I wouldn’t recommend this tour. It lacked historical context, and meaningful information, and the food progression felt disjointed and poorly planned. We previously did the Taste Perugia tour with Via del Vino and at first thought, thought this one was the same company. Unfortunately , I chose this one instead this time. I’d strongly suggest booking the other Perugia food tour if you’re looking for an authentic and enriching local experience, This one fell short in many ways.

This is a gentle low key walk around town visiting some hidden gems to try real local foods and specialities. The food was delicious. The guide Francesca was knowledgeable and delighted in discussing wide ranging aspects of the food, the city, the region. Family life. Italian culture. An informative and enthusiastic person who is well travelled herself.

Best way to enjoy the city

Went with my extended family including my 82 yo grandmother and had the best time. The food was AMAZING and we were able to get a great tour of Perugia as well. Highly recommend this tour if you’re staying in the area. The company is also very kind and helpful. We had a few last minute changes and they were very responsive and flexible.

The food tour was exceptional. The food was amazing. Our tour guide Giorgia went above and beyond. She was knowledgeable about Perugia and passionate about the food and culture. Since there was so much food in 2 1/2 hours I would suggest either trying less food in the allotted time for a lesser fee or extending the the tour time so you’re not eating every 15 min. We did our best to eat it all and took some home. All in all it was excellent.

Excellent experience! Our guide Georgiana was personable, knowledgeable and fun. All the food was delicious. A great time for the whole family from 13 to 75! We went to places we never would have found on our own and she sprinkled in some history of the city as well.
