Your evening tour of glitzy Monaco, including ultra-glamorous Monte Carlo, begins after dark: With pickup directly from your Nice hotel, and only a small group of fellow passengers to accompany you, you’re ensured a personalized and convenient way to explore.

As part of the scenic drive along the French Riviera aboard your air-conditioned, Wi-Fi-equipped vehicle, you’ll make a stop along the Moyenne Corniche to admire the views. As you go, your guide will share stories about Monaco’s history and highlights.

Upon arrival in Monaco proper, you’ll have 2 hours of free time to explore area attractions at your own pace, with the special chance to see the luxurious principality all lit up after dark. Admire the Prince’s Palace, and soak up its well-heeled atmosphere.

Next, transfer to Monte-Carlo, where you can choose to visit the casino or indulge in a gourmet meal (own expense). Afterwards, enjoy a classic Monaco experience when your guide takes you along its storied Formula 1 circuit. The tour ends when you’ve returned straight to your Nice hotel.

Actually, the “French Riviera sightseeing” that Viator is contracted with gets a rating of zero stars. French Riviera sightseeing tours never showed up at the confirmed designated pick up location for my family. After being 10 minutes late, we contact the tour operator for French Riviera sightseeing via email and was told the pick up location was in a different city. after sending verification of our pick up site to French Riviera tourism office and requesting an immediate refund, they never replied.

Disappointing tour

The tour guide felt unnecessary for this activity. We were driven to Monaco and then given almost two hours of free time without any real guidance. For the price we paid, we could have easily taken a train or Uber ourselves and had a similar — if not better — experience at a much lower cost. Unfortunately, the guide seemed more focused on chatting with two young passengers about blogging and Instagram photography than engaging with the rest of the group. While he was polite, he lacked in-depth knowledge about Monaco. His commentary was limited to basic statistics, and he was unable to answer even simple questions such as how one becomes a citizen of Monaco or the extent of the Prince’s authority. Additionally, our driver was not a tour guide and offered little to no commentary. He took us to the destinations, but didn’t provide any meaningful insights along the way. We've had much better experiences with other Viator guides who were far more informative and engaging. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of this tour.

What a lovely tour guide! He was Albanian but knew the history well. Very friendly and prompt. But you need to stop advertising you get water on this trip as no you do not!

We were expecting a tour to Monaco: Monte Carlo and Palace from outside. We were supposed to get water. Never went to Palace. Never got water or got offered. The driving over the speed limit was worse on the winding roads. However, we did stop at three spots on the way. What made this worse is on the way back they picked up four more passengers with luggage. That creates a safety flag and then feels like shared taxi and not tour. I would not recommend this. Take the train to Monaco. That is better.

Matt was an excellent guide...explained everything about the cities in a lot of detail. Great sense of humor and made sure we understand the places to see properly. Suggested good restaurant in Monte Carlo.

Giorgi, our driver was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, we had a really fun experience. He was only too happy to help us in any way. If you’re heading to the casino in Monaco, I think it would be great if Giorgi could text guests to take their passport otherwise you can’t get in to the casinos. We luckily took ours. Giorgi was so good at staying in touch by text so we couldn’t get lost, it would be great for his clients if he could give them the heads up about the casinos. We had such fun going in when we arrived in Monaco for a quick flutter. Take water with you as well, Giorgi is great at driving you around and showing you interesting things so take a bottle in the car with you. Thank you Giorgi for such a fun night. Lisa

Nice sites but crazy driver

Firstly our driver was over 30 minutes late. It was a small van so my family of 3 was squashed at the back. Tour itself was good but on way back our driver drove to the limits of the van to the point of feeling unsafe. You advertised it includes a fresh bottle of water however when i asked about it i was told NO dont do it anymore and i shouldn’t have asked for one(quite rude)

Our guide Matt was great. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the whole area. Monte Carlo and the casino was very enjoyable…but it would have been nice to have more time so that we could have a leisurely meal ( we had a rushed meal at Tip Top!). Perhaps a much earlier pick up time of, say…6.30pm?

Falsely advertised

An interesting experience - had no reconfirmation from the company, messaged on the day through Viator asking about specific pick up time and had to go to their website to find a WhatsApp number to message - received 10 minutes warning at 7pm. First thing the guide asked was if we had cancelled the tour the day prior, when we had booked over 2 months in advance. The trip was smooth to Monaco but no stop at the Moyenne Corniche which was advertised and instead of 2 hours free time in Monaco we had a 40 minute roughly guided walk through and then had to leave so we could exit the parking garage before it closed. Similar story in Monte Carlo; 1hr 15 minutes of free time as opposed to the advertised 3 which was fine but we were dropped off back at the hotel at 11pm instead of the 12:30pm shown on the booking - I think the guide was tired and was keen to get home. Not sure if it’s a communication error between companies but shouldn’t be showing what it is on Viator.

Too many stops en route

Even though we were picked up at 7.30 didn't get to Monaco till 10pm. Far too many stops en route. Was hungry in Monaco and all the restaurants were closed. Ended up in an expensive greasy spoon. The casino had a restaurant but we were too late !

The Casino. The rest was underwhelming. The driver was late at both pick up times and my group did not feel safe. The driver was knowledgeable but hard to understand. Nice person but the communication on all accounts was not good. Enjoyed my Viator tours in the past but will need to find other options in the future. Really should get a full refund for this tour. Uber or taxi would of been cheaper and better.

Tengiz our driver was right on time . Pick up time 745pm and he was there at 725pm ready to go . This tour is more about the destination not a standard tourist version with full time guide . Tengiz pointed out all the main highlights and we walked around the top of the cliff to take photos etc. can not fault the experience

The driver showed up and was sitting in the van on the phone , when asked if he was the tour guide he said yes but not until 7:45 . He was rude and was putting us down saying that we would have enough money to eat in Monaco. He did not take us to the casino because we didn’t have our passports. No one told us we needed them . This person should not be representing Viator and should be fired . A terrible experience.

We were to be picked up at 7:30. Guide called at 7:29. On the way. At 9:00pm no guide at our hotel! After numerous attempts to call them, we went back to the room, called credit card company to cancel trip and get refund. During the process, found out guide had cancelled the trip. No communication with us though.
