Overview

Discover the wines of the Northern Cotes du Rhone wine-growing region on a full-day, small-group tour. After a scenic drive from Lyon, start the experience with panoramic views in Vienne, and an introduction to the region’s many grape varietals. We took two wine tours with two different agencies. Wow , they were not comparable! We highly recommend Kanpai Wine tours and excursions with guide& owner Olivier Delalande. We visited 3 extraordinary wineries, each one brought a different taste to the palette . Each winery was welcoming, very generous with a minimum of 6-9 different wine tasting of both red and whites. Their passion for their craft and products are felt in their explicit description of the processes of making their own unique wines. The wineries that Olivier chose were smaller family ran business dating back centuries. Olivier is an expert of the region, he is very engaged with his clients and has endless knowledge of the craft. He is personable, kind and made us feel at home. We highly recommend Kanpai Tours. You will not be disappointed.Enjoy and don’t forget your cameras as the sceneries of the hillside vineyards are absolutely breathtaking!!!

Great adventure and a great guide

Oliver was our tour guide for this amazing day. He was funny and extremely knowledgeable about the region and wine in general. I was a bit apprehensive about the price but it was worth it. The stops for exploration and pictures were some of the best pictures we took. The vineyard and tasting stops were amazing as well. The wine was great and an excellent introduction to the area. Soooo many different types. I believe we were at 18 total tastings but the end of the day was a little blurry.
