Great way to see the gorgeous Algarve coast line and get some exercise as well! Very informative and super nice guides, both on the boat and on the ground. There are three parts on the tour: the fun boat ride, seeing Ferrugudo, an old fisherman village, and then the walk along cliffs. So well organized and thought out tour. We loved it!

Complete land and sea introduction to the Portomao—Carvoeio coast. First a 2 hr, moderately paced hike, followed by lunch in Ferragudo’s old town square, then a great zodiac ride with an expert captain along the famous cliffs and grottoes of the middle Argalve. A full and varied day we thoroughly enjoyed with Carlos and Peter.

Was an excellent tour. Hank did a great job giving tidbits of information about the area. The hike was beautiful, not too hard but a bit hilly. The boat ride was fun and a great contrast to what we saw in the morning. Beautiful way to see the area. Our only complaint would be that the majority of the group was German, which Hank spoke, so most conversation and information was communicated this way. Hank sort of tried to translate for us but we felt like we missed large pieces of information, I did ask questions where I could. Not a big deal and I get the rest of the group spoke a different language. I did go back and confirmed I selected the English tour. They had to move my reservation as there were not enough participants on our selected day and I ponder if I got put in with a different group? It was still a good day and we enjoyed the sights.

Pretty level hiking for the most part and a slow pace, with just a few steep sections... no need to be in great shape to be fine on the walk. Our group had about 13 with 2 guides, and several were older... no one had any issues at all. Great guides, great views. And, the boat trip to see the caves from sea level was awesome! The RIB they used was comfortable and small enough to get in to all the caves.

Great day with Portitours! Full day - hiking the cliffs in the morning and then boat ride into the caves and grottoes in the afternoon - incredible! The tour guides and boat drivers are all extremely good and very competent! Nelson, you’re a gem! George, you’re a great tour guide! Marcella, your boat driving skills are incredible!
Note - the boat ride is very very very rough and choppy - if you have even slight issues with back pain or muscle pain, this boat ride is not for you! Be prepared to get very wet as spray kicks up when you hit the massive swells. (We took the tour on Nov 6, 2024, so weather was unsettled)
Try to take the boat ride in the morning when the ocean is much calmer (but it’s always a roll of the dice for weather) and hike in the afternoon

This was my favourite excursion I went on while in the Algarve. The hike was fantastic and our guide Michael was incredible. He made sure to go at a pace that was comfortable for the group and provided excellent comments on all the sights. To see the caves from the water was breathtaking, I’m so glad I did this tour. Kudos to Michael, George, and Lorenzo for a memorable day!

Highly recommend this tour! Ricardo was a fantastic guide - funny, knowledgeable and able to cater to everyone. Definitely gleaned more from him than if we had chosen to do the hike ourselves. The speedboat experience in the Benagil caves was phenomenal as well. The caves are GORGEOUS and the speedboat was fantastic. Did not feel seasick and it was actually an enjoyable experience. Definitely not to miss when in the Algarve!

The first part of this experience was really enjoyable, I was the only English person in the group but it didn’t matter. Carlos was so attentive in making me feel included and part of the team. He translated everything during the walk aswell as all the banter being had. We then were split in to two groups for our tour of Ferragudo. I was asked to go with his partner which unfortunately made the rest of the trip really unenjoyable. There was real language barrier issues and because of this his attitude really was not pleasant. Not only that, we were told while waiting to be taken to Farragudo we were to wait for 5 more people to join us. The atmosphere shifted when they joined us as so much attention was on them for the rest of the day.
The boat trip afterwards was at high speed which is fine if you’re wanting the fun of water sports but not when using it as a means to tour the island.
I felt really uncomfortable the second part of the day but grateful for the morning experience. It’s tiring in the heat but so worth the views.

This was undoubtedly the most incredible time we had in Portugal! We decided we wanted go on a day trip to explore the caves by boat and indulge in some hiking (which we love to do). This trip exceeded all our expectations! Let me begin by praising our outstanding tour guide, Nelson. Right from the start till the end, he was simply amazing. Not only did he handle the driving flawlessly, but he also enriched our journey with fascinating and meaningful information throughout. It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring each one of us had a fantastic time from that to finish.

My husband and I loved this tour. I did both the hike and the boat ride (weather was not favorable for this part but still beautiful). It is only half of the entire hike but what we saw, was beautiful. Peter (and his multilingual skills) was knowledgeable and professional. I am so glad we did this hike!

Very nice tour, first walking along beautiful cliffs and then a boat trip to admire the coast from the other side. Our guide Henk was very helpful and introduced us to the local fauna and flora. Our pick up was a bit late but this was because there had been a misunderstanding with the previous pick up. Henk really apologized several times but such things can happen so certainly no problem for us. It was a really great day.

Very nice tour with 2 very good, nice and cool people who have a lot of knowledge. In addition, I noticed that they also did it for their own fun.
