Itinerary

Pickups are made at the cruise port or your Ocho Rios hotel by private vehicle. Meet your guide and journey through the mountains until reaching the rainforest of Fern Gully, home to more than 350 species of ferns and other plant life.

Sample a variety of local fruits at a fruit stand before moving on to the Breadnut Hill community where you'll get a look at local life.

Following a coastline ridge, your guide stops for photo ops of the Caribbean Sea. You can purchase refreshments from a bar before continuing on to the Ocho Rios Jerk Centre for lunch. Sink your teeth into jerk pork or chicken served with rice and peas and accompanied by a soft drink.

After this authentic Jamaican meal, you're returned to the port or your hotel.

Not worth the money, boring Said that on sundays everything was mostly closed so why make Sunday available to book. Guy was nice but still not worth the amount of money we paid

A true taste of Jamaican culture

Our tour with Cool Daine was amazing! We started the tour off with a stop at a fruit stand where we enjoyed coconut water and sugar cane. We also loved our drive through fern gully and a neighboring parish. Our tour guide was patient and a great time! Would recommend this tour to couples and families of all ages!

Save your money

This was positively the worst tour I have ever done. The guide was an hour late and blamed cruise traffic. We were off the cruise so he should have allowed for extra traffic. But that was ok we didn’t want that to ruin our day. Then he drove us to some statue that took an hour round trip to see. The statue was some local hero and the guide couldn’t tell us why he was a hero. We then sat in the same traffic going back to town. Then the guide stopped and ran into the meat pie store while we waited in the car and tossed us the bag of hot greasy deep fried pies to us to eat in the car. We then drove through a tropical road to see some old guy sitting on the side of the road selling spices on a small table. Could not understand a word he said. We asked our driver if we could skip the next stop and just try the jerk chicken. It was dry and had no jerk flavor at all. We then were dropped back at cruise port. There was no fun interesting info about the island or anything we were seeing. We spent the day in the car and in traffic. The food was nothing exciting. And this was expensive. Horrible waste of a day and money. I would gives negative stars if I could.

I must sincerely apologize for the late start, the Ochi Rios port is a small port , hence tour operators are not allowed on port unless they have been called in also normally when there are 2 ships in port the traffic going into and out of the port can be very lengthy, I am sorry you have to experience that. We are really sorry to learn that you did not enjoy your day, should you revisit the Island we would love to make this up to you. Sana

Beautiful ride through town

The ride through the scenic greenery was beautiful. Our driver/host Joel was very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend him and the tour. He gave us an informative narrative of the St Ann and St Mary parishes. I’m mobility impaired, so it was nice that I didn’t have to do too much walking. (I’m certain more walking about is offered, for more able bodied tourists.) Lunch was great and we took an extra stop for a wee bit of shopping too!

Great Authentic Local Experience!

If you’re looking for an authentic tour that will give you an opportunity to view different local areas in Ocho Rios, taste various fruits indigenous to Jamaica, and have some great local food for lunch then this is the tour for you. My wife and I would definitely recommend this experience. To our surprise, or maybe I need to do a better job at reading a fine print, this ended up being a private tour, which was great for her and I. Our driver, the Jamaican Mr. T, was absolutely amazing. He was very courteous, personable, engaging, and had great knowledge of the area which made for a great experience. He gets a 10 out of 5 rating! The entire experience was only four hours, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beach and pool back at our resort for the balance of the day. Definitely give this a shot!
