Great walking, eating, drinking tour

Really great tour around Nice old town, stopping to sample local Nicoise food was really interesting and to learn about history of French/Italy area. Stopped at some little cafes we would never had seen otherwise. Sampling different wines with some amazing cheeses was a great way to nearly end the tour. One final stop for a pistachi croissant was the best way to finish a great tour.

Poor value and not a good quality food tour

Whilst our tour guide is a very nice person, this is not enough. I have done other food tours and unfortunately I would not recommend this one for the following reasons: 1. It is not good value - at €110 per person the quality of food and also only 2 alcohol beverages do not justify the money 2. One highlight was the cheese and bread tasting - it was good quality. However we only received 1 small glass of wine to accompany that tasting 3. We visited various cafes - however it seemed that it was quite ad hoc in the organisation as we only got a table if one was available rather than that the cafe had allocated one to our group. 4. The quality of food was just ok. It is more a street food tasting - whilst some of them may be typically Nice, we did not sample hot food Nicoise dishes. More like take out /street food type food. That is cheap and again does not correlate with the cost of the tour 5. We were given 20 minutes of the tour to look around the outdoor food market ourselves - this is a lazy approach to a tour. I have done food tours including visiting food markets and have been brought to specific stalls for food and wine tasting and met the artisan producers. This tour did not do this and instead let us spend 20 minutes walking around ourselves - I don’t expect to pay for this. This is something I can do myself for free! 6. The last visit was to a shop - the samples of the produce (jams etc) were from jar samples which the shop itself makes available to any customer who comes in (ie there are sample jars with the jams etc and spoon available to taste from the jar). Whilst the owner gave us a short talk, in my view it is not acceptable for the sample to be something which is given for free to anyone who comes into the shop. Again, this s something I can do for free myself. Therefore, I would not recommend this food tour to others.

Great guide, Michael, took us to various places to try local foods, socca, fried ravioli balls, fabulous cheeses & charcuterie, and the final stop was for amazing gelato. We got to see the flower market and several sights in old town Nice. We're thankful to have experienced these wonderful foods that we might not have tried otherwise.

We had a great experience on this tour! We met in front of the fountain at Garibaldi square & spent 3 hours walking round taking in the sights & trying some local delicacies. Iftah was a great guide, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the area & all the food we ate. We had 5x food stops trying both savoury & sweet local foods, all of which were delicious! There were seats available at all stops which was ideal for my mum who is 71 y/o, the walk was also not too strenuous, all on flat ground which was perfect for her. This was our 1st day in Nice & this tour was a great way to get our bearings for the rest of the trip, Iftah also gave us lots of great recommendations for the rest of the trip! Would definitely recommend this tour to others! Thank you Iftah :)

Great fun food tour

Our guide Ben was very knowledgeable and a fun friendly guy. He explained a bit of history behind each tasting. We tried many different food associated to Nice. Socco being one which is made from chickpeas. Ben also gave us recommendations of where to eat. You should book this food tour I do not think you will be disappointed.

This Nice culinary tour is awesome. Sam our guide is a chef himself and he had great input regarding the foods we tasted as well as about the old town we were walking through. I highly recommend this tour. I don’t know that we would have even seen this part of Nice if we hadn’t taken this tour.
