The tour with Victor (owner of the tour company) was amazing! My husband and I received personal attention, as we were the only ones on the tour. No topic about the sites we saw were off limits, he knew his history. We enjoyed tapas in the market that he chose depending on our tastes. And then some paella at a local restaurant. 100 % would recommend this tour!

So to start with, if you are interested in history, this is a decent tour. If you think this is a good tour, forget about it.
Firstly it was just my wife and I on the tour. Kinda bummed us out cause it is fun to travel with other people from other countries. Our guide Damian was very knowledgeable but maybe it was the heat, maybe it was just us, whatever it was just very low key. Again, nothing against Damien but I didn’t get into it as much as I would like.
We could not access the cathedral due to a wedding. Bummer.
Unfortunately the food was just 2 restaurants and nothing really special. We came really hungry based on all our previous food tour experiences, and we did eat plenty, but the samplings were just meh in my opinion.
Again, if you are looking for a FOOD TOUR, I would recommend looking elsewhere. But this was a good combination of food and history.

While we don’t control events like weddings that may limit access to places such as the cathedral, we always do our best to adapt and provide a meaningful experience. Many of our guests actually value the smaller group setting, and even private tours, as it allows for a more personal and flexible experience.
Regarding the food, this particular tour offers a balanced mix of local history and traditional tastings, we are surprised you ended up full as many of our travelers cannot even finish all the food offered. For those seeking a more in depth culinary experience or even a full meal, we also offer tours fully specialized in food, with multiple stops focused solely on Málaga’s gastronomy.

Paco was great! Very knowledgeable and interesting. Low paced walking tour with great stops in the market and a local restaurant for tapas. The paella in the market is the best I’ve had!

I think we expected more tapas on this tour. We were starving when we got there and it was a long time before we saw any food or drinks. I would recommend starting with tapas/drinks and sprinkling in the history between tapas/drinks.

Our tours are designed to begin at 10:30 AM, with the first two hours focused on exploring the historical and cultural highlights of Málaga. Tapas are served starting at 12:30 PM, once the local restaurants open—unfortunately, traditional Spanish eateries do not open for lunch service before that time.
We appreciate your suggestion, but due to local dining customs, it’s not feasible to begin with food and drinks earlier in the day. That said, we’ll continue to look for ways to enhance the experience and ensure guests feel comfortable throughout the tour. Paco was a fabulous man with generational knowledge of his home of Malaga. He was very personable and knowledgeable of the area as well as being a welcomed man about town where ever we stopped and visited. We walked and talked, got vip treatment at the fort, cathedral, and restaurants, and we could tell that Paco loved to share his hometown with us. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in climbing up in the castle, being shown its construction and the purpose, wandering the roads, learning the hidden gems of the cathedral, enjoying tapas and local wines. We are not young and Paco kept a close eye on us to take breaks as necessary that he would fill with antidotes about his family history and its interwoven place in Malaga. Wear good shoes and enjoy this rich and beautiful city. If you are lucky enough to get the tour from Paco you are twice blessed. I would ask for him by name to give your tour and then relax and enjoy a truly memorable day.

We really enjoyed our walking tour and history of Malaga with Victor yday. Great knowledge and all delivered with humour and made it a fun x4 hours. The cathedral was fabulous and the fortress so interesting. Loved the two tapas restaurants and finally the sherry sampling! Great fun thanks Victor we really had a great afternoon and 18,000 steps!!

We had a fantastic tour with Paco! He gave us a ton of info on the Cathedral Mosque that we would never have learned on our own. We toured other historic places and ended in the heart of the old city, enjoying tapas, wine and port along the way. This is a family business and we met his son who was also giving a tour that day. If you want a tour with lifetime residents, we highly recommend.

Tour was well designed and on the mark
Paco knows the flow of the crowd and arranged the tour stops to make sure we had a great experience with smaller crowds - he took the time to explain details that put the tour stops in perspective and gave a detailed explanation of the Alcazaba fortress as well as the Cathedral
Paco knows how to get through the streets to show a pleasant walk and view of his city Malaga; the tour was complete with two tapas stops at very pleasant restaurants that provided nice ambiance and plenty of delicious food and wine - highly recommended tour with a passionate professional

Paco was such a great tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt included. The tour included several historical sites and we were able to skip the long lines and get straight into the attractions. Paco lead us around explaining historical significances of different elements. After several hours of walking around we were brought to 2 different local Tapas pubs were we enjoyed delicious wines and exquisite food. The best part of this tour is the small intimate group size. It was well worth the price.
This is a walking tour and there is a lot of walking involved including climbing to the top of the Alcazaba to explore the palace and the 3 outer walls. If you have a hard time with steps or up hill walking this tour may be a bit difficult for you.
