Very personal and non corporate.Guide had a very lovely sympathetic manner . Unfortunately I had to leave the tour early due to feeling unwell this was handled like I was a friend .

Isa was a fantastic guide- her outgoing bubbly personality contributed to a really fun tour and she provided a lot of information. However under the What to Expect section on the tour description and after reading other reviews, I was surprised we only sampled almonds, olives and the “heart of Malaga” at the Mercado. The wine at the end was very nice!

Our experience with Isa was exceptional! She was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome right from the start. Her patience and genuine personality really stood out, making the tour enjoyable and stress-free. We appreciated how authentic she was in sharing their knowledge and love for Málaga. She was also incredibly efficient yet thorough, ensuring we covered all the key sights without feeling rushed.
The icing on the cake was the hand written post cards she gave us, individualized to each of her guests, it was truly heartwarming!!

We had an amazing experience on the “Go Local for a Day” tour in Malaga! Our tour guide, Isabel, was fantastic—personable, friendly, and very informative. She showed us parts of the city we never would have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights about Malaga's history and culture.
We loved sampling some of the local food and appreciated Isabel’s excellent recommendations for other things to see and do and places to eat while in Malaga. The small group size and Isabel’s friendly nature made it feel like we were exploring the city with friends rather than being on a typical walking tour.
Highly recommend this tour and Isabel as a guide!

Isabel spent time talking to all members of the group, and got to know us all. I had the pleasure of having Issa as our guide during our recent visit to the beautiful city of Malaga, and I must say that she exceeded all our expectations. Issa's extensive knowledge of the city's history, particularly about the legendary artist Pablo Picasso, truly brought our tour to life. From the moment we met, it was evident that Issa was incredibly organized and prepared. She arrived with a comprehensive binder filled with maps, historical information, local food recommendations, and more. This level of preparedness made us feel confident that we were in capable hands throughout our journey.
Issa took us on a captivating journey through the city, sharing fascinating insights about Picasso's life and the places that shaped him. We had the opportunity to see the home where he was born, visit the church where he was baptized, and even explore the Roman ruins that influenced his artistic vision. It was a truly immersive experience that deepened our understanding and appreciation for Picasso's legacy.
But Issa didn't stop there. She also introduced us to the rich cultural traditions of Malaga, including their holy week celebrations. We learned about the significance of these events and how they have shaped the local identity over the years. It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the local culture and gain a broader perspective on the city.
Of course, no trip is complete without indulging in the local cuisine, and Issa ensured we had a memorable culinary experience. She took us to a delightful pastry shop where we sampled a fantastic pastry. We also explored the bustling local market, where she introduced us to various flavors and ingredients integral to the region's gastronomy. And to top it all off, we had the privilege of visiting the oldest winery in Malaga, where we savored exquisite wines and learned about the winemaking traditions passed down through generations.
Issa's passion for her city and its history shone through throughout the tour. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and enthusiastic, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Isabel was a phenomenal tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and through in her explanations of city history and culture. It is obvious that she loves her job. The small group allowed for great Q&A and for building rapport. The Mercado and the almonds and olives were awesome! This tour is a must. Do not miss it! Isabel you are the best!!!!!

We’ve travelled a lot, including umpteen tours. Isabel is at the very top of guides we’ve experienced. Engaging, knowledgeable and with a super sense of humour. She guided us round places she visits and uses and surprised us with several Andalusian delicacies. She even provided us with tip sheets of restaurants, places to visit and vocabulary! You don’t want to miss this one.

Isa was so enthusiastic, it was infectious. We really enjoyed her stories and the history of the places she showed us. The shop owners also clearly liked her. We were given a delicious pastry at the beginning and a drink at the end which I wasn’t expecting. She chatted with us throughout and asked about where we came from and at the end she gave everyone a postcard with her personal contact information. Our guide was Isabel and we kept in touch by Whatsapp and this proved invaluable as I could let her know when I had got off the cruise ship and into a taxi to meet at the agreed place. Isabel is so friendly.
The tour itself was very interesting and Isabel knew all about the history and we went to taste some pastries in a bakery that had been going for over 100 years and then to taste some wine.
I would highly recommend this tour and Isabel was an added bonus to it. Isabel was an added bonus!
