My family and I have been on many food tours and this was one of the best ones we’ve done. There was so much food and so many local treats I can’t imagine how one couldn’t be satisfied. Victoria, our guide was great. She had a lot of tidbits and history about the area, was able to answer every question, and really made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and satisfied. Definitely worth the money and highly recommend!

We had the best time!!!! Hugo, our tour guide was incredible! I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend all day! The tour was in the market which was nice because we saw so many things we not have, and there was not a lot of waking like in many tours. The food selections were amazing and fun. I felt like a local. My kids 21 and 17 both said it was the best food tour they had ever done and they have done many! I can not recommend this tour with Hugo enough!!

We had an excellent time with this tour and Hugo today. I felt like we got a lot of different things to try for a very good price. We ended up with a very small group and were able to chat with each other and Hugo and get our questions answered. I highly suggest this tour and learning about the market in Munich.

Zsofia was a terrific guide! Friendly, personable, engaging and knowledgeable. It was a fun and tasty experience that introduced us to the local cuisine and food culture. But be sure to come hungry- don’t eat breakfast-because you will get more than a full meal to eat. The first course is a breakfast pastry. Also be aware that alcohol is part of the tastings. We were offered beer, mead, and vodka. Also, if your tour is during the mid day, make sure you wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle. You can fill your bottle at the public fountains.

We had a wonderful food tour with Tony! Our small group of just four people, ranging in age from 18 to our 60s, made for a relaxed and friendly experience.
Tony was knowledgeable, informative, and genuinely kind. He shared the history of Munich, Bavarian food traditions, and local culture while keeping the tour fun and engaging.
We started at Café Frischhut with fresh, warm Schmalznudeln pastries, then explored the Viktualienmarkt tasting a wide variety of local specialties. We enjoyed mead and local honey paired with delicious regional cheese and fresh cherries for a picnic at the honey shop. We sampled traditional Bavarian sausages with sauerkraut and potato salad, and even tried Leberkäse. To finish, we stopped at the “Crazy Ice Cream Maker,” where we bravely sampled the currywurst ice cream, but our favorites were the cherry and peach flavors!

Don’t eat before you take this tour. It’s a lot of food and the selection was very German and very good. Not a lot of walking involved. The tour guide Victoria was very informed of the area and picked places with history behind them. We started out with a pastry called a Schmalznudeln which is a donut dipped in sugar and then did lunch with sausage sourkrout potato salad pretzel and beer and then she did a charcuterie board with fruit and cheese and a honey wine and ended up with another half sandwich. My only complaint was I couldn’t eat everything lol other than that I’ve taken some other food tours and this was the best one I’ve ever taken.

Hugo was an amazing guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local cuisine. We tasted close to 20 different foods - ranging from breakfast to dessert - and learned about their history and origins. The afternoon was laid back and unhurried. Hugo offered many fun facts and travel tips throughout the afternoon. Definitely recommend! Tip: do not eat a big breakfast before going on this tour!

Victoria was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to with some interesting insights into the food and other things we had been wondering about during our stay. My husband and I had the pleasure of taking this food tour. We first met our guide, Zsofia and Katarina, who owns the tour group. Before we even began our tour, Katarina helped us buy a train ticket for the following day. After that we began our food tour with Zsofia. Zsofia was friendly, knowledgeable and very fun! We ate and drank various authentic German food and beverages and learned so much about Munich's history and culture. We highly recommend taking this tour during your travels in Munich!

Our Viktualienmarkt tour was incredible! Our guide took us to some amazing, very local spots that we never would have found on our own. Everything we had was delicious, and the pacing between each stop was perfect. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, which made the whole experience even more in-depth. The tour guide was great and the food was amazing. The only thing we wish was less waiting and a bit more history mixed into the tour as we explored old town Munich.

Jessica, this is a market tour. You do not explore the Old Town with us. Sounds like you are confused because we have no idea what kind of "waiting" you are talking about? This is a 3-4 hour well-paced food tour of the market (as clearly listed in the tour description) and that's what it was. I mean, were you honestly thinking that you were going to stuff your face for 4 consecutive hours without taking a breath? If you legitimately felt like there was no historical information, then you clearly were not listening to your guide. We are the ORIGINAL Munich food tour, the only award-winning food tour in Munich, and the food tour with the most tastings (20+ to be exact). We are also the highest rated food tour in Germany. Again, it is a market tour, we do not "explore the Old Town," so docking us stars for not doing something we already told you we don't do in the tour description is hardly fair. PS, I'll remind, Your Highness, that you were here during Oktoberfest when all hospitality workers are overworked and exhausted. I'm sure they appreciate your patience if it takes them a few extra minutes to serve you your beer.
