Itinerary

Start your Perth hop-on hop-off bus tour at any of the stops, where you board the double-decker bus for easy transportation around the city. Just hop off when you wish to check out the attractions that interest you, and when you’re on board, listen to recorded narration about the city’s major sights.

Perhaps admire the Victorian Gothic architecture of the Town Hall, go shopping on Hay Street or Murray Street in the central business district, or visit the Perth Cultural Centre, the Museum of Western Australia, or the Heath Ledger Theatre, named in honor of the late actor and native Perthite. Don’t miss Kings Park, the city’s crown jewel that boasts a lovely view of the Swan River and downtown skyline. At the Botanic Gardens, you can wander past 3,000 species of plants, including Western Australia's wildflowers.

The full tour loop lasts about two hours if you don’t get off the bus. You may use your ticket for discounts at several attractions around the city.

Booked online so had the eticket ready to show the driver. Opted to sit upstairs so got a better view. The front few seats were covered so affording shelter from the sun, but not on the second bus we hopped back onto so had to sit down stairs. Commentary was fine.

The city is criss-crossed by at least 4 free bus lines, designated "CAT" (perhaps Central Area Transit?) + a color. We rode the Blue CAT for a while and then boarded the hop-on-hop-off for a two hour tour. We chose not to "hop off" anywhere because doing so would mean a full hour before we could "hop on" again. TIP: ( If you ever visit Perth) The CAT busses run much more frequently; will save about $30 USD pp; and give you time to visit several places along the way without a one hour wait.

The bus was clean and the driver was polite and very helpful. There is aset schedule and the driver adhered to it. The is a canopy for the top open level so we were able to sit up there in the shade. The bus stops were easy to locate and are located to correspond with the major tourist areas. The commentary could be more robust but is adequate. I recommend this activity.

The Explorer HOHO bus is OK for a 2hr loop to get a good overview of Perth however, with an hour wait between pickups at the hop off points would be irritating (say, if you wanted to hop off, take a picture or two and hop back on). 30 min. between pickups up times would be more appropriate and give a better feel of the city. Better access to a route map and specific stops would help….esp. when arriving via the train.

Be sure to take sunscreen and a hat even if it is cool. The bus slowly makes its way around the city and to Optus Stadium so you can see things enroute very well. The stop at Kings Park is a must to view the Swan River and Perth City

The bus does not run on time, I know it would be difficult to keep up with traffic but we waited for over 30mins and 45mins at two stops. This meant we missed the final stop at Crown where our car is parked. We had to spend more money catching public transport back to our car.

However, on the day of your tour, we encountered an unforeseen and significant traffic delay due to a large crash that blocked most of the roads in the CBD. The situation was further exacerbated by road closures in the area for a running race. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused you. Please understand that these delays were unfortunately beyond our control.

Overall, was happy with the tour. As it was raining, we stayed on the bus for the 2 hours. I felt in that time, there could be of been more audio. There were many old buildings that were not spoken of such as the Police Court which was built in 1897.

A great way for a quick tour of Perth popular sights. Price is reasonable especially if you plan your route well for hop on/off. There are 2 buses running in 1hr interval so its quite sufficient to comb individual spots except for Crown and Outlet Mall.

Joined the tour from nearest stop from hotel. Always like to do full tour of the route first, then decide where I might want to get off on second time around. Enjoyed the sights and detailed recorded commentary giving information on history of Perth and landmarks of the city. Especially enjoyed the drive through King's Park which is large enough to have 4 bus stops to itself! So much to see and do there.
