Following pickup from your hotel in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios, transfer to the marina to board your boat.
Climb aboard the 65-foot (20-meter) catamaran and find a comfortable place on the deck to enjoy the views. As you glide out of the harbor, watch the coast slip away and the turquoise blue Caribbean fill your view. Catch some rays on the open deck or relax in the shaded portion of the boat while the ship heads for Dunn's River Falls.
Your captain will choose a snorkeling location depending on the day's conditions. Slip on the provided mask, fins, and snorkels and plunge into the warm water. Swim over reefs of living coral to see schools of colorful tropical fish. Feel free to ask your crew for any snorkeling guidance.
Back on the boat, continue to Dunn's River Falls, one of Jamaica's most famous landmarks. Disembark on the beach where the falls empty into the ocean, then follow your guide up the 600-foot (182-meter) trek that takes you to the top of the falls. Along the way, stop for quick swims in one of the many lagoons created by the terraced cascades. Enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding landscape from the top.
After returning from your trek, climb back on to the catamaran for the return sail. Indulge in some rum punch and listen to some traditional island music.
Your day ends with transportation back to your Ocho Rios or Montego Bay hotel.

Such a fun and great day! The boat ride was very calm even on a windy day. Crew was excellent, very professional and kind. Snorkeling was great, we got to see a lot of fish and had plenty of time. We can’t recommend Dunns River enough. Our guide was incredible and it was an unforgettable adventure. Perfect day. The only thing I wish I had known before is that lunch is not until the end, at 3:30. Eat a big breakfast.

The transfer to and from this activity was really good, we were picked up at 9:45, but we had to wait over an hour to go up Dunns fall and after that we expecting lunch as it was 1:30pm, we didn’t get lunch and went straight out on the catamaran and had a very rushed snorkelling experience. We then got taken by car to have lunch but by this time it was nearly 4pm, we were starving and then told we had to buy drinks with lunch at $12 each (even though it said lunch and drinks included), we ended up asking to be taken back to the hotel to get food and drinks there.
We loved Dunns falls but would not recommend doing it as part of this trip.
Take snacks if u do this trip!

Climbing the rocks was adventurous and fun! Our tour guide Loyd was extremely helpful and guided the way perfectly! Grizzly was on point with the videography. He really captured the moments. Our photos and videos came out great! Our boat ride to snorkeling and back was so fun. Our captain, Dj and crew members really made the trip. From the music, to the drinks and dancing we had a blast! The water was beautiful and weather was great. We didn’t see any fish but overall amazing experience!

We've been picked up by a excelent Driver.
We got to the boat deck at dunns River.
First we gad to go on the boat to check in after WE went up dunns River which was amazing.
What was not good was the Foto videographer Things on the boat they tried to get you to buy their Pictures. They also Made Pics of you If you didnt want to.
Then there was a videographer which follows you the way Up make Pictures of u also the Tour Had to Pause when He took the Pics of each. For 40 Dollars you can buy them and get them via Mail.
After we went to the snorkling Spot.
The snorkling was quiet nice. You Had to watch to get No finns in your head but thats Part of IT. The Guide Had to Feed the fish on.
After snorkling the boat went Back to dunns River where the drivers where waiting to Take us to margaritaville for lunch. The Guide took us directly through a Souvenir Shop to margaritaville. There where no Drinks included with the meal. And the Margaritaville Guys tried to sell everything to the people.
The Tour was OK but for us the biggest thing was the very loud music and that everybody want to get to your Cash on each possible was.

Snorkel trip was 30-minutes in and out. No time spent helping getting into water and mask adjusted. Also very limited fish viewing. Crew had to bait fish to come by for viewing using fish food! Dunns River Falls was fun however paid $40 USD for a video/photo only to not receive it via email. Party boat back to starting point was a 30min all you can drink feast with country music blaring. Majority of the people onboard were so drunk they could hardly get off the boat!

We enjoyed the team on the catamaran. They did a great job getting everyone involved in activities in the boat. Team was kind, fun, and helpful! Transportation was right on time at specified location. After the boat ride we had lunch (came with our excursion) and it was great! Plus we had time to look around at the shops.
Everyone made sure we were safe and enjoyed our time!

Loved the staff on the Catamaran. Chukka was awesome. I do wish they had rinsed the floor off while we were climbing the Falls, it was covered in hair and it would have been nicer to have it rinsed as we were all barefoot.

We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken to the beach club and told to enjoy the shopping until ready to go. We only got to the third shop when we found out the bus left us behind so we had to wait for him to return. Finally got to the dock, boarding was easy. Drinks were free but virgin. Went to snorkel, didn't see many fish. Went to Dunn's without having anything to eat and only virgin drinks. But they were selling food and rum - it was extra. They starve you and only give you virgin drinks so you can spend your money. They had beef patties and if you've never had one, please try them. Dunn's was amazing! The photos where $40 but you only get 11. Finally they provided rum punch and beers as we waited for everyone. We finally got back to the beach club and were fed. Jerk chicken was good but we had to leave right away and once again could not enjoy the shopping!

