Fabulous Tour!!

We booked ‘Hidden Bars’ with Show Me Melbourne via Viator. We met fellow participants at the starting point along with our guides who split us into three small groups. Our guide, Ian, took us on an adventure; visiting three very different hidden Melbourne bars that we would never have found alone. Each had its own characteristics and history which Ian explained as we enjoyed delicious food washed down with a variety of cocktails, wines or beer. The tour lasted 3 hours and we would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you Ian, you absolutely made our tour and I know all of us in your group would want to thank you for a fabulous evening.

A chance to visit out of the way bars and some great people. Perhaps eat before you go. One piece of pizza was all that was on offer. A bit pricey for what you got. Drinks at your own cost.

Lots of stairs to climb, make sure you wear comfy shoes.. must get there on time as time is very limited. We had lots of laughs with the group and found some great spots for a drink

Not being a cocktail drinker normally, I was really surprised. Enjoyed the whole night. Enough food was supplied at the second bar, almost like dinner stop.

I always find it to be enough for dinner for me, but we're mindful that some people prefer a more complete dinner which is why we don't refer to it that way. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself! There was nothing special about this excursion. We could have gone to any other bar and been served good drinks and food. We were given what I would call shared taste tester food from only one of the bars. We were starving when we left. At one of the bars we sat in the cold and the other was a lot of steps. To much money to walk in the cold and receive nothing. This is not recommended 😐

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your tour. This is the first review of less than 4 stars we have received, and around 90% of our reviews are 5 stars. The tour does not come with a meal and we do not promote that. We include some finger food. You did have one outdoor venue, however it is sheltered and has space heaters. The stairs are not something we can do anything about. Hidden bars are almost exclusively in older buildings, and are either upstairs or downstairs which is what keeps them 'hidden'. I think it is also worth noting that other guests on the same tour as you gave the tour 5 stars.

We went in this tour on Saturday and our guide Tamara was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area that we were walking and the building in which we visited. The bars really were hidden. All of the bars had wonderful atmosphere and great drinks. Have already recommended to friends.

What a great evening Ethan, our guide was excellent! The bars were fantastic! Highly recommended. Visited 3 bars purchased a drink each one. Had great pizza at the 2nd one. And cocktail at the last.
