We pick you up at hotel or at a parking close from your riad. Exact pick-up time & place will be reconfirm right after your booking by email or Whatsapp. We pick up travellers for free in the center of Marrakech. (Supplement fees may be applied if hotel is situated outside of the Center. Starting from 5€ / person.)

Itinerary

Get off the beaten track and escape the city during this half-day all-terrain buggy excursion into the desert outside Marrakech. This fun-filled ride offers a great mix of adventure, beautiful natural scenery, relaxed pace, and a chance discover Morocco’s ancient Berber culture.

Start your trip with a pickup from your hotel. In some cases, you may need to make a short walk to reach your ride, as not all areas of the Medina are accessible by car. From there, proceed out into the wide-open expanse of the desert, a collection of snow-capped peaks visible in the distance.

Reach the base camp for your excursion and listen to a short safety briefing on the proper handling of your buggy. Then, join your guide for a ride on the rocky dirt trails of this desert wilderness. Follow the path along desiccated riverbeds and groves of palm trees, observing the unique landscape formed many millions of years ago by volcanic activity.

Take a break by stopping by a Berber village to experience some local hospitality from a friendly family. Enjoy a snack accompanied by Moroccan tea and plenty of lively conversation, both key staples of any proper desert gathering. Continue your ride back to base camp, watching as the changing sky and desert landscape turn a soft shade of crimson and ocher. Finish your day with a drop-off back at your Marrakech hotel.

AMAZING!!! I’ve done multiple buggy and quad tours on my travels over the last 15 years. Today was hands down the best I have been on. This family run business is put together so well. A great mix of traditional settings and high quality buggy. RABII our tour guide today was amazing him and his son showed us around the dessert hills. We had a giggle with them, stopping for the views and chatting about the local life he and his family live. This was my girlfriend’s first time in a buggy, she absolutely loved it!! RABII was happy to let her set the pace to build confidence this was awesome, by the end she was flying!!! The photographer was a happy and friendly dude, photos were great and cheap! After the tour we sat in traditional settings with Moroccan tea and breads. Settings are beautiful! 10/10 recommend! Best day with great people!

Amazing experience. Small group so could go at our own pace and speed. Felt very safe and looked after. Well worth the money, we had nearly a 2 hour tour! Very well organised, definitely would do again!

Whole experience was 5 stars from the start to the end! Pick-up was on time and easy. Was only 30 minutes from our hotel to the location in the desert. Location in the desert was clean, tidy and well managed. We felt very welcome and hospitality was top tier. Sam was wonderful! He was an excellent tour guide and all round great guy. He knew his stuff and went out of his way to make our experience as good as possible. Would highly recommend asking for Sam when booking! All in all, a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking to drive buggies in the desert!

Punctual with good communication via what’s app. It takes about 45 mins to get there. They are a very well organised and professional outfit. Hair nets, good choice of helmet size and goggles. They also make sure you are used to the buggy before heading off. And yes they do actually have clean toilets with paper. A must have requirement for the Mrs. Tour guide Berber Mousheb was fantastic and really looked after us . Even tried to air hose the dust off us !

Safe, Longer Than I Thought & Great Fun

Picked up on time, great area (nice toilets, Wi-Fi, drinks and so on). Proper safety demo and equipment, shown how to work the buggy, had a few minutes with the instructor Symo (or Skmo possibly) watching in their camp to make sure everything was fine and then we went out. Two solid hours, 3 stops, uphill, downhill, sand, gravel and drove by a lot of different things. There was also a photographer with a proper camera taking photos for the first 10 minutes (see the shots attached). After the drive when we were drinking our nice tea and traditional (bread?) & honey, he showed us the photos on tablets and offered us to buy them for 200 MAD (about £15) so we did. The files were sent over by WeTransfer and were the original 6000px width ones which was great. All round a great excursion which was great value for money.

I booked the buggy tour for teenage boy, Moussa, and I. It was loads of fun and perfectly organized. The driver was very kind and considerate. He picked us up right on time. Upon arriving at the site, we were given a very thorough orientation before we were on our way. The tour was both beautiful and adrenaline (and dust) packed. Hamza does a great job at making it fun and adapting to the level of the buggy driver. We stopped to take pics and have a delicious typical Moroccan tea, pancakes with honey, olives, etc. We were both thrilled with our afternoon adventures. Definitely recommended!

What an experience! We got picked up at a spot nearby the hotel. The instructions for the buggy were clear en the guide made sure to adjust his tempo to what you like. He carried water with him and we stopped at a Berber village to get tea, pancakes and bread. A really nice guide that gave us the time we needed. A beautiful view throughout the whole route!

We were greeted by very friendly staff, the buggy was great fun to drive! Rabir our tour guide was amazing, he took lots of photos and videos of us during the activity so we could enjoy the afternoon in the desert. The helmets were freshly cleaned too. We loved having the fresh mint tea, traditional bread, oil and pancakes & honey in the Berber village near the mountains and seeing the baby camels!

Me and my partner had a superb time on the buggy trip. Our host Chaiba was very helpful, funny and was a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I haven’t done an excursion like this before but Chaiba and the team were so friendly and the buggy experience itself was much longer than I first thought. The views when driving were beautiful and the tea stop with a local was magical. Plus the mint tea and bread was delicious. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great day.

The only negative thing I have to say is the berber village. I reckon it's a waste of time. 20 minutes in a small room, people either eating silently or whispering to their partner, the air is thick with awkwardness. The locals don't speak to you, they just keep refilling your tea nonstop. They serve you some local bread with jam.Flies are constantly landing on the bread (flies vomit on bread, thats how they eat!) so my mate and I just sat there not consuming anything because getting sick is not something we desire. the whole thing is awkward. those 20 minutes could've been spent on the road! Ah, well. otherwise it was decent.

We had a fabulous time on this adventure with our 8 and 5 year olds. Safety is paramount, and our guide - whose name we think was Omar - was really great - he even took each of our kids on his quad bike, in the latter half of the tour. Our kids thought they were on a real thrill-filled tour, though in reality it's very safe. THe stop for pancakes with a local family is an amazing break and an opportunity to learn about the daily life of the family that made them. The views of the mountains and villages tending their sheep along the way are unforgettable.

This was one of the highlights of my trip! My daughter drove a quad bike, while I was in a dune buggy. Our guide was wonderful! He made sure we were safe, and guided us through the desert toward the Atlas mountains. We had a nice Berber snack at a Berber village. The most exciting part of the tour was the ride up and down the sides of some dunes! It was so much fun!
