Our guide was Leo. He was very friendly and laid-back and was able to keep us all together (especially after the wine tasting!) and entertained! We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour and meeting the store and restaurant owners, and all of the facts that Leo gave us about the city and the background on each food we enjoyed. I would highly recommend this tour and guide!

Rachel is an excellent guide

Jim_R, May 2026
Rachel is an excellent guide. Besides touring us around she gave us great restaurant recommendations. The tour was fun and it was nice to give business to local merchants.

Great guide, decent food

Dominic_B, May 2026
Our guide was very friendly, the historic information about the tour was interesting and the people we met on the tour were all great. We have been on a few tours in our time though, adn we have to be straight up. The food side of it was a little bit underwhelming. There were definitely good things but it didn't represent great value for money. The first stop took almost an hour between all the walking, and it was olive oil tasting. So we tasted oils and vinegars from a spoon, with no bread or other accompaniments. Understandably this lets us concentrate on the oils flavour, but given all we got to eat for the hour was 1 teaspoon of oil it felt a strange start. Naturally it is more of an advert for the store than anything. The 2nd place we visited we got to try three wines with some cheese and charctuerie. The wine was excellent and again they provided some interesting details, but in terms of food it was around 2 squares of cheese per person and one or two pieces of meat. So good taste wise but not huge in terms of quantity. Then we get to the next stop, this place we sat down. They brought out some platters so we get to try various different niçoise dishes. This was where you get the most food and it was nice to try the variety of things. But the quality in my mind was definitely lower here than the other aspects of the tour. We ended up trying some of these things again at other restaurants where they were honestly just much nicer. The 4th stop was ice cream where you get to choose from a large variety of flavours, it was tasty. And then the final stop we headed back to the where we started to visit a chocolatier. We got to try one piece of chocolate there and well, it was clearly just an advert for the shop. I don't mean to be all negative, the people were friendly and the guide was great! And look, tours are often structured this way: everyone gets a few glasses of wine, they loosen up, they view the tour more positively. I think this tour maybe took it a little too far where we honestly basically got give wine on an empty stomach for 2 hours and then followed it up with a light lunch which didn't really do any of the dishes justice. We enjoyed it generally and I'm doubt anybody will have a bad time on this tour, if your expectations are appropriate you may even be pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was just a tour catering for a different experience than the one we expected.

Worth it.

Good food and wine for the cost. Tour guide was nice and informative. For the cost definitely worth it, give yourself extra time during this tour.

Wine, food and fun!

Nice walking food tour old town

kenneth_S, Apr 2026
The meeting place at 10 pl Massina was incorrect and no one notified us prior to the tour. The tour operator finally found us and she was excellent. I found the ice cream and candy place was too little. The olive oil testing they should have given us bread.

Tasty day in Nice

Cindy_S, Apr 2026
Ella was a knowledgeable tour guide who offered fun with the details of what we were tasting along with what we were seeing as we walked. We had 5 stops which included (but not everything)olive oil, wine and charcuterie, onion tart, chickpea crepe, chocolates and gelato. Tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours as we all enjoyed talking.

Excellent food & wine tour Leo was a great guide. Nice walk thru old town and good shops to visit and taste goodies!

Incredible gastronomical experience

Craig_F, Dec 2025
The private walking/ food tour gave us a fantastic overview of the variety of foods popular in Nice. After the 5 stops we indeed were quite satisfied! Rachel was knowledgeable and made us feel quite comfortable in each of the spots.

A delightful little taste of the culinary delights of Nice.

Warren_N, Oct 2025
We enjoyed a fabulous time being introduced to the unique foods and wines of Nice by our guide, Leo. As well as sharing information on the many delights we got to try, Leo proudly shared interesting information about his home city of Nice. The foods and wines were of the highest quality and we were well looked after by the hosts at each venue. A great way to educate your palate on the delights of Nice’s foods and wines. A highly recommended activity for everyone. Leo looked after us extremely well.

Nice Food Tour

Barbara_P, Oct 2025
We enjoyed walking around the old town area of Nice. Leo had a good variety of places for us to stop to try the food associated with the area. There was quite a bit of walking which we didn’t mind but other people might. We just found it a little difficult to understand Leo at times. I wish he had a little more enthusiasm for this tour-I felt like he was doing it as a way to make money.

