Overview
Visit Jamaica’s Luminous Lagoon, one of the few places on earth where microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates make the water appear to have a bioluminescent glow. Enjoy the drive to the site, admiring local landmarks and learning a bit about the area from your local guide. Nothing like the pictures. Hardly any blue. The boat ride was very enjoyable. Water was mostly warm with some cool mountain water flowing in.

Now the luminous lagoon work according to the weather that we do not have any control over it, something it doesn't blue much, and not even the captains cannot tells you that it's not going to blue x,time, but I'm so sorry you didn't see it as you were expecting it to be, but I'm encouraging you whenever time you return to Jamaica you can do it all over again. But I can see clearly that you've enjoyed everything else except the water didn't blue much, I really look forward for you to come again.

The entertainment was okay, the boat ride was fairly pleasant, but what was advertised and what actually happened was night and day. We didn't see anything glowing other than the flash from the "paparazzi" they had. If the tour operator knew the weather would affect the luminous lagoon, they should have said something to the people beforehand. It seems like they waited til near the ride was over and ended to say it was because of the excess rain. I would have been happy to reschedule. So all the money I spent was just for a boat ride.

I must first apologize for the out come of your tour,however that was because of the weather condition which was beyond our control. You stayed at a hotel that was in a different parish from the parish in which you had booked your excursion for. On your pick up to travel to the destination there was sunshine from where leaving but because of the distance we travel to reach to the luminous lagoon, we could not predict the weather that we were going to see on reaching there.Sadly the outcome was different the normal blue glistening water that would be seen on a regular night. ...Again I must apologize for the disappointment, Tour Jamaica Today look forward to seeing you again for a bigger and better experience of this Beautiful island of Jamaica.

This was an amazing experience! This bio phenomena only occurs in four places in the entire world. Apparently, at this location, the luminescence is the brightest of all of the other locations. Our guide, Winston, was fantastic! We would highly recommend this tour.

Without a doubt, the experience was truly exceptional. Winston, our driver, surpassed all expectations with his thoughtful gestures and impeccable service. For my girlfriend's birthday, Winston adorned the van with festive balloons and a delightful birthday hang-down decoration. Moreover, he thoughtfully provided non-alcoholic cider, ensuring a delightful celebration for us. Winston's expertise shone through as he flawlessly organized every detail, allowing us to unwind and savor the moment. Despite the shallow waters, the experience was immensely enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience with a 5-star rating to everyone. It was worth every penny spent.

This was a nice excursion, the crew was friendly. However, be mindful of the photos that the crew takes of you, they charge an exorbitant amount for them, like $25 for 1 photo! Minus the high photos, our driver (Winston) was excellent, very knowledgeable and a SAFE driver!

This was a great experience. It was so neat to see the water light up when moving around. Winston was very nice and informative. Our phone got wet during the excursion and he even stopped at a supermarket to let us get some rice. Bring bug spray. There are a lot of mosquitos while waiting to get on the boat.

I booked this trip as a surprise for my wife's birthday and Winston went above and beyond from the moment I reserved it. The communication was great and Winston was bang on time to pick us up, he even went to the trouble of putting some happy birthday banners and balloons up in the bus for us which was really thoughtful and appreciated. During the drive from Ocho Rios to Falmouth Winston gave us loads of info about the local area and points of interest. When we got to Glistening Waters Winston took care of everything for us and let us know which boat we would be on. We got there in plenty of time so we could have a look around and take some pictures. The boat trip out to the lagoon was epic. "Captain Dave" was the skipper for our tour and he gave really clear instructions and made sure we were all safe and able to enjoy the experience equally, even our 5 yr old was able to enjoy a swim. We had good conditions for our trip so we had a great experience swimming around the boat as everything lit up in the water as we moved around. Swim time was around 15-20 mins so make the most of it, that's not a negative on the experience the time is limited to try and ensure too much silt isn't kicked up from the bottom of the bay which disturbs the bioluminescent effect. We tried to take our own photos on our mobile with waterproof case but couldn't really get anything, luckily they have photographers on the boat and you can review and purchase for a reasonable amount. Once finished Winston was there to greet us and took us safely back to our hotel. I highly recommend this trip as Winston took such brilliant care of us and made sure we had absolutely nothing to worry about and we were able to fully enjoy the trip with no worries or logistical obstacles. If you're planning on visiting the luminous lagoon then this is the way to do it. Thank you Winston!

I would definitely recommend Tour Jamaica Today. Our private van to the Luminous Lagoon was the same price as taking a big tour bus. We had a great driver, Leroy, who was friendly and told us some things along the way. We felt very safe with him behind the wheel. We got to the lagoon in plenty of time to board the boat. The lagoon itself is amazing - definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I would recommend Your Jamaica Today and this excursion to anyone.

It was such a wonderful tour! We loved that it was a private transport. You arrive to the lagoon before dark because Winston wants to make sure you are on one of the first boats out. We liked that we were able to the area in daylight and relax a bit before the boat ride.
The lagoon was amazing! We went on a full moon which was not recommended and the lagoon was still so bright and blue! It is really worth experiencing. The only thing to watch out for: the water starts to sting if you are in for a while. We were the first ones in the water and the last ones out and it started to feel like small paper cuts. Nothing visible when you are out or that uncomfortable. The water also has silt so I recommend a darker bathing suit to avoid any potential staining.
We had an amazing time and recommend especially for a first trip to Jamaica. Winston was on time and very knowledgeable and gives great tips and fun facts along the drive. Definitely a neat experience worth booking!

This was a great experience, from the driver Winston, as soon as I booked he text me on what's app to let me know my pick up time, then the day before to confirn,, upon picking my family uo, he was very friendly and accommodating. On the boat the operator was very informative, he gave us the history on how the water was discovered and they had a photographer to take pics of you in the water for sale upon reaching back to the dock.

It was good overall aside from the driver coming bit to early to then wait til it gets dark so we can be able to board. Once the time came the experience was really nice it really glows and you learn something new every day. It was cool.

Die 5 Sterne sind hier nur für unseren Fahrer Victor, da zumindest da alles reibungslos klappte.
Der Trip war sehr enttäuscht. Man konnte zwar im Boot das Leuchten etwas sehen, aber zum bildlichen einfangen war es zu schwach. Noch enttäuschenden waren die Fotografen mit ihrer angeblichen super Kamera...sie hat die Lichter null einfangen können.
Entscheidet selbst, ob ihr dafür Geld ausgeben wollt.

Die Abholung und der Transfer verlief bestens. Der Fahrer kam pünktlich und war sehr freundlich und hat uns auf dem Weg noch viel über die Umgebung erzählt.
Unter „Lagoon“ hatten wir uns etwas anderes vorgestellt, es war eher wie ein See. Auf dem Boot ist man ca. 30 Minuten, davon 20 die Möglichkeit ins Wasser zu gehen. Das Wasser leuchtet lediglich bei stärkerer Bewegung. Die meiste Zeit ist es also dunkel, wenn gerade keiner „rumzappelt“. Trotzdem war es ein schönes Erlebnis, ist für uns aber kein Muss, da wir es uns irgendwie spektakulärer vorgestellt haben.
Wenn jemand aber gerne hin möchte, können wir den Veranstalter absolut weiterempfehlen! 😊
