Overview
During this combination tour of Costa Rica, you’ll explore the urban and natural sides of the country. First, learn about the historical center of Limon, then head to a sloth sanctuary to find out how the rehabilitation center is taking care of the critters, as well as monkeys, iguanas, and birds. Following that, stop at a banana plantation and take a short trek through the jungle where you can spot local wildlife.

Your tour begins inside the pier, where our guides will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name. Look for our red shirts for easy identification. We offer pickup right inside the pier, so there’s no need to walk outside the facilities. Timing: Tours are scheduled 30 minutes after your ship docks, with the earliest tour starting at 8:00 AM. Our tour guide (Jaret) and driver were excellent. They took us to the Jaguar Rescue Center and it was wonderful. We saw a lot of animals and learned a lot. Then we went to Cahuita National Park. It was lovely and restful. Our only complaint was that we did not go to the sloth conservation center. The title of the excursion is “Sloth and Limon Highlights” and it says we go to the conservation center. We took this excursion because we wanted to see sloths so we were disappointed.

We loved our tour! Rosa was amazing she is very knowledgable. We went to the Jaguar / Sloth sanctuary and for a walk in the Cahita nature reserve. We saw lots of wild animals including cappuccin monkeys, sloths, a viper and more. We went to a small plantation then where they grow bananas and pineapples.
Small mini bus was like new, air conditioning excellent and water was given throughout the trip

Our tour guide, Kim, was pleasant and informative. She kept us on schedule and made sure we saw everything included in our tour. I didn't know a tour guide could be so nice. When we were in the national park, Kim shared with other tour guides the best places to view animals. Some other tour guides we passed didn't say anything and looked like they didn't want to be bothered.
One of the travelers on our tour had trouble walking and Kim was very accommodating.
We traveled in an air conditioned van with free wifi. Our driver Fabian, made sure we arrived safely but quickly. I loved being on a small tour with only 4 people. Kim made sure to deliver us back to our cruise ship half an hour before boarding. We were happy to have such a great experience and we'll definitely book again with our next tour along our cruise.

It starts with an hour drive to an animal sanctuary. Then you listen to an entitled American volunteer speak about 10 animals for 1.5 hours. After that you will stroll down a path between some trees, they call it the rainforest. There are about 100 other tourists alongside you, good luck seeing an animal. Finally the stop to rip you off at a souvenir shop. Gifts are at least 30% higher than cruise port or sanctuary. The only reason I gave this any stars was because our tour guide was the best I’ve ever had. It’s not the guides fault they work for such a poor itinerary, everyone needs a job.

We had a small group on this tour with our family of 5 and 2 others. The guide Eme did an amazing job introducing us to the culture of Costa Rica. We had great visit to the national park and the Jaquar rescue center seeing many different animal species. All in all, this was a great tour and we had an amazing day in Costa Rica.

We had the best day with Ian and our driver “Jonny”. I thought it would be a bigger group, but it was just me and my husband, which allowed us to ask lots of questions. Ian was very knowledgeable and pointed out sights on the way to the sloth sanctuary & then on the way to the rainforest. He answered all our questions about Costa Rica culture and just general questions. In our rainforest trek, he again was super knowledgeable about the wildlife & pointed out numerous animals we would never have noticed. It was a great tour!

We loved the fact that the driver could spot monkeys and sloths up in the trees when to us first looking at them it looked like a bunch of leaves in a tree. Both the driver and the tour guide were engaging and personable. We had a blast on the tour and would do it again. Gato the driver and Racheylen we a perfect combo.