Excellent tour!

Natasha_J, Oct 2025
Fantastic experience with Lena, who was a fellow foodie and really knew her stuff! It was a perfect trifecta of great food, great wine, and great views (courtesy of the Old Town). Would definitely recommend this tour!

Good tour, worth checking out

Ward_H, Oct 2025
Nicely planned tour. Start with light tastings and move on to more substantial items. We ended with desserts. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable

An enjoyable tasting in Nice.

Philip_S, Oct 2025
Our guide, Rachel was excellent, she was very informative and had a pleasant personality. We enjoyed all 5 stops on the tour but the Olive Oil store and the Wine Store were most interesting.

Nice taste of Nice

JAMES_L, Oct 2025
Our guide Rachel was knowledgeable, organized and considerate of alll in the tour. The tour included a wide selection of foods and wines.

Best food tour ever!

Erica_S, Oct 2025
This tour was fantastic, the best food tour out of the many we’ve taken. Rachel spoke beautiful English and really knew the food and the city. The variety of food sampled was outstanding and the portions provided were generous. We even had a wine tasting—a white, red and rose—which we didn’t expect. Time and money well spent!

Sinead was a great...

Anne_J, Sep 2025
Sinead was a great guide. We had a good time getting to know others in our group and walking all over learning about and tasting the delicious foods of the area. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Not worth it!!

Bernoune_F, Sep 2025
My husband and I did this tour and didn’t know what to expect, but we both were disappointed. We had a great tour guide Rachel who gave us a lot of information on the area which was very helpful but the tour it self was a waste of money. There were not enough substances or enough food to call it a food tour.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We would like to provide some context so that readers can also understand our point of view. During the tour, we were not informed in advance of your dietary restrictions, which meant that your guide had to make last-minute adjustments and cover additional costs to ensure you still had a pleasant experience, something she did willingly, even though it was not part of her initial obligation. It is also a pity that the diversity of dishes and cuisine you enjoyed was not mentioned, as the experience is not only about quantity. Please note that we are always attentive to our guests’ needs: if something does not meet expectations during the tour, we strongly encourage our guests to speak directly with our guides, who are more than qualified and happy to find suitable alternatives. Thank you again for your comment, which helps us continue improving our services. Marc

Excellent start to your stay in Nice. Ask for Leo if you like food and history. A great local understanding of the cuisine, culture spirit of Nice.

Fun walking food tour

Brandon_C, Jul 2025
This was a great tour to explore Nice and try a bunch of different types of local foods. We had an olive oil tasting, charcuterie and wine, a local lunch, gelato and chocolates. Everything was amazing! We walked from place to place which was a great way to explore but make sure you wear walking shoes.

Lovely food tour with Camille

It was a wonderful way to see old Nice. Very interesting and quite well organised. Food stops were delicious.

Delicious way to explore Old Nice

Jack_H, May 2025
This walking/eating/drinking tour of the heart of old town Nice was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Camille, was a delight and very knowledgeable about the subject matter. We visited five great locations on the tour, starting with a place that had excellent olive oil and vinegar. We got to sample several delicious varieties. The next stop was a wine shop, where we were able to experience three different wines, along with accompanying cheese, bread, and charcuterie. That was another great experience. Next was lunch, where we shared a platter of Socca (traditional Nice snack, sort of a cross between flatbread and a pancake. It's made with olive oil and chick pea flour), pizza, pissaladiere (sort of a French pizza common to Nice. It's an onion tart with anchovies, olives, and herbs), olive tapenade, poivronade (roasted red pepper dip), panisse (look like French fries made with chickpeas), and beignets. There was more than plenty for everyone. Afterwards, Camille gave us a walking tour of the old town as we made our way to two more food stops--one at a gelato shop and then Maison Auer, one of Nice's oldest chocolatiers. We got to sample several varieties of chocolate, all of which were delicious. All in all, this was a fun and delicious experience, made all the better by Camille. She did a great job. We highly recommend this tour.

Good variety of food, very little wine...

Carol_L, May 2025
Ilia was very nice and had good knowledge. I thought this was a food and wine tour. We only had a small glass of wine at one of the stops. It was wonderful to taste the local food.
