The guide spoke English, which was welcome to us. Caves had a lot of steps (751) but there is stopping along the way to catch your breath and learn about specific "rooms" you visit.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the tour itself was nothing short of magical. I had the pleasure of being guided by Deme, who gave us a warm, personalized tour in English—such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more meaningful. His passion for Mexico and the natural world is contagious and inspiring.

Its a beautiful experience!
My guide was Polo which did an excellent job explaining and providing my family with information about Monterrey. Personally I wish I would have known that the experience required us to go up and down 760 steps . I felt like the tour felt very rushed I highly recommend letting customers enjoy more time in the town or outside the amusment.

Highly recommend this. The cable car is working now so we didnt have to hike at all. The caves inside are beautiful. Our guide, Polo, was simply amazing. He was extremely friendly and helpful. The caves are extremely unique and I would recommend everyone to atleast try this out while visiting Monterey.

Though we had booked the Grutas de Garcia experience, unfortunately the caves were closed due to weather and renovations, but we were given an alternative private tour with Alex, and we had a wonderful half day tour with him. We visited the lovely horsetail waterfall and nearby observation deck, and then made our way to the "magical town" Santiago for a bit of a wander and lunch at La Postreria 77 (lunch not included, but affordable and delicious!). Alex was a wonderful guide; knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and interesting! And the sights were lovely - now we'll just have to come back to do the caves!

Alejandro was a wonderful guide. He gave us a lot of insight into the caverns but also Monterrey and Nuevo León as a whole. He also provided helpful tips for a Rayados football match we were attending the next day! 10/10

Jose gave us lots of cultural, natural and social facts about the caves. Now that the gondola is out, you have to walk to the caves. Luckily, the guide adjusted his pace for us. He brought lots of resources to help us, like water, snacks, walking sticks.
Jose shared the stories about the area that made us feel more connected to it.

The Grutas de Garcia are truly spectacular! The journey includes a steep initial hike (paved switchbacks) that took people in my group 30-40 minutes to complete. The caves themselves are beautifully maintained, with appropriate lighting, handrails, etc., to show off the beauty of the space without risking damage to either the visitors or the delicate rock formations. Afterward, we went down into the town of Garcia for ice cream, a pastry shop, and tacos — the perfect end to the trip. Alex was a wonderful guide, answering all sorts of questions, translating for those who needed it, and easily navigating the traffic. Our trip was in November, so we enjoyed cool weather. Anyone visiting during the warm season should absolutely bring water, a hat, and sunscreen for the hike up/down.

Amazing experience. Very well organized. Pablo/Team were on-time and organized. The lift to the top of the mountain is out of order, so expect an uphill 40-45 min hike (zig zagging on side of mountain). Pathway is paved, but def wear good shoes and take your time. I'm not super fast, and they were very patient with me! The trip was worth it though!

Polo & Alejandro were great! This was such a cool experience & great way to see some of the natural beauty around Monterrey. The hike up to the caves was pretty steep but absolutely worth it! Be sure to wear comfortable clothes & good walking shoes.

Such a wonderful experience. Touring the caves was awesome. We rode the Gondola up and took the trail down, which I recommend because the trail was fantastic with great views. Polo was our guide & he was one of the best tour guides I’ve had, tools us to a great restaurant for lunch & provided other great recommendations.
