, they told us we were there and we could already see the bioluminiscence. I put my hand in and moved it around and saw it. It was beautiful! It looked like I was in a Disney animated movie! The others hopped in the water but I decided to stay in the boat and played around on the water with my hands. It was magical! I recommend to go on a night where there is little to no moon so you can see it better. After the lagoon took us back home. I would recommend this tour.

Photo posted of bioluminescence is massively photoshopped. Actual glow was cool, but MUCH more faint and nothing like the photo. Additionally, tour was almost 5 hours, nearly 4 of which were getting to and from the lagoon (from zicatela) - it would have been nice to know that up front 🤨

We could hardly see any planktons. We had to go in a tent to see them and swam for about 5 minutes. Not worth it
