Customizing our tour stops was great, but would’ve loved more photo opps after visiting Blue Hole

We customized our tour and opted to go to Blue Hole instead of Dunn’s River Falls since we’ve already been there on a prior visit. Best decision we ever made! Beautiful location with not nearly as large of a crowd. Our guide at Blue Hole, Dante, was outstanding! He was our personal photographer and made sure we had fantastic images of the day. The remainder of the tour was pretty basic. Our driver, Keith, pointed out a few locations like private and public schools, but nothing very interesting. We also visited Fern Gulley but not photo opps or recommendations. Would have enjoyed the rest of the tour much more if the driver really showed us the city.

Craig, our driver was wonderful. He knew exactly what would be best for family. The blue hole was magical, the guys there were also great. An experience of a lifetime. Bring cash to purchase souvenirs and tips. Very happy with the whole adventure!

Better than an excursion bus!

Great Option Instead of Cruise Ship Excursion

I booked this trip with my group of three friends after our MSC cruise bamboo rafting excursion was cancelled. There was a similar experience available from MSC. However, the cost was around $130/ person for the same experience. This tour was well worth the cost. It was around $33/person for the round trip shuttle escort to Dunn’s River and shopping. Then, admission to Dunn’s River is $25 USD for non-Jamaicans. Our shuttle driver, Craig, picked us up from the Ocho Rios cruise terminal port, drove us to Dunn’s River, helped us get set up to climb, explained how the Dunn’s River climb worked, waited for us, and took us to a requested shopping and dining area in Ocho Rios near the port. We arrived at Dunn’s River before 1pm and the crowds were very reasonable. My group was able to take its time to climb in two hours and hang out on the beach. Craig was very friendly during the entire afternoon. I would definitely book with this company again over the cruise excursion. CLA Tours offers a better deal with 10/10 vibes and the tour is customizable for groups with personalized shopping stops.

A great day in Ocho Rios with Yanique

We had a wonderful day in Ocho Rios. Our driver and tour guide Yanique was incredible! She was happy, energetic, and knew a lot about the area. We wanted to Dunn’s River and Yanique not only walked with us to the entrance but also waited for us close by when we were done. She truly added to the experience by being attentive to what we wanted to do. If you ever book this type of tour, ask to have Yanique as your guide!

Mr. Wynter was one of the best!!! He understood exactly what type of tour we requested, and delivered with no ifs, ands, or buts!! Being from the Caribbean ourselves, we didn’t want to see the basic tourist attractions; instead, we had a scenic and historic drive, and boy, did we experience one of the best! Jamaica is one of a kind and very unique. I can now see why they take pride in their island, and if I were born and raised there, I would take pride too. We had the chance to book a tour with C.L.A. Tours Excursions, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Craig arrived in a spotless, air-conditioned van, and from the moment we started, we felt completely safe and comfortable. Very careful and professional driver, which made the journey relaxing and enjoyable. Originally, we had booked a trip to Dunn’s River, but Craig suggested we try the Blue Hole instead, especially since we had kids with us. That was such a fantastic recommendation—we had an absolute blast! The kids had the time of their lives. Craig also introduced us to Dante at the Blue Hole, and he was incredible with our young children. He jumped in the water with them, kept them laughing, and made sure they had the best time. What a great guy! Thank you for an unforgettable trip to Jamaica. Our kids will remember this forever. Highly recommended!

Craig was so hospitable and friendly, he let us customize our trip and suggested alternate options to Dunns River. We loved our tour Craig was amazing and patient very laid back and helped us get an alternative to the falls. He went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time. He gave us ample time to get around the shopping, even took us to a local restaurant for lunch, oh he also picked us up early. I don’t know where to start with Mr. Craig and this tour… guess I’ll just say I am forever grateful for this authentic experience! Previously my first trip to Jamaica was on a cruise stop, and with an excursion we got limited exposure to Ocho Rios that was just OK. But our time with Mr. Craig was “off the beaten path” per our request, and exactly what we wanted! Just simple, slow paced and heart warming interactions with the locals like Mr. Dennis the spice man up the mountain and Mr. Winston at Kanoka Falls (we didn’t desire to do Dunn) … feeling all the Jamaican love! Mr. Craig himself was so kind, catering, knowledgeable, patient and prompt! Couldn’t have asked for a better private tour guide or custom tour experience!!!
