Marian was our guide and she was outstanding!. Every stop was a wonderful delight. My favorite- Maison Perret. The cheeses were sublime- especially the infused goat cheese!!!!!!!! The spicy sausage a hit. The owner was wonderful and so informative. Do not miss this trip.

This food tour was amazing! I went with my daughter and close friend. Our tour guide was so friendly and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable about the history of food and France which we all loved. The tour and samples at Floridian was my personal favourite . We walked through many parts of Nice and old Nice. Food tasting was awesome, especially the Socca! Grazie Ellie!

Miscommunication on both our parts prevented me from participating in this tour. I never cancelled the tour and even stated I would be there for the tour. The tour group elected to not participated due to confusion. Sorry things did not work out. Maybe part of the confusion had the time issue. I used 4:30 instead of 16:30?? Ne careful of time notations.

Incredibly rude. Took my money and then messaged to say they couldn’t do that day because of the carnival (well why advertise that day then). Then when I asked for a refund they replied and said no refunds!!!!! Luckily Viator were excellent as this company is very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. Avoid!!!

We were very much looking forward to this food tour and were disappointed we couldn’t attend due to a last-minute medical emergency that required taking our son to the ER. While we fully understand policies around reservations—especially during the holiday season—the communication we received afterward felt unnecessarily unkind and lacking compassion. In a stressful situation involving a child’s health, a more understanding and professional response would have gone a long way. I share this not to criticize the tour itself, which may be wonderful, but to offer transparency for other families and travelers. How unexpected emergencies are handled is part of the overall customer experience, and kindness in those moments matters.

We did a private Old Town Nice Food Tour with Alex and absolutely loved it. Alex was a local and shared so many fun little facts about the area’s history and culture, which made the experience even more special. The food was fantastic and offered a great mix of local flavors. Our personal favorites were the truffle shop, the cheese and salami stop, and the candy store. Everything was delicious and felt really authentic. Such great value for money, we’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nice!

This tour is mostly based in the Old Town of Nice and includes samples from a variety of the small stores. Our guide, Ellie, clearly had a good relationship with the vendors and we had the opportunity to purchase as we went. The tour is a great introduction to the local food, however we still felt the need for an evening meal after. Worth noting the website for booking can be a little confusing. We had no indication we had initially booked the tour in Italian before the operator contacted us. The tour also starts slightly earlier in the off season.

They cancelled and then refused to refund us

We booked this tour, and the tour group cancelled it the night before due to the tram strikes in France. However they communicated poorly about it (it was very hard to understand that it was cancelled from their short and cryptic message) and then refused to refund us the cost, stating "We have not canceled the tour but postponed it until later due to the national strike. We are also customers of Viator, which has its own cancellation policy." However we had no information on when the tour was postponed nor asked if we could make it.

We had a fantastic time exploring Old Town Nice with our guide, Jordan. The tour started in a lovely sweet shop and took us through local favorites like socca, pan bagnat, and our personal highlight — the delicious pissaladière! Jordan was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating stories about the history of Nice and its aristocratic past, making the tour both fun and informative. Isabelle was very nice and knowledgeable, However based on our previous food tour in Barcelona I found this tour to be a cafe restaurant seated experience and not value for money. Whilst the food was nice it didn’t match the price point of what we paid. Sorry :(

It's true that life in Barcelona is cheaper than in Nice, the second most expensive city in France after Paris. In the price you pay (without promotions) of 62€ instead of 55€ in Barcelona there is included the salary of the experienced guide with the obligatory charges to be paid to the French state as well as the 30% that goes to Viator for each reservation on their platform. We glad you like the food and we hope you enjoyed also the bottle of good wine you drank between the 2 of you, as we kept the tour going despite the fact that there were only 2. You get so much food on this tour. There are so many stops and some of the portions are quite large. Bring some extra water! We had a great time on this tour - it focuses a lot on the wider Riviera and the foods that make Nice special. Would recommend! A great variety so there is something for everyone, I think! Our tour guide was very kind, too.
