We met Pietrina, our guide, serendipitously a few days before our tour. She chose to to our tour, and we were so happy that she did. She is enthusiastic about Perugia and very knowledgeable. Each of our stops were delicious and we went back to most of them (time only permitted so much). Excellent way to see the beautiful city of Perugia.

Incredible experience! I had the pleasure of taking this tour with our guide, Pietrina who was so warm and welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us a true look into the history of Perugia and provided thoughtful explanations of each food we sampled. The tour itself was super informative and delicious.
Halfway through the tour, my mother unexpectedly needed emergency dental care and the owner personally took her to the dentist to make sure she received help. I am eternally grateful for their kindness and generosity during such a stressful moment.
This was not only an excellent food tour but also a reminder of genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to return to Perugia and take this tour again. Highly recommend!

The food tour was the high point of our visit to Umbria. For four hours we ate our way through the city learning about the region’s food and its history. Richard and Pietrina were our tour guides and they were magnificent. Very well informed, and clearly engaged in the food and culture and civic life of Perugia. We highly highly recommend the tour.

Richard led us on an enjoyable three hour stroll through the back streets of this pretty and very hilly Umbrian city. We learned its history as well as the food traditions and tasted some delicious food. Some of the hill views were incredible! Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous time!! Richard & Susan were very helpful and patient as we traveled with my elderly parents that had difficulty walking. Susan helped with the details, and Richard toured us around the beautiful historic area of Perugia. He even met us at the parking garage, kept to a path that was easy for mom & dad, and got us on the bus to make sure they didn't struggle too much after the tour. The cheeses & stone crafts are exquisite, and in hind site, I wish I had purchased a few pieces (much cheaper there than in the quaint shops around Italy). Highly recommend!

Myself, my sister and my dad took the tour to explore Perugia. Sue and her husband were so thoughtful, considerate and knowledgeable about Perugia. They have such a strong passion for the town and for food, so the tour was not only enlightening, but really fun. She made us all feel very welcome and by the end it was like walking with old friends. Couldn’t rate it highly enough. Thanks again.

Our guide, Richard, was outstanding. He clearly communicated the place and time for pick up, so we did not have any delays in starting our tour. He was friendly, very nice, and knowledgeable about Umbria food and beverage. We were pleasantly surprised that Richard also showed us several interesting historical landmarks and provided us with Perugia map for further exploration of the area. We stopped in several cafes and restaurants, trying different dishes (delicious!), beer, and wine. We truly covered “a lot of territory” for 3 hours. We highly recommend this tour for anyone, visiting Perugia.

Phenomenal tour of a remarkable city. At first I was skeptical of an American guide but Richard was knowledgeable, funny, and has built great relationships with each establishment. The food was out of this world good- and history was woven throughout each stop and each transition. One of our family members has mobility issues and Perugia can be tough to navigate. Richard helped make some adjustments that ensured we could all access the tour according to our needs. When we come back to Perugia for a longer stay, we will be sure to book with them again.

Susan was an amazing and very knowledgeable tour leader who was passionate about her city and the terrific local foods available. The small group size made the tour personable and all questions were answered and the other couples friendly and fun. The variety and amount of food served at different locations around the city was generous and as we walked around Perugia, Susan also enlightened us with historical facts and stories about the city.

What a fabulous tour, my husband and I have done food tours in many cities, this has been one of our favourites. This was so much more than a food tour, we also learnt so much about the beautiful Perugia. Richard was so passionate about all the places he took us to and it was lovely to bump into his wife and hear all about his entrepreneurial friends and family, we even visited Dempsey’s his son’s bar later that evening. Would highly recommend this very interesting and tasty tour!
