Fabio was helpful, knowledgeable, and comfortable to be around throughout the day. The van is also comfortable and air conditioned. We both get carsick and had no issues even going up and down the mountain. There were two of us, so we did one premium tasting and one regular tasting at each Quinta, which was a fun way to try more of the wines. Driving up to Monchique was very beautiful, and you get to see the cork forest on the way up. We went to O Luar da Foia, where we both tried black pork. This is a LARGE amount of food, so go hungry, because it is delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful experience. Fabio is very patient and personable, and answered all of our questions. The wine and food were delicious. Fabio’s recommendations were great. Don’t skip this!

This is an intimate wine tasting and learning experience that Fabio has curated. We learned so much about the history of Algarve wine production through modern day, and simply relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and welcoming spirit of the residents in this region. Bonus black pork consumption included.

It was a very fun and informative excursion. Fabio covered the wine making process from the vine to the bottle. The wine samples were great and he did a great job describing the variations of different wines we sampled. Sunset view from top of the mountain was beautiful and dinner was absolutely fantastic.

Just an awesome time with Fabio- so knowledgeable & the wineries were distinct from the Douro. We liked it so much that we are having a case of wine shipped to the States. And the dinner in the mountains was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.

If you don’t do any other trip while you’re in the Algarves, make sure you do this!! Fabio is absolutely the best. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about wine, food and the Algarves. He picked us up, right on time in an air conditioned van, and took us to two excellent vineyards. We did the premium wine upgrade, which was absolutely worth it. Trust me. Do it. We also did the dinner option and Fabio treated us to a spectacular dinner at a beautiful mountain top restaurant with exceptional food, and all the wine and beer you want. You get so much for your money on this tour. Trust and believe all of the excellent reviews. I highly, highly recommend. I do a wine tour every time I go on vacation in a wine producing region of the world, and I can honestly say that this one was the best I’ve ever taken.

Fabio did an amazing job - from the vineyards and the viticulture, to the wineries production and tastings! He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the information in an easy to understand way. The wines were delicious. We capped off the day with an incredible meal. The portions were huge and very tasty. Take Fabio’s recommendations, he won’t steer you wrong!!

This tour was AMAZING from beginning to end thanks to Fabio! Me and my partner were looking forward to it but it was even better than we expected.
Fabio took us to two vineyards and explained us everything about types of grapes, growing them, picking, preservation, etc.
On each vineyard, after the explanations, we got given 3 wine samples (generous servings, specially on the first vineyard) and we tasted them whilst Fabio was explaining us a bit about each one. Then Fabio gave us a bit of time on our own to finish enjoying our tasting. And finally, after finishing the tasting, we had the chance to go to each vineyard's store (just next to where we were sitting to taste the wines) and buy whatever we wanted (Fabio did not put any pressure on us to buy anything, but we could not leave without taking with us some bottles).
As we chose the option with high quality dinner, Fabio took us to an unbelievable restaurant on the peak of a mountain (and we made a stop on the way to look at the wonderful landscape from a viewpoint) which had the most delicious food that we have had in Portugal (see pics attached)! Super authentic restaurant, really attentive stuff, and we got recommendations from Fabio on what to choose, just in case we could not make our minds up! Oh and lovely house wine included!
This tour is most probably the most worth it one that you can do in Portugal, do not let the price hold you back! It is a whole day out with a great meal included, wines and the wonderful company and knowledge of Fabio.
Whenever me and my partner come back to Portugal we will definitely book this tour again.

Fabio was terrific and took his time to explain the wines and wine industry of the Algarve. We went to two wineries and had six tastings. Unfortunately all the wines were too dry for me, which is characteristic of the area. He took us to the top of a mountain for a delicious lunch with wine, which was too much for one person. The scenery was magnificent and Fabio made it come alive for us.

Fabio was an amazing guide. He picked everyone up (3 couples) right on time, drove us to two wineries where he gave very detailed tours and lessons on wine. Afterwards he drove us to the top of a mountain for amazing views then to the restaurant for dinner. The dinner was great with huge portions. The wines were delicious. A great way to spend the day, we really enjoyed it and I highly recommend!

Our guide, Fabio, was very knowledgeable and really gave an in-depth guide to growing vines & into the many details & complexities of wine flavors. We sampled some lovely wines, ate lunch at a local favorite restaurant, with spectacular views, then finished the day with a 360 degree view from the top of the mountain in Monchique! We enjoyed a fun day with Fabio who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the whole winemaking process. We tried some lovely wines at two beautiful vineyards and then drove through the cork tree region for stunning views across the region - where we had a lovely lunch. Highly recommend!

Our guide Fabio was super. Very knowledgeable about the region and the wines. We were never rushed at all. He has a great passion for wine. From start to finish, Fabio provided a comfortable and informed trip with beautiful venues, delicious wines and views/food to die for. The local knowledge and personal connection made the difference and the trip moved at a healthy pace. Both wine venues were superb; offering experiences of the vineyard, picturesque reception/shop areas and ‘back office’ operations.
The restaurant was outstanding, with lovely menu recommendations and a view that our cameras simply couldn’t do justice to!
Fabio was well informed, friendly and the consummate host throughout, giving us a comfortable drive through the region/mountains and answering all our questions.
Would highly recommend for both those who are wine aficionados and those for whom a wine tour might be a first/chance holiday excursion alike.

We had a terrific day, guided by Fabio, visiting two vineyards and learning about the wine of the Algarve. Fabio was enthusiastic, personable and very knowledgeable about the local wines. We had wine tastings in both establishments, followed by a delicious lunch in Monchique and a visit to the summit to admire the fabulous views from there. This tour is suitable for those who wish to learn about the local wines, but also for anyone who wishes to know the basics - the steps of the wine making process are all clearly shown from planting to bottling, Very informative ! We highly recommend it to others.

An excellent experience. Fabio was an outstanding guide who gave really personal service and made the day extremely enjoyable. The visits to the Vineyard included a personal tour that hardly anyone else gets to see and he explained a lot about the process and the vineyards we visited. The Restaurant was simply stunning and the food was wonderful. Again, Fabio made sure that we chose the best food options and we were very well looked after by the restaurant staff. This tour isn't cheap but is definitely worth the money - you are really made to feel special. Top marks - most definitely!

We had such a fantastic day with Fabbio doing this tour on our recent holiday to the algarve - couldn't recommend it highly enough! Fabbio was very personable and knowledgable having previously worked in a vineyard - it felt like we were getting an exclusive behind the scenes look! The vineyards are very idillic and have lovely shops where you can buy the wine and local foods so I would recommend leaving some space spare in your suitcase! You are not pressured in any way to buy the wine that you try as you sometimes are on these kind of tours. The restaurant for lunch was fantastic too, tucked away at the top of the mountain and full of locals which is always a good sign it is not somewhere we would have found on our own - great food we would recommend the pork cheek or chicken with cherries! and the views were incredible!
