This tour was painful. It might as well have been described as a tour with no purpose.
I'll start with the positives. Francisco, the guide, had a decent car and drove it well. He also was polite and took photos of my wife and I. And that's where the two stars come from, otherwise, is rate it zero stars.
As for the tour itself, it was unpleasant. As another reviewer mentioned, Francisco spent much of the time on his phone. He also offered very little information throughout, and most of the time, was walking from behind me. Yes, that meant I was walking ahead and not knowing where I was going as he provided no direction whatsoever.
Francisco offered very little in terms of advising what was even offered on the tour. In fact, on the boat ride, when it got to the park he asked me if I wanted to get off the boat or stay on and go back. I had no idea what this entailed, so I advised that we'd stay on. A fellow passenger (not on the tour) overheard me and recommended I get off and explore. I then advised Francisco that this is what we wanted to do, and once again, he walked behind me, talking on his phone.
Francisco offered zero translation for the boat ride, and if you don't understand Spanish, you will learn nothing.
He also kept us waiting for 31 minutes in a park with no seating as he had to collect his car, but there was no way that his car was more than 15 minutes away. I guess he just spent more time chatting on his phone.
I'm sure this tour is good with other guides as per the reviews, but if you book this and are assigned Francisco as your guide, cancel it.

Nos apena mucho esta situación. Dentro de los guias, Francisco es uno de los mas comprometidos con el trabajo. Su vehiculo los tiene en perfectas condiciones y es modelo 2025. muy reciente. El tour se llevo de la forma muy puntual y siguiendo itinerarios, Lo monitoreamos por GPS en base a su reporte. Sin embargo este tipo de reportes nos alerta de un descuido grave por parte de nuestro elemento. Ya estoamos tomando cartas en el asunto y se tomarán decisiones adminsitrativas sobre este colaborador. Ya que nuestros indices de calidad no pueden ser cuestionados.
Actualmente contamos con difererentes distintivos otorgados por el Estado y sinceraente esta situacion no se puede dejar pasar.
Por nuestra parte verel manera de compensarlos y si no se puede lo haremos en su proxima visita. Por favor comuniquese al numero del que le hemos enviado los datos del guia.

Monterrey Tour is hands down the best tour agency in Monterrey. The experience was comprehensive and well-paced, from the smooth pickup to the excellent communication throughout. My guide, Iván R., shared thoughtful historical and cultural insights at every stop. It also helped that he seemed well-connected everywhere we went!

This was a great way to see the city and learn about its history. However, the best part was having Iván Rocha as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and even offered to take our pictures throughout the tour. I highly recommend this experience and would suggest asking for Iván specifically!

Guide started off alright. He always spoke to me and not my wife. She made all the plans and he texted her and not me…but he didn’t know that. He texted the day before and asked us if we could meet earlier. We said yes, but I had to work and we’d hurry through lunch. If he met us at our hotel then we’d save time. Okay! 20 minutes before new pickup, he said he was busy and changed it to original timeframe. Not cool. Tour started off fine, but guide became more distracted and soon was on his phone constantly…texting and calling. At the boat ride, he said nothing and we have no Spanish skills. So we waited in line for quite a long time with him on the phone. We didn’t understand ONE thing!! By the walk to the foundry, we had enough. We both were ready to go! Francisco was texting and calling the whole time. He talked to someone on the phone on the boat ride! People were looking at him! We felt it was incredibly rude! Boat ride back was the same. Nothing…We rode back to the hotel and he talked on the phone the whole time. The guide only spoke to me, and my wife was not happy! He talked to her when she talked to him. I feel like the tour could have been really cool but our guide was not!!! He was too busy with other people texting and calling!! We thought it was very rude and thus no tip was provided. Very disappointed in our guide, but we did get some nice pictures.

Hola William, lamentamos mucho la percepción del recorrido que tuvieron. Lo que tenemos registrado en el sistema es que el guía ha recibido llamadas inconvenientes en el momento de la travesia en lancha.
Estas llamadas han sido por un problema importante y personal de salud de un familiar cercano, con temas de salud grave y que el guia debia resolver en ese momento. Sin tener que cancelar el servicio.
Esta interrupción fue en un lapso de 30 minutos durante el recorrido en bote, "Paseo santa Lucia". Contamos con rastreo de llamadas en los telefonos móviles de los guias y si nos percatamos de esto. y nosotros mismo desde la agencia le llamamos por teléfono para corregirlo al momento.
El resto del recorrido se llevo con normalidad. Agradecemos tu opinión, lo cual nos afecta mucho: Pero creeme que lo vamos a mejorar.
Y Si en algun momento regresas a Monterrey, veremos la manera de compensarlo con algun tour GRATUITO para ti y tu amable esposa.

The old town portion of the trip was the best. Just the sort of thing I like. Boat tour nice but was all in Spanish. No info in English. The boat tour should accommodate their passengers if possible.

This tour was great. Our guide was friendly and was always willing to jump in and take photos for us. This was our first tour in Mexico, and I'd definitely recommend it. We were always in and out of the car seeing different areas of Monterrey, and our guide was there explaining it. Thanks!

Excelente servicio por parte de nuestro guía Iván Rocha.
Desde el comienzo todo partió muy bien ya que fue muy puntual. Compartimos momentos muy amenos mientras recorríamos la ciudad.
Si no hubiéramos tomado el tour sin duda nos hubiéramos perdido de las explicaciones y el conocimiento compartidos por Iván .
También nos tomó muchas fotos.
Súper recomendado para ir al atardecer.
