Remarkable in every way! The Chef patiently explained his philosophy of cooking using simple ingredients to highlight the food we prepared and ate. The history of the place goes back several centuries and it’s evident in the pride he shows in his craft. Fantastic experience and absolutely worth the time and money.

we recently attended a cooking class in the picturesque landscape of Tuscany, and it was certainly an experience that we won't forget. The beautiful property set the perfect backdrop for a culinary adventure, with stunning views of rolling hills that made us feel like we were in a postcard.
The instructor was undeniably professional and knowledgeable, showcasing a range of cooking techniques that were impressive. However, I must admit that the class might have been a bit advanced for our technical expertise. At times.
One aspect to consider is the instructor’s strict demeanor. He communicated his expectations clearly from the outset, emphasizing punctuality and even mentioning he had plans later that afternoon and if we showed up late we would be considered a no show.—an indication of his no-nonsense approach. While I appreciate professionalism, I found it somewhat stifling at times. There were moments where he seemed frustrated with my attempts, which led to a somewhat tense atmosphere. It felt like we were there to meet a high standard rather than to enjoy ourselves.
If you’re seeking a serious and structured cooking class with an expert who takes his craft very seriously, this class would likely suit you well. However, if you’re hoping for a lighthearted experience filled with laughter and camaraderie, you might want to look elsewhere.
Overall, the beautiful setting and quality of instruction were noteworthy, but the intensity of the experience made it less enjoyable for my group and me.

The recommendation to be punctual is a demonstration of respect for me, my staff, and especially the other guests (you didn't book a private experience).
Punctuality and respect for the program and its timing are a demonstration of my respect for all my guests.
In just two words, this is good manners.
I should point out, however, that we started almost 30 minutes early and you left almost 30 minutes after the scheduled time.
The program is well-described. I'm sorry you booked something carelessly, and I'm sorry you feel this experience is beyond your capabilities.
Are you perhaps underestimating yourselves?
I assure you that most of my guests have never cooked anything elaborate before coming here: the hundreds of honest reviews you find online demonstrate their appreciation for what we do here.
The "Traditional 5-Course Menu" is the most complete, professional experience, and appreciated by all our guests.
Am I a demanding teacher? Probably yes: I like all my guests to be able to make the same dishes once they get home.
This is a "must-have"here, this is what our guests appreciate the most!
I admit that yesterday's cooking class was perhaps my most difficult ever (in over 16 years of experience), considering that I had guests in front of me who kept yawning (anything but a tense atmosphere!) and complaining every time I asked them to wash their hands to maintain high hygiene standards. We are very careful about hygiene!
This attitude was present in my audience all the time: you'll agree with me that what I did with you was exceptional!
I'm surprised (perhaps not that much) that you changed your mind about this experience: these weren't your comments when we said goodbye.
Thank you anyway for the time you dedicated to me and for the appreciation you showed us when you were here, which is also evident in this review of yours, which unfortunately penalizes us.

We had the best time cooking with Giacomo & Cristiana. They were very generous to welcome us into their beautiful home to teach us how to cook his grandmother’s delicious recipes. It was nice to meet them and also their lovely daughter- they all welcomed us and made us feel included into their family. Such an amazing experience and treasured memory. Also, the food was the best we have had along our travels.

We had a fabulous cooking class led by Giacomo and supported by Cristiana and Maria. It was a highlight of our time in Tuscany and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to learn to cook some incredible Italian dishes with key tips and tools from a passionate chef. Excellent value for money !

An excellent class. Learned so many great tips and techniques. Can’t wait to test what we learned when we return to the Stares. I give it five stars

This was an excellent class. The teacher is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about cooking and shared not only his recipes, but also many tricks of the trade that could be generalized to any type of cooking. We left the class feeling very capable of creating a five-course meal at home. And the food was delicious! (And plenty of it!). I have taken a number of cooking classes but I learned skills today which I will remember and be able to use for entertaining with style. I went to the class having no idea how to make pasta and sauces, but now I am confident I can cook both for friends and family. I highly recommend this class.

Our cooking class with Giacomo and his wife Cristiana was amazing! The food and wine pairings were absolutely delicious and we learned about the proper technique to make Tuscan dishes at home! Giancomo uses only local ingredients - organic and fresh! We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this class to anyone wanting an educational, fun and absolutely delicious experience! Grazie Giancomo!

A tremendous experience. I’ve been a quasi amateur Italian-American cook for 60 years. Cutting garlic at age 6. I learned more technical skills from Giacomo and Cristina in 5 hours than in years. In preparing a 5 course meal from scratch we learned how to select ingredients, use our knives to slice pappardelle and properly whisk eggs. Despite the high technical class level, you could be a non cook and still enjoy. Plus, the Caggioles are gracious and charming.
