Fantastic trip. Adrian was an extremely knowledgeable guide. We saw loads of species, 2 and 3 toe sloths, snakes, various lizard, iguana, butterflies, monkeys and many others, we would not have spotted half of them without him. Not only did we see them but he explained so much about them. You definitely need a guide in the Cahuita park and Adrian was fantastic, he even helped other guides to see things.
We didn’t get deep into the park as we saw so much and were taking our time to look at the various species. We took a short break at the beach before heading out and on to Bri Bri falls. A shorter visit but to suit us and Adrian again pointed out various species including tree frogs and bullet ants en route then took us down to the falls where you can swim or sit on the rocks and dip your toes in. Supplied a fruit snack and biscuits! You could also get coconut water here.
I can’t recommend this tour and Adrian the guide enough. We wish we’d known about him sooner as he does tours to Manzanillo too.
Well worth it if you actually want to see and learn about the various animals, reptiles, birds, fauna and flora of Costa Rica. You even get a pick up and drop off, still back in time to have some afternoon left over.
Amazing experience! We got to see so many animals at the Park and the hike to the waterfall was amazing. The best part was swimming in the waterfall and going in the waterfall. This blew our expectations out of the water!
It's a wonderful experience! You won't regret it. Obviously, with nature, you can't be sure what you'll see, but our tour guide Adrian was very informative as was our driver Rodrigo.
Is more than we expected! Amazing tour and friendly guide! The experience is unique!!! Adrian ensure we get to see everything we could! And the waterfall tour was a harmonious time despite the walk to get there!!!

Had a great day with our Guide Adrian who was very knowledgeable & friendly & made sure we had an amazing day! We saw so much wildlife we would never have seen without him! Sloths, Howler Monkeys, white face Capuchin's, Black turtles, yellow foot Crane, Iguanas, lizards, Red Frogs plus loads more I can’t even remember it all! The Cahuita National Park was Amazing & to top it off a lovely cool dip in the Bri Bri Waterfall! We also had Snacks, Fruit & coconut water & the opportunity to have a Coco Loco with the Local Vendor who sang us the ‘Coco Loco’ song while we ate & drank! Brilliant day out well worth the trip!
Cahuita is easy to do without a guide. This tour only goes in a km or so, while on your own you could travel much further.
Waterfall was fine but there are many better in CR and, again, you could visit it for a tenth of the price on your own.
The Cahuita National Park tour was an absolute highlight. Our guide, Adrian, shared impressive knowledge and pointed out many animals we would never have spotted on our own. Afterwards, we visited a small local waterfall and enjoyed some fresh fruit as a snack. A well‑rounded, memorable experience from start to finish.
My husband and adult daughter took this guided tour. It was worth it. Shuttle pick up at our hotel was convenient. Our tour guide Enmanuel was knowledgeable, kind and personable. We saw many wildlife. And the waterfall was so refreshing to swim in at the end and the drinks and fruit were delicious. We tried a Granada fruit. yum.
This tour was great! Tour guide Emma was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the animals we spotted in Cahuita National Park. It's obvious he loves his job and his country! The waterfall experience after the tour was AMAZING and a lot of fun. The mother/daughter duo also on the tour were fun to spend the day with. Highly recommend this tour!
The guide was very knowledgeable and spotted so many animals. Oftentimes before other guides did. In addition, the group size was smaller than other tours and so we got to experience most of the wildlife with only few people which made for a unique experience. Access to the waterfall was easy and we were able to go for a swim in the end and enjoy fresh fruit that was provided by the guide.
All of the above, with the ease of pickup and dropoff at our hotel, made this a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.
Adrian was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed having a guide with us since they are able to spot many animals that we won’t be able to by ourselves.

Great value for money. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable We learnt a lot about Costa Rican wildlife and saw examples of many on the tour. Id highly recommend it.

We had an excellent time with Adrian. He was very knowledgeable about the park and the animals. We saw many different kinds of animals on the tour, many that other guides were just walking by. The waterfall was nice, fun to swim under and relax. If you are in the area, do this tour, it was great.

Really enjoyed my time this morning with Adrian, Kenlley, and a family of 4 looking and finding different species of animales y insects at Cahuita National Park. I appreciate the convo with Kenlley, especially as a solo traveler - it’s nice to connect and learn about people’s lives during my travels. The waterfall was a peaceful way to end our time together. Don’t hesitate to book this experience!
We had a beautiful morning with an intimate group of 4 — Adrian was an incredible, knowledgeable guide and ensured everyone had an amazing time. He was particularly kind to and engaged with my 10 yo son, showing him how to jump off the (lower) rocks in the waterfall and swapping facts with him. On the tour we saw monkeys, raccoons, pit vipers, sloths, and more. Highly recommend! Only note is to reach out to arrange pick up location / time in advance as that wasn’t super clear based on the meeting location details.
I had so much fun on this tour with Adrian. He’s a brilliant guide. He was very funny and one of most endearing guides I’ve had in CR! Without him we never would have spotted all the wildlife. His eye for finding animals is like a 6th sense. He’d suddenly set up his telescope and we’d be in suspense about what he’d found next! We saw sloths, monkeys, 2 eyelash vibes, green and brown basilisks and so much more! Then we went to the waterfall. The little hike is lovely. He really took care that we were all safe on the slippery rocks / mud etc. going in the water was so fun. Then he even jumped / summersaulted off the rocks for us! Impressive stuff! All the fresh fruits and coconut water was also a lovely
If you are in the Puerto Viejo area - do this tour!
Lots to see, our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We loved the dip in the waterfall as well as the hike to get there. I would highly recommend this one.
Adrian is a really nice and funny guy. He explains a lot of things about Cahuita, Flora and Fauna and what else you want to know.
The trip to the waterfall is so amazing, you can swim there and enjoy some snacks. Back again at the top (maybe 10 minutes) we got a coconut and some ananas, just great!
Excellent tour! We never would have seen the animals and plants the guide pointed out to us had we gone to the park alone. We learned a lot about local plants and wildlife, enjoyed the scenery, and had fun spotting animals in the canopy. Highly recommend!
This is an easy and gentle walk through the park and minimal difficulty getting to waterfall. Waterfall was beautiful and example of nature working amongst modern society. You can see road and bridge above but they do not change the beauty. Adrian was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals we explored. He made the trip very enjoyable.
This was a great experience! Adrian was very knowledgeable, spotting all kinds of birds, mammals, and reptiles with a keen eye that we would not have noticed on our own. He knew a ton about each and shared what he knew with a clear love for all creatures. The waterfall was beautiful and refreshing, I could have swum in it all day. Thanks for a day of fun, learning, and feistiness!
Highly recommend this tour!! Adrian is an excellent guide. He is highly engaging, funny, chill, and extremely knowledgeable about the jungle ecosystem and its inhabitants. He also has a super-human ability to spot jungle critters we would have missed altogether. Cahuita was gorgeous, and the trip to the falls was a definite bonus! Andrian entertained us by climbing up and jumping off the rock by the waterfall, and he was even able to coax my very shy teenage daughter to swim under the waterfall. The day was a 10/10!
The guide Adrian on Cauhita tour was amazing. Not only did it have a great personality. He could just pick up so many little things. Every time we turned around, there was something else to look at and more information and more education. I’ve never had such a good time on a tour.
I was picked up at 7am by the driver. Adrian was a really nice and funny tour guide. He explained and showed us a lot of animals in the national park. He spotted a lot of animals casually like "invisible" snakes, a Mama with a baby and strawberry frogs.
We were the first people at the waterfall which was really nice. I can highly recommend the tour.
