Excellent experience, well organised

Andrew_M, Nov 2025
Top notch, a manageable ascent but not for those who do not have a very good level of general fitness. The ascent to the refuge is long and exhausting enough, if you struggle there I suggest you do not try to make the ascent in the morning as it is tough. As for the management of the experience, I can only give it top marks. Some reviews left the impression that communication was poor but all of my emails were answered promptly with loads of information. I was very happy with it. Hassan our tour guide was excellent. We had a group of varying abilities which I think he and his colleague managed very well . Equipment could be rented before starting the hike.

communication problem

hughes_b, Jul 2025
We had no communication about the experience, no meeting time and meeting point, until during the night before the trip, 2h before. We were worried this was a scam but finally everything happen and the schedule was good. The guide barely speak english or french so did not know the information on were we go when we eat and stuff, we just need to follow without knowing. The guide was also a bit slow, sometimes we were wondering where is the guide cause we are ready to go. He was super nice to us and we had great partner, everybody summit and it was fun. However communication problem and long waiting makes it not perfect for a guided tour.

Amazing hike and experience, communication needs improving

Mark_T, Sep 2024
Firstly, the communication leading up to this trip was not good. No response to messages sent through Viator or what’s app to the tour provider. We managed to find a number the number and phoned and were advised we would get a message on what’s app with pick up details, but this didn’t come until the morning of the trip about 1 hour before pickup, so we were pleasantly surprised to be going. Our guide Yousef really looked after us at all times, he was very accomplished for his age. As it was a private tour he varied the pace to our needs. We summited mount Toubkal and stayed in the refuge overnight, an experience in itself. Cut off from phone signal with home lovely cooked food, sleeping in giant bunk bed with people of all nationalities - a new experience for us. When we were setting off we were advised that we would need to carry everything we needed for the night so could not take sleeping bags, the refuge had blankets, we were worried but there were more than warm enough. The tour is advertised as having a mule to carry your overnight bag to the refuge, and lots of others had this so unsure why we got switched. The hike was incredible and the tour guide yousef was good. The tour company communication needs improvement.

Amazing experience

Aura_J, Aug 2024
From the begining of out hike - to the very end - everything was perfect ant taken care of: the taxi to Imlil, the guide, the lunch, dinner, the place to sleep with hot shower! early breakfast and lunch after the top… and the top.. guys, you must see it. Though the hike is not very easy, it’s quite steep. One very special person made it all even more perfect - our guide Hussain, who was leading us the way, adapted his pace to ours - one million thank you!

Excellent trek, but bad admin beforehand.

Becca_C, Apr 2023
Overall this was a good experience, however split into 2 parts - Viator/Trekking company admins (1*) and then the trip itself (4*). Firstly with the negative. Viator/treking company admins I give 1 star as they did not answer questions I asked in advance on the trip. This led to being told at 21:45 the night before the trip that they would not be able to collect me from my hotel. Resulting in >£50 of taxis in order to get myself to Imlil for the start of the trek (and home after the trek). I asked Viator >1 month before the trip, then again 1 week before and got no response. Viator could have easily communicated this in advance and I would have adjusted my plans to meet the bus. In addition the trip is not private, but we were a group of 7 people. Finally the lack of communication from Viator made it difficult to plan equipment in advance. Secondly to the good. The trek itself was excellent. Imlil is a lovely village at 2000m where you meet and gather your equipment. From there the trek up to refuge is relatively easy, although I was pleasantly surprised by lot of snow. The summit was brilliant, wearing crampons and using poles was a must to climb a steep 1200m to summit Toubkal. The way all the way back to Imlil is tiring from 4200m, but our full group summited and made it down. The trek is excellent, and our guides were good. Note that it is rustic for those not familiar with trekking - there are limited toilets and you're unlikely to get much sleep at the refuge! All part of the fun!

AMAZING!

Abigail_W, Nov 2022
A wonderful way to experience that Atlas Mountains. Our guide, Omar, went above and beyond to making sure our trip was memorable and safe. Would highly recommend him as your guide. He helped us use our crampons safely and gave us so much information about the culture.

Awesome trek experience!

iram_b, Jul 2022
Absolutely phenomenal trip! we did a 2 day hike on Mount Toubkhal with beautiful scenic views and delicious berber food and hospitality - the tour guide Mustafa and his team were awesome. They went over and beyond the care, respect and comfort we expected to receive. Will definitely recommend this tour to all!

Excellent

George_M, Apr 2022
Mustapha is a fantastic guide and I highly recommend!, a hard climb however it's made easier through brilliant hospitality

10/10 would recommend.

Lee_R, Apr 2022
The entire experience was fantastic and made the entire process very easy. All travel is sorted from Marrakech as well as where you stay on the mountain. Our Guide Muphasa was fantastic. He was very cheery, talkative and motivational. He gave us great details about our surroundings that we would never have known and was a brilliant guide. Our muler/ come Abdul was also great. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

Great Experience

Jeffreycarvalho, Aug 2018
Long hike, amazing views, unforgettable Our guide Sijad (spelling? Sorry) was great, set a good pace, was friendly and caring to make sure you are good Our cook, Mohammed, didn’t speak much English but by the end of 2 days we were quite friendly with him and very pleased with his cooking. Day 2 climbing up to the summit with head lamps was quite challenging but the reward made the pain subside Sajid, my friend and myself joked most of the way down and all the way back to Imil making many memories and conversations pieces I’ll remember forever If you are in the area and want to see something and challenge yourself to something you’ll never forget, I highly recommend doing this 2 day hike Also, try to ask for Sijad and Muhammad... miss those guys, hope to see them again someday

The Tour was amazing and we had much...

Raffaela L, Apr 2018
The Tour was amazing and we had much luck with Idris, great tour guide and he knows what he is doing, very friendly understanding guide. The 2day passt very fast and i can only recommend it. i wouldn't do the 2days alone, its nice to have someone local.

Brilliant manager and trek hosts...

Trevor B, May 2017
Brilliant manager and trek hosts prepared us for what is actually quite an endurance trek! We arrived without proper mountain gear and they happily lent us or helped us rent the right gear at reasonable prices. The journey up to the refuge was beautiful and we were well informed about the nature and cultural sights. The early start to climb the summit was well managed despite requiring a 03:30 wake up call : we were the first to the top, saw the incredible views and were helped at every step of the way by our guide. Overall, incredible trip.

2-day tour to Toubkal

Hannah_S, Sep 2025
We spent two great days in Toubkal National Park, the transport to/from Marrakech worked well. We had a very friendly guide (Youssef) who put a lot of effort into it. The climb to Toubkal was exhausting, but the effort was definitely worth it, we had a wonderful view at sunrise.

Slechte communicatie, geweldige staptocht

Alexander_W, Aug 2023

philippe_C, May 2023

Termina_R, Sep 2022

A recommander.
