Bus picked me up an hour and a half late. We spent unnecessary time in the spice and carpet stores rather than visiting Hercules Cove and Signpost which are much more interesting places. Restaurant charged two euros for a bottle of water, that was unacceptable.
A peddler was following me insisting to buy a 1.5in wide belt that I had already told him I was looking for a 1 in instead.
Meeting time was 10 Avenida Andalicia at 5:10am. We were ther at 5:05am. Waited over an hour. Called the phone number from the confirmation email, no answer. sent Viator chat message, no answer. Sent What’s App message, no answer. Tried to leave a message on Julia Travels website, but site would not allow me to “send”. Very disappointing, this company ruined my vacation. Not enough time to book another Morocco trip for less than $1k.
Overall, I Enjoyed the trip! Could’ve skipped the carpet sales presentations etc other than that it was great!
A great introduction to Morocco. I felt safe, entertained, and comfortable the whole trip. The guides were great too!
Trip was cancelled and we were not notified. I found out after calling,after waiting for a bus for over an hour.

It was great. Met other people there. The tour was great with Michelle & Ali as guides. Take cash because cards not widely accepted in restaurants or shops
It was a long day between pick up, travel across straights, day in Tangiers, and then travel back- 14.5 hours for us. It is absolutely worth it, but if you have small children and/or having mobility difficulties it might be too much.
Our tour guide in Tangiers -Ali- was great. We had plenty of time to shop, enjoy our lunch, and get a taste of this magnificent city and its’ citizens. Our Spain side tour guide -Alicia- was also great .
Started with a nice bus drive to the port.
It was a quick hour in the ferry, which was very pleasant.
Upon arrival in Tangier, we were greeted by our Moroccan tour guide. I think the guide set the tone for the entire trip.
I felt very rushed. Every time I try to ask a question I was cut off… he had a “just follow the line mindset”. I must’ve asked about 4 times to use the bathroom for my daughter and I and he kept saying 5 more minutes 7 more minutes…45 minutes later, on his watch upon arrival at the restaurant we were able to use the facilities.
Lunch was nice. The food was OK… I was expecting a more extravagant meal for the 15 hours we were together based on the VIP experience I bought into. We had to pay for three bottles of water which was not included as part of our meal.
Multiple times, we asked to make a quick stop to purchase something, and instead our guide had only two locations on his agenda to basically force us into a pharmacy of his choice, and into an antique shop where I’m sure he had personal interest. Later, we had the opportunity to quickly pop into another pharmacy to just to compare… It was clear there was a specific agenda for us to only shop at those two places.
When we were in the souvenir shop, everything seemed a lot more expensive than some of the local merchants were trying to sell us things for as we were walking through the streets when I asked exactly how many minutes before we leave the shop so I can venture out. He was very dismissive about the meeting point… Meaning you leave the shop you’re left behind.
To be honest, the way I was treated by our tour guide. I felt like a second class citizen.
As for Tangier, I think everyone has their own reasons why they would visit. It’s a beautiful city. Historic… Culture, but a lot of poverty.
For me, the lack of sanitation, handling food was a big no no. It was a great experience, but I’m not sure if I’ll be back and if I do, it will never be with the tour company.
Also, a mother of two teenage girls, I recommend families to dress more conservatively to avoid unwanted attention.
The transportation was good - bus and ferry. Guides spoke multiple languages. The tour had a big focus on shopping. We were expecting more of a cultural and historical focus on the tour.
Great experience but given wrong information for pick up and was very frustrating. We were told 0720 pick up in Marbella and they didn't show up until 0830. We could not get any info from Viator or the tour operator and didnt know if we were ever going to get picked up. Very poor communication
It was awful! Just rushing from bus to ferry! I was pickup at 8:20 and dropped off at 10pm, almost 14h. We just spend less than 2h in Tanger rushing to resturant and then two picked up shops!
That's it! Does not worth your time and money! There was no camel ride!
I have to add that our Spain guild, David, was very kind and a gentleman, but the tour itself is not planned well!
The restaurant we were taken to for lunch was pretty good!!! Unfortunately, we were given NO time to stop to buy any goods from the vendors in the market we were rushed through...why bother taking us thru a market that was overcrowded and full of locals doing their shopping, if we couldn't stop to buy anything? We were only given time to shop at the store where we were taken. It almost seems like a scam... If that's how the tour is set up, it needs to change. The spice & herb store we were taken to, has NO labels on any of the packages!!!!! Unfortunately, I only noticed that when I got home. They should label what they sell. Am I the only one that has pointed that out? Overall, the tour was ok, but if given the chance, I wouldn't do it again. It was toooooo rushed!!!!

Day trip is a very long day out. 14 hours. About 4 hours on bus return from your Spanish town on Costa Del Sol pick up. 1 hour APX ferry Crossing each way which involved queing for the full hour on the rocky ferry to get passport stamped. Nightmare organized. Ferry was meant to depart at 9.00 am but was cancelled so didn't leave until 11.00 am so lost 2 hours of the Tangiers tour. Not a good start. That meant the Camels part of the tour just didn't happen, no explanation or apology from anyone. When landed in Tangiers the few hours in MOROCCO was nearly at running speed. Not possible if you have any mobility problems. Lots of steps and long walks. Covered over 13000 steps. Street sellers follow you everywhere. Restaurant for dinner looked great inside, but the food was very disappointing. Should cancel the time waiting spice shop part of the tour. Not a great day out.

