It was advertised as a luxury, but there was no luxury whatsoever. We booked 5am pick up, got picked up at 6am. we got to the balloons last, most of the balloons were already up. We waited over 50min when all the balloons came back down, thats when they started to blow our balloon up. Flight was smooth and quick, however without the desired sunrise and other ballons in the sky. Quite dissapointed because the whole point of booking luxury and 5am pick up was to get to see the sunrise. the vehicle that picked us up was an old egyptian transport bus(no luxury). like I said the word luxury is just to lurk you into buying.

We booked them for in the morning and confirmed our pickup time and location. The next morning we should be picked up at 5am bit nobody showed up. So we tried to contact them and know one answered the phone or replied on the messages we send. My partner and I where looking forward to do this hot air balloon tour bit ot ended up in a disappointment.

It was good, but I specially booked for the indicated time of 05:00, but they came after us only after 06:00, we were in the hot air balloon only some time after sunrise. :(

I just read that what happened to me has happened to other people too. I paid a bargain price (USD 37 / person) for 3 people for the hot air balloon ride. I booked the 5:00 am tour. A few hours later, the day before the trip I was contacted by a representative of this company (VIP Egypt tours). He told me that I had to pay USD 20 per person extra in cash “for insurance”. At this point I had no choice since it was my last day in Luxor and didn’t want to miss the experience. Of course I didn’t get a receipt or anything . Then I got another message changing the pick up time to 6:00 am. So, I missed the sunrise. The ride itself was excellent and highly recommended. And still a very good value. I have to say that except for this dishonest company, everything else in Egypt worked out well. And I booked tours, guides, transportation, hotel rooms and a cruise with many different companies. Viator should ban this company.
