Good Experience

We visited four wineries and had good experiences at all but one, Trinity Hill. At that winery there was little to no presentation of the wines—they just came around and simply stated the name of the wine as they poured. (It was lovely wine and we bought a bottle). All the others there were terrific presentations. Our guide, Denise, was a hoot! She did a great job of sharing information about sites we saw along the way. (She had a headset on to project her voice which was ideal with such a large group but then when she had private conversation with whomever was seated next to her in the front we could all hear the one-sided conversation…very distracting). We usually have private tours so being in such a large group was quite different for us but it turned out to be fun as we met and conversed with people from all over the globe.

A great afternoon drinking wine and being chauffeured around by Denise! We visited 4 wineries - 4-5 different wines in each. At first the servings seem quite measly but after the first 5 or 6 you realise why!! Over the course of 3+ hours I probably consumed the equivalent of 2 bottles!! If I’m honest it was probably 1 winery too many - maybe 3 and a bit longer in each would be better? Nevertheless a great day out and highly recommended.
