Itinerary
Make your way to the heart of Nice's Old Town, known as Vieux Nice, to meet your local foodie guide and small group. Learn about the area’s history and Italian influence as you wander through narrow lanes and past charming sidewalk cafés.
Along the way, stop in an assortment of local markets and specialty food shops hand-picked for their variety and authenticity. Sample classics of Provençal cuisine, such as a pissaladière onion tart, stuffed vegetables called petits farcis, and a Niçoise salad sandwich served on fresh-baked pain de campagne.
Taste locally produced cheeses, olive oil, and wine, plus a sweet almond candy known as a calisson. During tastings, chat with your guide and shop proprietors to learn how to incorporate local flavor into your cooking at home.
In between delicious dishes, visit other local highlights, including the colorful Cours Saleya Flower Market. After walking, nibbling and sipping, say farewell to your guide near Nice’s Place Rossetti.

Marion was an excellent guide! She was very knowledgeable and gave a great history of Nice along with the food and drinks. The food was delicious and plentiful! I would highly recommend the tour if you want to try some good food and learn about Nice.

We had a lovely morning in Vieux Nice with Lara our guide. We tasted many delicious morsels on our tour. Lara was kind and informative. She demonstrated a genuine love for her city and it's culinary offerings! We would highly recommend this tour to friends and family! Many thanks Lara!
Carmela was a great guide through the Nice market and old town historical district. We were introduced to some local food, cheeses, meats & vegetables in the market. Saw a a 500 year old fire oven still in operation turning out socca, a local fan fair, a pizza like delicacy and drank a socca beer. Next stop, olive oil introduction and tasting, to wine, meatballs and pastry of Swiss chard and dried tomato in herbs and olive oil. Delicious!
Oh did I forget, the Victorian Age sweet shop.

The experience was above our expectations. We have been on other food tours during our travels abroad and this is by far the best. Marion is pleasant, educated on both food and the rich history of the region. The food is spectacular. You could not get the quality of food that is provided at this price anywhere. Highly recommended.
A very pleasant walk around the gastronomy of Nice with some history and architecture included as well.
Our tour included so many wonderful tastes, from fresh cherries and strawberries to three cheeses with the most tender sun-dried tomatoes, olives, truffles, chocolate, rose wine, socca, olive oil, chickpea beer, and more. Marion gave us touches of Nice history that entertained and supported our tastings. On a very hot day, Marion also found shady stops for us and even some shops with A/C. Don’t miss this wonderful tour with local foodie celebrity, Marion!
I booked this tour last minute and I am SO happy I did. There were only 5 participants and Marion is a FABULOUS host. She has so much knowledge to offer, was super relatable and you can tell she has a deep passion for culinary which I truly appreciated. I would do this tour again because of how authentic it was, full of life Marion is and she really caters to each guest. I fell in love with Nice and she validated my feelings even more with how warm she was. The tastings were GREAT, the wine was nice and being able to meet other travels was helpful to me. I wish I could spend the day with Marion and all her great insight.
Marion was delightful and this food tour in Nice made my trip! We sampled such a variety of foods in Nice that I can honestly say that I would not have known which ones to try much less the background of these local treasures. Run, don’t walk to this tour!
Excellent food tour with Marion. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable and we tried lots of local foods, wine and socca beer, whilst walking around the city and learning about its history through food. Would definitely recommend.
Loved this food tour and our adorable guide, Marion, who came so well prepared! She had little wine glasses for everyone for the wine tasting at the end and washed all the fresh strawberries, apricots, and fruits we tried at the market. The cheeses and charcuterie were delicious. We got to try quite a few snacks (sweet and savory), some socca beer, white and rose wine, olive oils, and had a great time learning about some history behind the area and the food. Would definitely recommend this food tour!
Our guide Carmela was fantastic. She was incredible knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. We learned a ton and enjoyed every single tasting. It was also a great way to experience the Old Town of Nice. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had the best time on this tour with Lara— she is knowledgeable, friendly, and really knows her way around! We learned so much about city history and culture through the food— everything was delicious, interesting, fun. The other group cancelled last minute, so it was just us on the tour: it felt personal and special. Totally recommend this lovely tour!! And one tip: you will be full by the end of the tour so don’t each too much beforehand! The perfect start to our time in Nice :)

This is a fantastic tour. Our tour guides name was Laura. She was incredibly sweet and kind. She took us all over the place and we ate great food in the market and beyond. My family loved this tour. It was fantastic. My only tip is to bring a bottle of water with you, especially if it's hot! You can also buy water during the tour, but it's just easier if you bring your own.

A delicious and fun food tour that we LOVED! We got to try so many samples, wine, and olive oil - all amazing staples of Nice/Southern France! Our tour guide, Marion was so sweet and super informative - we had the best time and highly recommend!
We started by the fountain at the Place de Messena, and walked to a sweet shop by the flowers' market, where we tried a few sweets which were amazing. It was great to learn about the history of the foods and the region at the same time. After walking around some of the market's stalls, we made our way to a Socca restaurant, where we sat and ate and drank. Our tour ended with a cute pop-up picnic with wine and a collection of breads, meats, and cheeses. Everything was delicious and Marion and Gabby were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They even got us coffees since we didn't get a chance to have that before the tour started!
Perfect tour if you want to learn about Nice and taste many of the local dishes. Our guide Laura was so nice and made the experience!
She loves the food, knows the area and was so fun to listen to and learn from her knowledge and experience.
