A comfortable stroll through the streets of Melbourne while enjoying tasty samples of food that your guide has picked out for you. Our group stopped at 7 different establishments for samples of local cuisine (kangaroo, crocodile), coffee, cheese, chocolate, wine and other delicious treats.
Our guide, Jeanie, was wonderful and picked 7 winners for us!

Do not go on this trip. Nobody showed up for our tour and there’s no way to reach anyone. They tell you to email secret food tours in New York, but I didn’t get anything.

Hi Holly, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how disappointing it must have been to feel like the tour hadn’t started as expected.
We’ve reviewed the details from that day, and our guide confirmed he was at the meeting point with the orange umbrella and waited until 11:45 AM before beginning the tour. The rest of the group was able to join and continue on as planned. As noted in our pre-tour reminders, our tours begin on time to respect all guests, and guides are not able to delay the group or step away to locate anyone who may be running late or at a different meeting spot.
That said, we do appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’d welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future so you can experience the tour as intended.

We booked a Melbourne Food Tour for 27/3/26 to commence at the Flinders Street Station Clock Tower (in Flinders Street at 11 am. We arrived at 10.45 and waited until 11.15 without any guide or person carrying an orange umbrella turning up. Two Americans joined us and tried to contact you by phone- unsuccessfully. They went on there way at 11, but we remained for a further 15 minutes in the hope that you were just late. I have tried to send you an email requesting a refund but can find no email address on your site to do so, The Americans said that you are a reputable business and they and us should receive a refund without bother. I hope that they are right and if you need any further details please email me at bobhunt@iprimus.com.au and I will be happy to provide them.
It might also be helpful for you to provide a more direct means of contact on your site.

Fantastic guided food tour throughout the CBD neighborhood with a nice variety of sweet and savory treats. Items we tried included coffee, chocolates, cheeses, Chinese Jianbang sandwiches, pizzas, focaccia and wines.

I made a last minute booking of this tour and thought that it would help me kill some time in Melbourne. But it turned out to be one of the most fun filled tours that I have ever had. Our guide David was warm, humorous and knowledgeable about Melbourne food scene. He took us to places that I would never be able to find on my own and more places than we initially thought that we would go. They are indeed the secret of Melbourne! Nice chance to wander through Melbourne and learn a little about history while sampling snacks from local places. We were visiting with the cruise ship and this was a nice option for the day to visit, learn and have snacks. David was a great guide and enjoyed sharing experiences with everyone.

What a wonderful little tour. Luckily we had a small group of 8, so we had excellent attention from our guide Louise. Louise was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food culture in Melbourne. Fabulous way to spend a few hours in the CBD. Highly recommend if you are here for a day from a cruise ship.

Our Guide, Troy Hughes, met us in front of the train station, which was very close to the drop off point used by the cruise ship. He was an excellent source of information on Melbourne and wasted no time getting us started on our food tour. Our first stop was a barbecue restaurant where we were treated to Kangaroo and Crocodile meat. Next came the Kit Expresso house where the owner prepared cafe au lait with a custom portrait in each cup. Then we were off to the Tazmanian Cheese and Chocolate shop for a tasting followed by a stop at Brunetti patisserie. Then it was on to sample an excellent Chinese Crepe called "Jian Bing" and our final stop was supposed to be a Filipino Ice Cream shop, but they were not open, so our guide quickly recovered with a sampling of Greek desert favorites, which were excellent. All in all, an excellent experience that's not to be missed.

We had the BEST time on this food and city walking tour in Sydney! Our guide David was absolutely amazing — so personable and easy to talk to. He really took the time to get to know my family and me, and it honestly felt like we were just hanging out with a friend rather than being on a tour.
The food spots he brought us to were all so good, that we even managed to come back and visit a few through out our trip. I loved that he catered everything to the group’s appetite and preferences — we never felt rushed or taken somewhere just to check a box. Every stop felt thoughtful and intentional.
If you’re looking for a fun, relaxed way to explore the city and hang out with an amazing human being, I couldn’t recommend this tour (and David!) more!

We had an incredible experience on our Viator food tour of Melbourne, all thanks to our amazing guide, MarcAntoine! From the moment the tour began, he made us feel welcome and excited to explore the city’s diverse and vibrant culinary scene. MarcAntoine was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about the history, culture, and hidden gems of Melbourne’s food scene.
Each stop on the tour was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of delicious flavors. One of the absolute highlights for me was the chocolate and cheese tasting—it was truly fantastic! The pairings were rich, high-quality, and absolutely delicious. We also had the opportunity to try kangaroo, which we’ll admit we were a bit hesitant about at first, but it ended up being surprisingly good and very well prepared.
MarcAntoine also offered some excellent restaurant recommendations for places to check out after the tour, and we really appreciated how thoughtful and personalized his suggestions were—even though we didn’t get a chance to choose one due to timing and location, his advice was still incredibly helpful.
MarcAntoine’s enthusiasm, warmth, and attention to detail made this a tour we’ll always remember. If you're visiting Melbourne and want to experience its food culture like a local, this tour is a must—and we can’t recommend MarcAntoine highly enough!

Come hungry, you’ll get a variety of dishes, not just samples. David was warm, funny and inclusive. He made everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
Being new to Melbourne, this tour not only gave us fabulous food but also cultural references and historical information. We started the tour as a group of 11 strangers and left having made new friends. This was, brought about through David’s warmth and charm.
Thoroughly enjoyable day, I definitely recommend!

Definitely do this tour if you’re a foodie! I really liked that if focuses on hidden spots in the laneways of Melbourne bc there’s no way I would’ve found or known of some of these spots walking on the bigger and busier main streets of the city. Samples were generous portion sizes and I nearly skipped dinner afterwards. David was my guide and he was fantastic, honestly such a gem! You can tell he enjoys these tours and he really made sure we were all having a great time. As a solo traveler I also really enjoyed meeting other people from around the world and just getting to know them. All in all, I highly highly recommend doing this!
