Our family recently booked a private tour with Tour Guide Mazatlán during our cruise, and it became the highlight of our final port stop. The entire experience was outstanding, largely due to our exceptional guide, Jesus. Jesus was professional, knowledgeable, and remarkably patient with our group of 14 (10 adults and 4 children), including seniors, a toddler, and one person with limited mobility. The van was spacious, comfortable, and easily accommodated our strollers and walker, which made getting on and off at each stop very smooth. Throughout the tour, Jesus shared insightful information about Mazatlán’s history, culture, and landmarks, all while allowing us to explore at a relaxed pace that suited everyone in our mixed-age group. We never felt rushed, and his flexibility made the day feel truly personalized. We especially enjoyed the scenic coastal drive along what felt like one of the longest and most beautiful boardwalks we have ever visited, as well as the various stops that gave us a real sense of the city. Jesus consistently went above and beyond—answering our questions, offering thoughtful recommendations, and making sure every member of our family was comfortable and included. This tour was the perfect way to end our cruise on a high note. If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would. We highly recommend Tour Guide Mazatlán and, in particular, Jesus, for anyone seeking a first-class, stress-free, and memorable experience in Mazatlán.

Absolute Must Book Excursion!

This was our first trip to Mazatlán and our guide David made it extremely amazing. He picked us up right at the port, the van was nice and had drinks for us, he even stopped to get more beer. He took us to all of the popular places, and explained so much history of the town. We got to do and see so in our short time and never felt rushed! We saw cliff divers, the local market,the cathedral, golden zone...and thats just a few. I Highly recommend this excursion-you will not regret it!!

Best wheelchair-friendly tour ever!

As someone in a power wheelchair, my options for Mexico tours were extremely limited. Many tour operators say they’re accessible and they turn out to still have steps, etc -- but this tour was extremely wheelchair-friendly and SO fun! Our tour guide Carlos was the absolute best, full of knowledge about the city and flexible to whatever we wanted to do. He picked us up right at the cruise port on time, had a very clean van with a great ramp and air conditioning. We even got drinks and sweet treats along the way! We never felt rushed or pressured, and as a group of women traveling alone, it’s worth noting that we felt extremely safe and comfortable the entire time. I can’t recommend this tour and Carlos enough...I’m so glad we booked this tour!

We really enjoyed our private tour with Jesus, our driver and guide. We weto all the points of interest we requested which included many beautiful photo opportunities Jesus pointed out as well as places we saw a long the way. We went to the market place and walked and shopped in this area. We also visited the beautiful Cathedral and the Golden Zone. Jesus told us a lot about the history of the city, changes and heals was very humerous and witty.

We found the booth fine but there was some disorganization. We waited 20-25 mins for a vehicle for a private tour for 4 and a taxi driver, Carlos, was our tour guide. He was super nice and brought us around town. Wish he talked a little bit more. He only had two cans of beer, no water or sodas. Overall, we made the best of it and had a great time.

Mazatlán Highlights with David

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, David, who was both friendly and punctual. The tour lasted approximately 4-5 hours and covered the main highlights of Mazatlán. Although Mazatlán is a relatively small town with limited sights, David ensured we made the most of our time exploring key locations. The private tour was a fantastic option, allowing us to customize the itinerary to our preferences and enjoy the van and guide all to ourselves. Here are the stops we made during the tour: 1. Faro Mazatlán 2. Clift Drivers 3. Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 4. Old Town Mazatlán 5. Golden Zone Old Town Mazatlán stood out as the most fascinating stop. The Spanish architecture was impressive, and the traditional market was vibrant, with local shops and displays of freshly slaughtered pigs at various stands. It was a unique glimpse into local life. The Golden Zone, while upscale, felt more like a tourist trap at this stage of development. It’s still in the process of being fully developed, so there wasn't much to see beyond the construction and tourist-oriented shops. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. David was an excellent guide, not only providing insightful information about the sites but also engaging in friendly conversation about his family, business, and local perspectives. If you’re looking to explore Mazatlán for a day, I definitely recommend taking this tour!

Our guide was fantastic and so helpful! I required a scooter, and he was able to get it on and off the vehicle with help from my son. He was very friendly and knowledgeable! He provided us with beverages and was attentive to all our needs.
