Our roadside pickups start up to 45min before the tour start time. We will notify you of the pickup time for your pickup location by message, text and whatsapp the evening before the tour. After the tour, we will drop you back as close as possible to your accommodation, providing you are within in the Perth city area. Please discuss this with your guide or our office prior to your tour.
Itinerary
Your tour begins with pickup from your Perth accommodation (select hotels only). Board your vehicle and settle in for the journey.
Your first destination is the Lancelin Sand Dunes, where you can experience the thrill of sandboarding down the towering white sand dunes.
Next, make a short stop at the Nilgen Lookout in a beautiful nature reserve, where you can see wildflowers (in season). Alternatively, stop at the secluded beach at Hangover Bay to learn about its indigenous heritage.
Finally, arrive at the Pinnacles in time for sunset. Enjoy a barbeque dinner with wine followed by stargazing, with telescopes and astro-binoculars, and hear Dreamtime stories of the night sky long told by Australia's first people.
Your tour ends with a drop-off where you were picked up.

This was a really great excursion. We had a lot of fun surfing the sand dunes! Our driver/guide Neil was very friendly and really knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the areas we drove through and about the stars. The Pinnacles are quite a spectacular sight. Iâve never seen anything like it. We had some clouds that night so Neil went above and beyond and made an extra stop on the way home when the clouds cleared so we could take another look at the stars. I highly recommend this experience.

A great way to see WA. Covered a lot in 1 day, sand boarding, coast, pinnacles, sunset and stars. Tour guides were really friendly and knowledgeable.

The tour was amazing! Such a fun and cool experience. Sand boarding was great, the sand is so white. The pinnacles were unreal felt like you were in a different world. Learnt so much on the tour about the different planets and stars. They thoroughly explained what we were looking at and taught us how to take amazing photos. A decent bbq too!

The most amazing experience. The pinnacles are wonderful to see but the stargazing was mind blowing. I have never seen so many stars in my life. Tour guides Leighton and Adrian were knowledgeable about the constellations we were viewing and provided handy tips on how to take the perfect photos of the stars.

This was a great choice to see some of the coast N of Perth during a too-short visit. Our driver, Gavin, was superb in his knowledge of the area and his dedication to providing the best experience possible. I was especially happy, because we saw the coastal countryside, went sand boarding, stopped at a seaside pub (to slake our thirsts), got a chance to take an Indian Ocean dip, see the Pinnacles just before sunset, and enjoy a tasty group meal. All in all, a pretty comprehensive schedule covered in about 9+ hours.

Beautiful experience - the Pinnacles were stunning and we were there at the perfect time of day and the night was perfect for stargazing. Our driver and guide Sam provided interesting info, cooked a delicious BBQ dinner and made the experience fun. Our star guide Louise showed us great views through the telescope of star clusters, nebula, Jupiter and the Milky Way. I highly recommend this tour.

Tour guide Neil has great experience and very well organized.
We enjoyed sand dune boarding, we saw million of stars. It was nice to have BBQ dinner under the stars at Pinnacles. It was an amazing experience.

Amazing experience! Sam and Neil do a fab job at running this experience and ensure everyone has a great time. What makes it stand out from other such tours is the telescope experience along with some basic explanation scientific explanations for folks to understand. The bbq dinner too was also very good and you canât ask for more in the middle of a desert.

Itâs a long day that includes a variety of activities. Some of requires physical agility (sand boarding). But it is interesting and Adrian was a terrific guide. He did it all, driving, sandboarding, cooking, and astronomy. Pretty amazing!

It's a long trip from Perth to the Pinnacles but completely worthwhile. The sand boarding was great fun and Pinnacles impressive. We had time to look around before sunset and this was spectacular. The evening picnic and stargazing were also excellent.

Amazing trip, the mini bus is quite comfortable. The food is nice and fresh, each location stoped for a decent enough time to have fun, took a cozy nap when heading back with blanket. Perfect for a day trip

This was a wonderful experience for me. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw Saturns rings and Jupiter through a telescope! It felt very emotional and uplifting. Pinnacle Desert was amazingly beautiful. And the sandboarding is a fun activity.

Stars donât always show. But we still had a beautiful sunset. Interesting places and a bit of fun with the sand boarding so there was something for the whole family to enjoy.

I enjoyed that whole day and the activities! It is nice that it starts quite late. After the dune surfing youre exhausted tho!
The Pinnacles were really cool and the whole Organisation was well done!
Food was amazing, the salads were very creative!!!!
Additionally the Stargazing was fun and I learned a lot. Maybe one recommendation: prior in an email recommend the apps that were recommended on the spot (i had to use mobile data, which costed me an additional 40AUD :) )
Also I would have loved a bit more information about the Aboriginals. I understand that they see it as the place as they see it with the one or another more "sacred" place and they probably dont want to share everything what must be respected!!!!
Despite of that the trip was lovely and i really love to look back at it!!!!

Great opportunity to explore a but of the Australia's outbacks near Perth. Guide was amazing and so was the food. There is plenty of time to explore around but also to meet new people and talk around.

Leighton took excellent care of us from pickup through drop off. He managed it all, from commentary to special diets to even the best bathrooms. Everything is taken care of for you so you can relax and enjoy.The passionate astronomer was interesting and informative and showed me Saturn's rings and Alpha Centauri through his telescope. The complementary lesson on astral photography with your phone was much needed and much appreciated.

Easy centralized, pick up spots, incredible scenery, and activities. The grand finale to the amazing pinnacle desert was the magnificent sunset and stargazing- with the experts â we learned so much and a reminder that we really are just a little spec grand grand universe. Excellent food and hospitality!!!

I'm from the east coast USA, due to the amount of light pollution I don't get to see a lot of stars in the sky too often. This was a must due for me just for the stars. That's said watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean was gorgeous as well. The sand dunes were really quite something as well and it was also nice to dip my toes in the Indian Ocean (My 4th Ocean) even if only briefly. The guides were great and there was plenty of food. Well worth the price.

The Lancelin dunes sandboading was fun and not at all scary. The Pinnacles are certainly unusual, but for some reason they were smaller than perhaps we were expecting, the sunset was great, but be warned it becomes very cold once the sun goes down so wrap up well, don't underestimate this.
The wind was strong and made it difficult to eat our bbq meal, which consisted of two types of sausage and assorted salad. The stars did become clearly visible just before we left, although not the Milky Way which we expected. If you want to be dropped off somewhere other than your original pick up point in Perth it's important to mention this in your initial booking. Many thanks to our guide/driver Leighton who single handedly put in an awful lot of work, but perhaps just not our ideal tour.
