A great chance to see...

Cindy_m, Jan 2026
A great chance to see some of the inland of the Island. An amazing amount of variety of plants both for food and medicinal. A great meal in a great atmosphere

Fantastic!

Starrlite_D, Jan 2026
It is a unique experience! Lescelle met us at the meeting point amd took our group through fern gully (BEAUTIFUL) and into the highlands. The farm is quaint and beautiful with tons of medicinal herbs and fruits. Got to even try a coffee berry right off the tree! The authentic lunch was also phenomenal, made right there at the farm and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you want something off the beaten track!

Very Pleased

Charlie_R, Dec 2025
Our host was very knowledgeable about the medicinal properties of the plants native and nonnative on the farm, and there was a variety of plants. He has also very entertaining throughout the trip. My spouse and I had a great time.

A great departure from overcrowded tourist destinations - we learned a lot and had some great food.!

Highly recommend trying this!

This was an excellent tour to see the real Ocho Rios countryside and get outside of the port area. Our guide was super friendly, full of jokes, and very wise. We had a great time sampling all the fruit and learning about the herbs and their medicinal purposes. The included lunch was OUTSTANDING. A real farm to able experience!

Fun and informative family run tour

JeriB, Nov 2023
Great food and very informative about medicinal herbs of Jamaica. Nice family run tour and farm. Go off the beaten path.

Not your average food tour…

Stephanie_P, Sep 2023
If you’re really interested in Jamaican food history and what natural plants and roots can be used for natural homeopathic remedies, and our secret on why Black Don’t Crack.. but you won’t get the full secret tho..

Authentic and interesting!

Fun and interesting experience for the family. Learned a lot from the local guide and enjoyed trying the different fruits and foods. “Staff” at the farm made us feel like part of their family.

Great Tour

Orlando_W, Jun 2023
We had an absolute great time on our tour of the farm. Lescells was very knowledgeable and brought the tour to life from the time of pickup until rwe returned. We enjoyed learning about the many medicinal properties of the herbs and plants there. We even tasted fruits and herbs straight from the plants. We had our children with us, so it is fun for adults and children. Leavell was a great tour guide, and the provided lunch was delicious and natural.

Response from Host, Jun 2023

Thank you Orlando, much appreciated.

Amazing Taste, Smells, and Knowledge at an affordable price.

The experience was amazing!!! Really got to see Jamaica and not just a port. The guide was funny and very knowledgeable. The fruit and the food was great (and totally from the farm). Would do the excursion again the next time we are back in Jamaica.

Eat, See, Learn

Casey_B, Mar 2023
Great tour, the guide was awesome, the farm was beautiful, and the food was delicious. The guide even tracked us down after we became confused as to where to meet, that was greatly appreciated!

Local flare

Denise_B, Feb 2023
Being able to visit a local farm and hear about the herbs etc was really nice. The home cooked meal was even better!

Worth it

Candice_V, Jan 2023
As with the other reviews.. Lacelles was great, he really knows is stuff and he is very polite, friendlyand helpful. It was an enjoyable ride to the farm. I wasn't able to complete the whole tour because of all the hills and my knees just wouldn't cooperate but it was still great. I enjoyed the learning of different herbs and the fruit tasting was yummy. Also, the lunch was good.

A Perfect Peaceful Day

Linda_T, Nov 2022
The small group and wonderful knowledge of our guide couldn't be beat. It was such fun driving through the country to this vegetable and medicinal herb farm. All the while our guide filled us in on the geography and history and culture of the region. His knowledge of botany and herbal remedies at the farm was amazing. But sitting down with our fellow explorers and being treated to delicious healthy lunch was the best part of the day.

Meet the plants, eat the plants

Laura_E, Sep 2022
So glad we chose this tour instead of one of the cruise ship excursions! We knew we wanted to do something related to Jamaican food and it did not disappoint. We learned about the plants that are grown in Jamaica and then we ate and drank some of them!

An experience line no other!

Joseph_K, Mar 2022
First of all, Lascells was an amazing guide! All the way up the mountain to the farm he was full of information and laughs. He took us all around his beautiful farm, explaining all of the medicinal values of all the local herbs, vegetables and fruits. We got to taste a lot of the different things freshly picked, awesome experience. When we were done walking the farm, we got to sit and enjoy a delicious homemade lunch with Lascells, made by his lovely wife Elizabeth! This is a truly different side of Jamaica you'll normally never see. It's very laid back and easy on the body if you're not into hard hiking. I give it. 10/10!

Excellent Tour Group!

Where do I start? We booked this tour separate from our Carnival Cruise options. I traveled with my Mom who is handicapped and uses a transport chair, so I was very careful in selecting a safe, accessible tour as well as one she would enjoy. They sent a text days before to confirm. So right there that was a huge plus.. having direct contact. I was able to text concerns in meeting them at the port and our dock time..they were quick to answer and very patient off the bat. We met our gorgeous guide Toni right where they said she would be. Both Toni and our driver.. who's name I forgot (sorry) where extremely accommodating and helpful with my mom's mobility issues and gave her special attention. Helping her on and off the bus, her transport chair, and even held her hand to make sure she wouldn't fall. The tour itself was amazing! A nice small number of friendly guests accompanied us. Our driver and Toni made many stops during our tour and pointed out special plants and sites that we would have never been able to spot on our own. Loved their spontaneity and humor! We learned so much. The private beach where we had our lunch was beautiful. The authentic food was explained and very tasty. Again.. they, as well as the others in the company at the location helped my Mom. They included all in the Jamaican music and dance demonstration. It was a lot of fun! When it started to rain.. they arranged for a private car to take my Mom and I safely back to the ship so that we would not be late! The tour is worth so much more than what we paid. The amount of time care and preparation they put into this tour goes beyond. We could not recommend them more! Thanks to everyone, including the other guests for this great experience.

Immer wieder gerne