Tour guide picked us up on time. Keep in mind the tour time is not the pick up time (pick up time is much earlier if you are starting from Montego Bay). Felicia (bus tour guide and coordinator) was great! Catamaran ride was great and a lot of fun coming back. Dunns river is a bit of a tourist trap, so be ready for that. Overall a good time…wouldn’t recommend doing solo though.

Great excursion! The snorkeling was good, dunn River falls was a hike but we made it and the ride back on the catamaran was perfect. Only change I would make is improve the organization when checking in at Chukka and don’t say we need a photo ID because we were never asked for it.

I highly recommend this tour! We had a prompt pick up from our hotel before starting our journey. Our driver and guide on the way to the dock were hilarious! Once we boarded the catamaran, the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. They also made sure that everyone felt safe and knew the safety rules to follow once on board. The snorkeling was really cool and there were staff members in the water with you at all times to make sure you were safe. For those who did not partake in snorkeling, there were other staff members on board to make sure they were ok. Once we arrived at Dunn's River Falls, we got off the boat and had a tour guide from there take us up the falls. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you wear water shoes to do this climb. Also, make sure to be VERY aware of where you are stepping where it's on the rocks or into the pools of water, otherwise you will fall. After the climb, we got back on the boat and had a wonderful time listening to music, having drinks, and making memories!

Lots of fun with great music. The dunns river hike was a lot of fun with a helpful guide. Only recommendation I have is for the snorkeling…water was very choppy and boat was parked far from the snorkeling area. Most people were unable to make it to where the fish were. Consider getting people closer or workers can help take people closer to the area.

Everything was great! Loved the mood and the vibe. Only complaint is that you won't allow persons to bring their own snorkel mask. Reconstructive face surgery years ago prevents some of us from using a traditional mask. You make us sign 900 pages of waivers and liability forms. Surely, it would be okay to let us use our own mask.

The catamaran was too crowded and when taking off and putting on shoes there should be somewhere for an older or elderly person to sit. I suggest there be benches or seating for someone to sit and put on and take off their shoes. Also sitting at the netting should be an option not s permanent seat it should only be enough people on there for proper seating.

On past excursions in other locations, I have been with smaller groups, so I was not expecting this excursion to be so crowded. The description of this excursion made it seem like we would be traveling from Montego Bay via catamaran, and we would be on the boat for a couple of hours each way, stopping to snorkel on the way to the falls. We were picked up from our resort in a bus and driven to a Chukka outpost in Ocho Rios, an hour and a half ride, where we had to check in and wait for the rest of the groups to get there before going to a marina to board the catamaran. While we waited, we visited shops and wandered around. We were told by our van driver that we would just be getting out, receiving a wrist band, and getting back on the bus, so he told us to leave our bags on the bus. After getting off the bus, our driver was made to move from the lot to make room for other busses, so our belongings went with him, and we did not have our wallets to buy things from the shops at the outpost. We did have time to shop after coming back from the falls, however. After asking multiple times how long we would have to wait and why other groups were getting wrist bands and leaving, the staff finally called our bus driver and we were picked up to go to the marina. When we got there, were were one of the last groups to board the catamaran, even though we were one of the first busses to arrive at the outpost. The were approximately 120 people that were loaded onto the boat, and by the time we boarded, there were no seats left on benches that were covered. We had to sit on the nets at the front, and we were packed in with other people like sardines. We were taken a short distance off shore and the guides started handing out snorkel equipment. We were told that we would have 30 minutes to snorkel. By the time everyone was off the boat and in the water with their gear, we were able to snorkel for about 15 minutes before they started telling us to go back to the boat. The water was so crowded that I felt that I was constantly bumping into other people. The area of reef that we were taken to was small, and there wasn't much to see there. I had much better snorkeling experiences with smaller tours that took me far offshore on a previous visit to Jamaica, and on trips to Mexico and Belize. Don't expect a phenomenal snorkeling experience on this excursion. After we finished snorkeling, it was a short ride to the falls. The tour guides were very friendly and high energy, and they were very helpful. Upon arriving at the falls, it started to rain. We were told that we were still welcome to climb the falls, so we exited the boat and we were split into groups by the Dunn's River Falls guides. After we started to climb, the rain really started coming down hard, and the water was rushing very fast. The guides were phenomenal at keeping us on the right path and helping us when it was hard to see. By the time we finished, the water was muddy, and there were areas where the currents were very strong. It was such a challenge and an excellent experience. We loved this part of the excursion! There are vendors on the beach that will try to trick you into buying things after, so be careful in that area if you don't want to spend money. The ride back to the outpost on the catamaran was fun, and the rum punch is strong, so beware! We had lunch at Margaritaville at the outpost, and the jerk chicken was decent. Afterward, there was an hour and a half van ride back to our resort. This excursion would be much better if it was less crowded and there was more time to snorkel, but overall it was decent. I think that next time I will look for a smaller private company so that it will be a more intimate experience like what I've had in the past.