Tour operator did not pick us up.
After contacting visitor, we ended up with 2 stories, 1 they were there, we weren’t and 2 because visitor and tour operator were slow to respond, trip rebooking not possible because we were leaving country. Refund not possible.
Guess we will dispute payment with our credit card company.
Very shi$$y customer service from victor. Stay away from them, good if everything fine, terrible if you need help!

Coming into the port of Tangier. The tour did not show you the city. It only made stops for us to pay for goods and services. Such as camel ride, pictures with snakes, being dropped off in the marketplace. Tour guide from Julie Travel was rude and not pleasant. Overall, just a very disappointing your experience that I would not recommend it to any of my friends or colleagues.

Camel ride and snake charmer were fun. Guide in Morocco was just ok. Restaurant meal was good and servers were very accommodating. Pick up was on time. Drop off was slow. We were not offered pick up close to us but others on the tour were picked up near our location. The. Casbah and bizarre were picturesque. The pharmacy presentation was annoying and we walked out. Nice to be able to get to Morocco and see a different culture which made the trip worthwhile.

Seeing a huge change in Tangiers for the better 40 years later. People are much better off. Locals even street traders deep down are in the main genuinely very nice helpful and as one said to me just trying to make a living. Both guides were excellent. Guide in Morocco loves what he does and his information showed years of experience and genuine love for the place the people and its history and customs. Could have listened to him all day. Guide on bus excellent even helped to get us home to our hotel easier. Food was nice. Music and atmosphere excellent. Restaurant was like going back in time to an era long changed, excellent. Only fault if it is a fault or slight failing is that we spent too much time in the local cosmetic section. Our alone exploring time was sadly greatly reduced. Overall a long but wonderful excellent day and on a very different continent.
Great experience, Michelle, the guide was great and very savvy to make it a smooth as possible considering the long day. Keep in mind you’re at the mercy of the weather , border patrol and traffic etc.
This was likely the most extraordinary tour I have ever had the privilege to experience. On our bus I was in complete awe of our guide's 7 languages spoken. Amazing. Once in Tangier, Said was a captivating guide. I really was expecting to be afraid in a country so different from my own, but our guide made me feel quite the opposite. I felt safe and welcome. Sitting on a dromidary, seeing a man who can kiss a cobra, dine in a Moroccan restaurant, experience the music of the country, and visit places I had only dreamed of. It was more than I expected from any excursion. My advice would be to have no less than $30 Euros in coins. There are many along the route who would like to sell you items. It would have been so much easier if I had more smaller cash. Thank you for an amazing adventure!
The bus was almost 2 hours late picking us up but the tour was not extended an extra 2 hours to give us the full value of the trip we paid for. Once we got to Morocco, we had a nice bus tour of the city but were rushed through the streets to get to lunch. There was no walk through and enjoy shopping. After lunch, another "rush" through the streets of the Tangier bazaar to get to the rug sales pitch and the spices sales pitch. Then, hurried out to get back on the bus to the ferry.
I received one message from the tour guide about the late start time and when I posed additional questions, I received no response.
The tour was overpriced for the value of what was sold to me. I would not use this tour agency again. I am surprised they are even backed by Viator who has usually been a great verifier. There was no homework done for this tour.
I really wish I could get a refund for this trip.
Well, we never got to go on the tour because we were not picked up from the meeting spot in Marbella. Viator told me the tour operator said they emailed me the day before the tour with meeting spot details, but I did not receive said email. We were extremely disappointed at first because we all had been looking forward to this part of our trip but after reading the reviews further, I don’t feel like we missed out at all.
Tour was great quick and easy got a chance to go explore and ride A camel and eat Moroccan food and check out local shops
Guides were good but if you are coming from one of the early stops (we were in malaga) it's just so much time on coach and I hadn't appreciated how much travel time was involved. Start time was 4.30am for the 9am ferry. Lunch was good and they cater for vegetarians.

This was a very disappointing trip. A 12 hour day with only 3 hours in Tangier. The audio equipment in Spain did not work and the tour guide spoke 4 languages having to repeat herself at the front and back of the bus in each language, so we did not receive much information.
The tour guide in Tangier had a lot of static in his equipment and so again very little information relayed.
Most of the trip was spent waiting for transportation or standing in line. We spent almost the full 60 minutes on the ferry in line to clear customs.
Very expensive trip and very little time in Morocco and small amount of information learned. We would never do it again and are likely to look for local tour guides rather than book through Viator.

Although we had a rocky start, first bus broke down which made us late, we missed the first ferry also due to the farmers strike blocking the border. After that, it went smoothly. The guide was very gracious.
Pickup never showed; waiting for refund. More words required? Trying to be polite about our experience.

Julia Travel S. L did a good professional job. I'm very pleased with my tour. Everything in the description and what is included section was done exactly as it was written. The driver and guides know tourism. My wife and I are happy we took this.
Our Spanish guide was wonderful, but once we arrived in Morocco it seemed like the entire excursion simply revolved around encouraging us to shop. We spent most of the time in the medina where the guide showed us one shop after another. Later he said he would show us some shopping places he thought we would enjoy, but it turned out to be one shop. Almost no one bought anything. Later he left us on our own for more than an hour, so most of the people on the tour went to a cafe and waited.
