Great tour, speed boat ride was quick and comfortable. Tour arrived at caves early in the morning, and we had half hour to enjoy it before the crowds started showing up. Not too packed even later in the morning. Really friendly and knowledgeable guide, great camera skills

This tour afforded us the opportunity to avoid the long lines and crowds. It was a small group and our guide was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable in all things on Elephanta Island. He kept us engaged and entertained throughout the tour. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Mumbai

Avinash is very knowledgeable in the history of the Elephanta Caves. We really enjoyed the speed boat ride to and from there. He kindly took an abundance of photos for us. He is a great tour guide.

Great tour saving a lot of time and much more comfortable than the public ferry. We were back in time for lunch! Added bonus is that the group is small -there were only 2 other couples on our tour so it is much cheaper than a private tour but with a similar experience and not having to wait for large groups to climb the stairs, take pictures etc. We went on a Sunday but would avoid the weekend if you can as the public ferry seems to start earlier and so arrived at a similar time (albeit leaving the port an hour earlier). Abi our tour guide was great - very knowledgeable and lived on Elephanta Island.

Excellent trip, well worth the money.
We had a great sea journey, and had the island to ourselves.
Towards the end of our tour around the caves, the crowds arrived !
Going back down the steps was very busy indeed due to the arrival of some boats.

The trip was exactly as described!
The guide was very knowledge & informative.
Would definitely recommend the 9am time slot as this gets you there before the crowds & gets too hot.
It does involve a lot of steps so make sure you wear suitable footwear!

Worth every penny. You get to the Elephanta cave before the crowd that arrived by the regular ferry starts pouring in. This lets you enjoy the cave without the crowd. Moreover, since you don’t have to spend ~3 hours on the ferry, you have enough time in the day left to squeeze in another tour. The guide is knowledgeable, the tour is coordinated very well. Diksha (tour coordinator) is on top of it, very responsive, and very kind. Don’t hesitate to book this tour!!

Excellent experience. Shaved off so much time. Definitely go first thing in the morning. You avoid almost all other tourists for most of your visit. Well worth it. Avinash was a great guide and very knowledgeable. He also took great photos.

This is the best way to visit Elephanta Caves! Choose the earliest time slot, beat the crowds and have the temples all to yourself. The guide was so knowledgeable, our small group of 5 learned a lot about Indian culture and Hindu religion. This is a must when in Mumbai!

My husband and I were very happy that we spent a little extra to go on this tour! Having the speedboat take us to the island meant that we arrived well before the crowds and had the Caves all to ourselves for most of the tour. It also meant that we were back in Mumbai with plenty of time for the rest of our day. Our guide, who is local to Elephanta Island, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of the caves and the meanings of the different carvings. He also took some great photos of us.

Absolutely incredible. Leaving early and by speedboat means you beat the crowd and have the whole site to yourself. Avi the tour guide was knowledgable, friendly and generous. Additionally, he was so kind to my older mother who struggled a little with the stairs. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic speed boat ride over to Elephanta island in a fraction of the time of public ferry. Great guide who was very passionate and informative about the carvings. Perhaps spend a little less time at each one as not all of the audience was as keen! The carvings were incredible. Loved the vendors and train ride back. Would recommend flat shoes due to walking up steps. Don’t miss this 3 hours. Was also given an unexpected bag of gifts - thank you!

We booked a private tour and it was smooth from start to finish. The team picked us up from the hotel right on time, and the speedboat to the island was clean, safe, and well-organised. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, walking us through the rich history of the caves in a really engaging way. They even helped with the short hike up and down and covered the mini train ride back to the boat! Totally seamless, well-coordinated, and enjoyable—highly recommend this company if you want a stress-free and memorable trip to the Elephanta Caves!

I would consider this a must-do activity while you’re in Mumbai! It’s hands down my favorite activity that I did during my week in Mumbai before I moved on throughout India. Food tours are one in a million, I didn’t feel right going on the slum tours, and I had seen all the must-see monuments in the city. This was different, exciting, and felt like something I couldn’t have discovered on my own. Narendra (the guide) took me to 3 different clubs and even though it ended up being just me and I was shaking off jet lag, we stayed out til 4 A.M. and he made sure that I got to experience each club and the different vibes/ music styles/ venues that they had to offer. I probably would have done it again if I was in Mumbai longer. Seriously— don’t miss this if you want a fun night out shown around by someone who knows Mumbai in and out.
