Our roadside pickups start up to 45min before the tour start time. We will notify you of the pickup time for your pickup location by message, text and whatsapp the day before the tour. After the tour, we will drop you back to your accommodation, or as close as possible to your accommodation, providing you are within in the Perth city area. Please discuss this with your guide or our office prior to your tour.
Itinerary
Your tour begins with pickup from your Perth accommodation (select hotels only). Board your vehicle and settle in for the journey.
Your first destination is the Lancelin Sand Dunes, where you can experience the thrill of sandboarding down the towering white sand dunes.
Next, make a short stop at the Nilgen Lookout in a beautiful nature reserve, where you can see wildflowers (in season). Alternatively, stop at the secluded beach at Hangover Bay to learn about its indigenous heritage.
Finally, arrive at the Pinnacles in time for sunset. Enjoy a barbeque dinner with wine followed by stargazing, with telescopes and astro-binoculars, and hear Dreamtime stories of the night sky long told by Australia's first people.
Your tour ends with a drop-off where you were picked up.

This was a really great excursion. We had a lot of fun surfing the sand dunes! Our driver/guide Neil was very friendly and really knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the areas we drove through and about the stars. The Pinnacles are quite a spectacular sight. I’ve never seen anything like it. We had some clouds that night so Neil went above and beyond and made an extra stop on the way home when the clouds cleared so we could take another look at the stars. I highly recommend this experience.

It was a fun day out. Our guides took very good care of us and are very passionate!
Sam made sure all of us had a chance sliding down the dunes and kept everyone on time
Peter was very passionate during story telling, about the culture, showing us the stars and planets.
We were blessed with clear skies as well.

It was an amazing experience for my husband and me. The pick-up was punctual, and tour was well organised. Peter, our driver & tour guide was very knowledgeable & friendly. It helped that the weather was perfect that day, so our group was able to enjoy sandboarding and the full Pinnacles and stargazing experience! The bbq sunset dinner was plentiful & tasty. Everything turned out well & it was an unforgettable day for us!

This is a tour represents a great day of discovery for people of all ages and abilities. Our guide Dave was very engaging with the entire bus group (who ranged in age from 3 to 73) and remained enthusiastic throughout the day. His knowledge of the night sky at The Pinnacles was outstanding.
I highly recommend this trip for young and old, there is something for everyone to learn. Much thanks to Dave .

Absolutely amazing! We were lucky enough to see both the stunning sunset and the Milky Way. A big shout out to our guide Peter. Not only was he knowledge, he was also funny and considerate. He tried his best to explain the attractions and answer all the questions that we had. We could never enjoy our tour that much without him. The logistic of this tour is also reasonable. 10 out of 10!

Superb and unforgettable experience seeing the southern hemisphere nightsky in the pinnacles. Aaron the guide took great care of the group, entertaining us with interesting facts and history and Aussie music, preparing a lovely BBQ dinner (complete with a variety of salads), and driving us safely to and fro the Pinnacles. The sandboarding activity at Lancelin was also heaps of fun for adults and kids.

The guide was friendly, informative, and well organized throughout the tour. The itinerary was enjoyable, with enough time at each stop to explore and take photos. Everything ran smoothly, and it was definitely time well spent. I would happily recommend this tour to others visiting Melbourne.

Our guide Peter is very knowledgeable about so many different things, from WA flora and fauna to the cosmos. He also cooked a pretty good BBQ.

We have a wonderful and beautiful experience for sand boarding, Pinnacles Sun Set and Star Glazing was indeed a memorable experience love it. Amazing sunset and peaceful night viewing many stars in the dark sky ❤️. Due to sudden rain we didn’t experience sand boarding much which is a pity. Overall experience was great and thank you very much to our guide Peter and teams who put together the buffet dinner at the Pinnacle. Dinner was good and appreciate your hard work for such a wonderful experience 🌈🥰 we miss it so much cheers🥂

Never got picked up. Came earlier and took another person instead of me from the bus stop, was standing at the bust stop 5 mins prior to the pick up time. Caught a train into the city to go on a trip and left stranded. Called after 15 minutes of waiting and couldnt get through the phone, called again 15 minutes later and got told the driver has taken someone else accidentally. Why dont we ask people their names instead of telling them what their name is " Are you Dilnoor", and the person said yes. Why not ask what their name is. Got a refund but only had 1 day in Perth and was looking forward to it. Waste of 2 hours travelling to and fro on a train to catch this tour bus. Waste of time.

Stunning sunsets and clear skies for stargazing, weather dependant of course but we had the most amazing benign conditions. Our driver/guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about all things celestial.

We did the Pinnacles Desert Sunset Dinner and Stargazing Tour at the end of April and had such a great experience. Before the tour, we received a message asking if we’d be able to change our booking by a couple of days because the weather forecast wasn’t looking ideal for stargazing. We were really glad we did, because the weather turned out absolutely beautiful.
It was definitely a long day, but completely worth it. Seeing the incredible Pinnacles up close at sunset was amazing, especially knowing they may one day disappear due to erosion. The highlight though was the spectacular night sky — the stargazing was unforgettable and unlike anything we’ve seen before. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

Sam and Gavin were very friendly. Although we were at the Lancelin Sand Dunes and the Pinnacles two days ago, the experience were quite different. We had a go at sandboarding this time and it was quite an experience for a couple in our late sixties! The experience at the Pinnacles again was quite different in the evening and nighttime.

A fantastic trip - well worth the 2 hour drive. The sand boarding en route was brilliant and the the sunset at the Pinnacles was fabulous. Our guide cooked up a great bbq and was really knowledgeable about all of the stars and helped us take some great photos.

Peter, our guide, was friendly, a good driver and informative.
Several hours of uninterrupted driving, to old to sand board, but looked like fun and a welcome stop. Pinnacles desert interesting. BBQ disappointing, by the time I got to food no BBQ beef or chicken left, had to settle for a hot dog, unacceptable!!
Stargazing could have been so much better, encouraged guests to us cell phone app instead of shutting off phones and looking at the stars. Meant constant light off phones ruining night vision. Left a bright white light on food table also ruining night vision. Passing cars out of tours control but spoil night vision. Could have set up red lights for safety and not damage night vision. In spite of this we were able to see milky way faintly and saw several shooting stars and satellites. Southern sky has a lot of bright stars. Unfortunately we had high cloud move in part way through the viewing.

We had an absolutely incredible time on our guided tour to the Pinnacles Desert and Lancelin sand dunes! The landscape is truly otherworldly, and the entire day was paced perfectly to take it all in.
A massive shout-out to Peter and Claire for the excellent arrangement. They made the entire trip seamless and stress-free. To top it off, the dinner they provided was lovely—it was the perfect way to refuel and relax as the sun went down.
The absolute highlight, however, was the sand-boarding and star gazing.
If you are looking for a unique and well-managed experience, I cannot recommend this tour enough!
