Their guest service level is top notch. We had a rough journey on our way to the island, and the staff was so caring of their passengers.

It was easy to book and they offered ferry tickets when everyone else was sold out. Easy to download tickets with clear instructions. The return time on the ticket wasn’t included so we had to ask about that, but it was fine.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Great to hear, thanks so much Katelyn, we hope you had a great day on Rotto!

Great way to book a ferry ticket with more flexible cancellation than directly through Sealink’s site which is why I booked through Viator in case my plans changed. Very easy to exchange voucher for tickets at check-in and very smooth experience, highly recommend!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Brilliant to hear, thank you so much Chelsey!

We hired bikes on the island, wasn't ready for a very hilly ride. But, with the scenery it was worth it!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Wonderful to hear, hope you had a great day on the bikes and didn't get too puffed! The scenery on the island is definitely worth riding to see.

Highly recommend! The process from buying tickets to the trip itself was seamless and easy. I wasn't able to find my tickets on my email, so I simply went to the front desk and they were able to print off for me.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Brilliant to hear, thanks so much Elisabeth 💙

Ticket included complimentary pick up this was not honoured. Nobody contacted me to arrange pick up from hotel. When I notified them they said it was too late. We made our own way there and back. When the tour finished it was a long hot day and we had to walk back to hotel which was utterly exhausting a good half hour walk!!
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thanks for your feedback Helen. We are so sorry that your Perth Hotel Pickup was not prebooked for you. We sincerely apologise for this. The pickup is only one way, in the morning, but it sounds like a hot day and long walk for you at the end of the day, which does sound very tiring. Regardless, we do hope that you enjoyed your time on Rottnest Island.

Purchasing the tickets through Viator is just the first step in the process. We arrived at the pier with plenty of time to spare , which was good because we had to present our Viator ticket to the company window to get a paper ticket before we could board the vessel. No biggie, but it would have been nice to know before hand.

Thanks for your observation. We always email tickets to customers when they book through a partner operator. Nevertheless, we hope you enjoyed your time at Rottnest Island.

The service was wonderful. The Island is beautiful. Many things to do!
The food was good but expensive.
The weather is always windy.

Went to Rottnest island for a day trip with family. The announcer was very good, gave us a heads up when it was choppy on the way over and got us in quickly on the way back without any swell.

Ferry by Sealink to Rottnest island. Ferry service polite and safe. I did find all the different ferry options/times/locations to be very confusing. I think departure and arrival and transit times listed for each would be helpful.

The quokkas were adorable! I loved all the beaches around the island, it was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking… great energy and vibes around the island. Ferry staff were friendly ☺️

A lovely journey onboard the ferry from Perth to Rottnest Island. The ferry was prompt and the crew told us about different points that we were passing during the trip which was informative and interesting. The crew on board were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and even gave out free ice pops half way through the trip which was a nice touch.
Rottnest Island is a gorgeous island and is definitely worth a visit. The bike hire was straightforward and food and drink on the island is available and delicious.

The trip over took forever as we had to stop in Fremantle as well, which wasn’t advised at booking. Departed at 8.30am but didn’t get to the island until 11am, which was very disappointing and a long start to the morning. Especially when told by the ticket guy that it would be a quick 1hr 30mins.
Also one of the more expensive options in comparison to the other 2 ferry companies and an older boat as well. Definitely book ferry tickets in advance as you can’t just turn up and get a ticket. I’d have a shop around at the others first and plan in advance for next time.

Rottnest Island was on the list of things to do when my mum and I recently went to Perth for a week-long holiday. We went there for a day trip and I booked two roundtrip ferry tickets which departed from Perth and took us to Rottnest Island via Fremantle. The journey down the Swan River included guided commentary up to Fremantle, after which we travelled over the sea towards Rottnest Island. We then explored the island for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. We explored the island on foot and enjoyed two free walking tours run by experienced guides. I especially enjoyed our walk to Pinky Beach where we had a swim in the crystal blue waters. Around lunchtime we spotted quokkas running around trying to get a feed from tourists in the main food and shopping precinct. I didn't mind as I was able to take many pictures of these cute critters. We then enjoyed a bit of shopping before we took our afternoon ferry back to the mainland, which was a choppy ride but fun nonetheless. I'd highly recommend the Perth to Rottnest Island round trip ferry tickets for travellers who want to enjoy a day trip to Rottnest Island while being flexible about how they get around the island.

The ferry was an excellent way to travel to Wadjemup (Rottnest Island). It was a little hard to hear the commentary along the way, but other than that, it was great. The island itself was a 10/10 experience.

Seeing the Quokkas, also seeing a small pod of dolphins playing near the jetty. The tour, the beautiful blue water and the magnificent look outs on the island.

Lovely island, fantastic beaches. The boat ride there and back were punctual and fast, great boats! Very friendly staff.

The history and commentary of Fremantle and area was very interesting. I would highly recommend this trip

Rottnest Island is worth a visit when you’re in Perth but make sure the weather is beautiful. It was cold and rainy when I visited so the journey was a bit too long for me personally. Keep in mind that while coach transfers to the jetty are offered with the ferry tickets, they’re only available one-way. You’ll have to find you own way at the end of the day when you get back to your hotel.

Staff on the ferry were courteous, friendly and knowledgeable
Rottnest was a great experience
We did lots of walking and of course saw lots of quokkas
Lots of food options were available too and the meal we had was delicious
We had a great day
