Lots of delicious food and we enjoyed the history and narration provided as well! Our guide was just fantastic, and we ate a lot of great French food! We appreciated that the tour still ran even though they had some last minute cancelllations so could have cancelled our tour. Highly recomend!

Our tour guide Allie was not only knowledgeable about the local cuisine and the cuisine’s history she was also friendly to us and the merchants we visited or traveled past. We truly enjoyed meeting the other people on this tour. We started the tour as strangers and left as friends.

given the cost of this tour the quality of the food was below average. Ally was wonderful and gave a great history of Nice and talked about the food that goes along with the history. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was below average, particularly the dinner, which occupies two of the four hours. The meat was tough and the ratatouille was a mushy mess. The three or four stops before dinner were very good and I thought were a good representation of Nicoise food. Instead of the dinner, it would have been much better to add several more stops with more unique high-quality bites of Nicoise food.

Totally worth doing especially in the beginning of your trip so that you get a sense of the old town, history and where to go etc. Ally was great. She had everything so well planned and prepared. Also meeting new people is always fun. We had a nice group and we enjoyed their company as we ate our way thru old town.

This was a great tour! My husband and I did the tour our first night in Nice to have a way to explore the city and try all the local foods, and this tour delivered that and more! Our guide Janelle was excellent, and not only had a great knowledge of the food and local cuisine we had but also the rich history of the city itself! We loved the socca and the candy shop where we ended up getting some sweet treats to share with family! If you are in Nice and hungry for good food and a great time this tour is for you!

First, I’d like to say that our tour guide, Ana, was lovely and had an encyclopedic wealth of knowledge regarding Nice, its history, and its cultural attributes. Sadly, the food and wine left a lot to be desired I thought. The socca was delicious, but was served with a plain strand of cherry tomatoes on the vine that were too big to fit in one’s mouth uncut. They weren’t served with any olive oil or salt or knife or anything – they were really plain. We visited a candy store that was good, but the rosé wine that the region is known for was not so great – it was dry the way I like it, but not smooth at all. Lastly, the place where we had a full meal was really disappointing. It served a deconstructed Niçoise salad that was kind of a real turn off. It was served with a plate of tuna on the side that looked like it had been flaked out of a can. The pissaladiere was soggy and not great either. I’ve been on food and wine tours in other countries, some of which have been through. Viator, and been great. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of them.

This food tour was a nice way to see Nice and learn about some of the history of the city. The food stops were generally good and authentic to Nice. We definitely feel like we left stuffed! I would recommend doing this tour on one of the first days of your trip, it helps you get a lay of the land while also some historical things you'll appreciate having known throughout the rest of your trip.

I’m serious. We ate so much delicious Nice food during the tour along with wine and other drinks. I can’t even remember how many stops for food we had and it was all delicious. Our guide was fun and energetic and taught us a lot about the culture and food of the area. Don’t miss out!

There was not much food provided, and it seemed mostly like a sales pitch for the providers. I really didn’t appreciate the hard sell. I would never recommend this tour to anyone.

Hi Denise, I think you may have us mixed up with another tour company? Although you had booked a tour with us, you were still in Atlanta, Georgia, and had missed your flight. You spoke with our amazing guide, Janel, and you told her that you would not be joining the tour. We have record of the phone call and time stamped pictures of the group that you’re not in. We only visit two shops in our tour, both historical, and neither to sell anything. But rather taste and appreciate the independent, hardworking, generational family businesses that we work with. Great intro to Nice

Janelle was a great guide! The walking covers a small area and there are lots of stops, you won't wear yourself out. Pur guide added a lot of info about Nice and its history to each stop as well. We tried many different Nicois snacks that I never would have tried had I not been on a tour. The wine was wonderful too :)

This tour is an absolute must do. Not just food, but also wine; and a city tour and history lesson. Allie was an incredible tour guide. She taught us so much or the city’s history and took us to a number of fantastic locations throughout the Old Town of Nice. The food is unbelievably plentiful and so is the wine. There are some food tours where you can wonder if you got your moneys worth, this is NOT one of them. We could hardly eat another bite or drink another sip by the end of the night. The tour went from 5 until 10, mostly because at the final dinner everyone was having such a lovely time together after having become friends. We did this tour on the day we arrived in Nice, and what a perfect introduction to the city. I could not recommend this tour more highly if I tried. I would not let any of my friends come to Nice without doing this tour.

This was a great way to experience the food of Nice. Our tour guide Ana was such a sweetheart. I was a little delayed getting to the starting point, but she reached out to me to follow up and I was able to communicate clearly with her about my very short delay. She took us to a candy shop where I bought way too many things and then to a few little bars where we were able to have an apple spritz and some snacks of that local to Nice. Then went to dinner where we were able to sample a wide variety of different appetizers and local food. Overall, the evening was a great experience and I had a very good time. The one thing I will say that as an American, we ended up eating pretty late(8:30 pm) which is not something I’m used to, but that’s just how the culture is in Europe, so it’s something that one should be aware of. I had been in France for a week by then so you would think I would’ve gotten used to it, but I really wasn’t. That being said, I would still highly recommend this if you were a true foodie and want to experience the cuisine of Nice.

Our Guide was so knowledgeable and so engaging. We left full and happy!! She kept going even though we were so tired from our flight because the pacing of the tour was perfect. We saw more than expected and tasted wonderful food and drinks. You won’t leave hungry!
